"Why?"
I ask, puzzled.
He squinted like he was looking at something far away but could't see it. He pushed his small brown rimmed spectacles up the bridge of his nose, stroking his white beard.
"I couldn't tell you that. You must look inside yourself.. There is the time and place you will find the answer you are looking for."
And he vanished, as fast as he had died the last time.
The pair of spectacles were all that remained, glinting in the sun on mothers old wooden dresser.
"I will grandpa.. I will."
From a book I am writing, not very poetic maybe, but the quotes are simply brilliant. Had to put it here. Thx for reading!

Do you hurt the way I do?
Can you feel love?
Should everybody know,
how does it feel to be loved?
Can you see?
Can you see all the hatred I see?
Would you be,
would you be there for me?

All these questions,
in our heads
All these thoughts,
come flooding in
Tell me what you're feeling, yeah
Tell me what you're thinking, yeah
Let's lay our troubles down,
lets let it all out
Instead of bottling it up
And carrying it around.

Do you feel?
Do you feel the frustration?
Are you sick?
Are you sick of straining?
Does your energy,
Does your energy feel like it's draining?
What are people saying?
Are they saying you are
taking everything in vein?
(MMMM)
Tell me everything,
Tell me all that's on your mind.

All these questions,
in our heads
All these thoughts,
come flooding in
Tell me what you're feeling, yeah
Tell me what you're thinking, yeah
Let's lay our troubles down,
lets let it all out
Instead of bottling it up
And carrying it around.

Do your thoughts,
do your thoughts keep you awake real late?
Tell me is there,
is there a solution for what you're feeling, yeah
(MMMM)
Can you see?
Can you see there are people
who want to be there
Can you trust?
Can you trust in another person's love?
Can you confide?
Can you confide in another person's heart?
Do you know,
do you know there's someone to help you out there, yeah

All these questions,
in our heads
All these thoughts,
come flooding in
Tell me what you're feeling, yeah
Tell me what you're thinking, yeah
Let's lay our troubles down,
lets let it all out
Instead of bottling it up
And carrying it around.

Wrong deed for right reason?
Or
Right deed for wrong reason?

Mistakes are questions,
Questions have solutions,
Solutions are confusions,
Confusions are illusions,
Illusions are again questions,
Revolving in revolutions,

Mistake is the revolution.....
One must do for progession
And satisfaction...
With sacrifice and dedication....
To learn new lesson &
Correct direction......
Sometimes mistake happens.... But we should give second chance to ourself...To correct it.
That's how we learn....
when you look into my eyes, what do you see?
do you see what I do when I look at you?
do you see the possibilities,
the opportunities?
do you see the ugliness that is so obscure it becomes an artist's best creation?
because when I look at you, and boy do I ever,
i see a reflection of everything I've ever wanted to be.

when a window is opened, what do you notice?
which sense is disturbed first?
is it the coolness as it slips through the bumps on your skin,
is it the whistles the wind sings to your ears,
is it the smell of the crispness that the earth provides,
or is it the sight of the gift the world's given you?
because when I open my windows and I allow myself to sense you,
i can not decipher which sense I feel first.
all at once they explode within me and all that lingers is warmth.

so, again, when you look into my eyes, what do you see?
because I see an ideal that I can't quite grasp.

Sometimes I feel like
I am not the me I'm
Supposed to be.
In the mirror there are eyes
Looking back at
A disguise someone
Else molded.
Even though you
Held me together
My soul was still
Severed and I can't find
All of the pieces
To make me remember
Who I was.
Before the scars on my
Heart made its beating
Erratic and before
Every song that I heard
Went from lyric
To static.
Before the touch of a hand
Made my blood run cold,
Before the sight of you
Started getting old.
While the thought of
Living without you
Makes my smile fade
A smile that I made
To oust the darkness;
Sometimes I wonder
What happened to the
Younger me that
Yearned to be free.

Living in a time
where nothing feels quite right
Why does it feel like
All eyes are on you
I’m just trying to live
and express the best way that I can do
people criticise every opinion you display
but I guess that is okay
that is the sacrifice we have to make
with freedom of speech anyway

I don’t want to become
numb to the fact
that people are turning their back
on love, on love
In a world rooted in hate
some of us are just looking
for a better way

Everywhere I seem to look
Everything I seem to hear
is spoken in words out of fear
From the left to the right
Nothing ever seems to reach compromise
Am I looking from the inside out
Does this world seem to be
tipping upside down
Because I can’t figure this out
Looking at reflections
In deep thoughts now
Don’t know how this will turn out
Got grave fears for this earth now

I don’t want to become
numb to the fact
that people are turning their back
on love, on love
In a world rooted in hate
some of us are just looking
for a better way

There is a tension growing in the air
I can feel those icy cold stares
Trying to focus on thoughts inside
Emotions exploding through my mind
Happy, scared, confused, rage
change in an instant at times
And I’m still thinking what can I do
Change is something that I want to
Some people just say things
without thinking it through
and the implications of the harm
That it can cause
People scream and shout with force
Just hope that your argument
comes from a reliable source

I don’t want to become
numb to the fact
that people are turning their back
on love, on love
In a world rooted in hate
some of us are just looking
for a better way
