Dear America,
what have you become,
so busy worried about where you’re going,
that you’ve forgotten where you’re from,

I am your begotten son,

and I love you,

I love you,
more than these wonderful words can say,
I love you but I don’t know what to do,
because I fear that you’ve gone astray,

like an abusive drunken Trump father,
or a used up distracted Hilary mother,

you seem so drunkenly enraged by greed,
engaged in a lustful want that you falsely believe is a need,

“Oh say can you see,
by the dawn’s early light”,
we bomb people we’ve never even seen before,
something must be wrong because nothing feels right,

why,
why am I scared of you,

maybe it’s your violent tendencies,
maybe it’s your egotistical ways,
maybe it’s how you’ve created all these enemies,
and now these enemies won’t just leave us alone and go away,

“Oh say,
can you see,
by the dawn’s early light”,
you are my parents and I look up to you,
I love to see the Statue of Liberty’s guiding light,

but honestly,
at this point I don’t know what to do,
I am your son,
and even after all you’ve put me through I still love you,

but I am absolutely terrified at what you’ve become,
what we’ve all become,
and even when I run far away to try and escape,
I realize we are family so no matter how far I run,

I am still an American,
because I am America’s Son,

come,
back home,
back to the times of apple pies peace and butterflies,
before,
the drones,
and satellites appeared ominously like shooting stars in the summer skies,

come,
inside,
let’s talk about life over home cooked pumpkin pie,

I’ve got some questions and I don’t mean to pry,

but why have we had to capitalize off destruction,
why do we still have war what is it’s real function,
why destroy when we can construct a constant connection,
a solid foundation with good intentions and clear instructions,

so we can finally heal and move forward as a family that properly functions!

Be a good husband,
be a good wife,
be a good person,
lead a good life,

look,
it’s not that complicated,
see all us children would forgive all your murderous mistakes,
if only you’d just take the first step and admit that you made them,

he served two tours in Iraq gave his all and lost his life for this country,
and all he got in return was that Arlington grave you gave him,

God please save him,

he was a good kid,
even though he killed,
he did it because his Uncle Sam told him to,
please don’t place him beneath us in Hell,

Uncle Sam didn’t know any better either,
and it seems his parents had raised him quite well,
but Uncle Sam’s not his brother’s keeper,
I am and I know my brothers well,
and when any of us lose any of our lives,
we only pray we leave with a story to tell,

because maybe we believe,
that when we leave this life we lead,
at least we leave the world a little bit better,
from sea to shining sea,

at least,
a little,
bit,
better.

Whatever,
what more do you want me to say,
I love you I am your son,
but I’m scared and that scared feeling won’t just go away,

“Oh say,
can you see,
by the dawn’s early light”,
I write by the light of the bright stars,
and through these words I’ve earned my stripes,

and since we’re on the subject when did the public,
go from stars and stripes to bars and fights?

Honestly America,

as much as I distrust and despise you I still put no one above you,
even though I’m ashamed of you for invading our privacy like an invasive enema,
I don’t even trust you anymore and the only One i used to trust was you,
you’re like a blemish on otherwise perfect skin like irritating eczema,

I am embarrassed,
of the ways in which you’ve behaved and all you’ve put us through,
but I am still your begotten son,
and after all you’ve put me through I still love you…

“Oh say can you see,
by the dawn’s early light”…

A Great America – Poetry by Toni Payne.
I live in a country where
you are not just told to be all you can be
you are given the tools to do just that
I live in a country where
when things happen that are not right,
people don’t just sit back and ignore because it doesn’t affect them
I live in a country where
the voice of a child to help the homeless is not dismissed because she is too young
I live in a country where
charity is encouraged and oppression is discouraged
I live in a country where
when there is injustice dealt to a black man
both black and white will come together in protest
I live in a country where
irrespective of our differences, we stand together in times of tragedy
I live in a country where
most are compassionate and taught to be their brothers keeper
I live in a country where a nightclub shooting will bring out people
en-mass to donate blood, time and food, irrespective of their lifestyle differences
I live in country where
the six month sentence of a ****** causes mass outrage and protest
I live in a country where
the abuse of a child will cause mass public outrage
I live in a country where
irrespective of your social status or how much money you have, domestic violence is not tolerated
I live in a country where
a man can choose to preach hate, and the masses instead choose to accept love
I live in a country where
people care, people share, people speak for the weak
I live in a country where
people use their wealth to help, not to oppress
I live in a country where
animal lives are also important
I live in a country where
no matter how different we are
no matter how near or how far
no matter what differences we share
no matter what laws are not fair
one thing we all have in common is that,
in out own little way, with every passing day
we care for this great nation and want to make it a better place.
I could go on and on about what makes America great even with
it’s very visible imperfections
What makes America great to me you ask? –  The People
Who is America? What is America?
America is a melting *** of different people from different places
with their different cultures, different values, and different views
and someway, for the most part, most times,
we all manage to live in Harmony, sharing in the beauty of our differences.
From time to time, some of us will go against the grain,
and when that happens,
most of us will stand together – with love in our hearts because
United we stand, Divided we fall..
This to me is – A Great America.

The hues that we respire
the chants of myth
heavenly birds in the ghats
India brims with the untouched
borders of mortality
Fifty years of peace,
Not always been bliss,
But they've all been filled with hope,
Seeing things get dope ;)
Going up the *****,
Christian nation,
So proud of this declaration,
But it doesn't mean other religions we can not allow,
There's always been freedom of worship even upto now.
Mother Zambia, indeed you're as peaceful as a mother,
Interesting and vibrant like a brother,
Loving as a sister.
Free from disaster,
Blessed are you among all nations,
These are my simple declarations,
That you shall exceed,
Greatness you shall supersede,
As I continue to intercede,
For your eventual success
You shall stand out in the masses.
For my country Zambia. Not yet independence day but yeah ;). The upcoming independence day will clock us 51 years of freedom.yeah yeah I know most of don't give a **** about such lol,but what the heck, just had to post this :p ,I love my country.

I remember the restaurant,
The one Grandpa
Had brought us to –
Window panes in patriotism
And pancakes atop, “America,”
The world revolved,
“America,”
And how we’d made it
“Home” –
So came the syrup, destiny
And fervor caked powder plate.

He knew of my toil, ills, and tolls
Pandered atop horizons
Hindered Mao and red
As we sat near dawn over coffee
And something south of
Conspiracy – opposite my dream
And collusion to **** said
Destiny,
But it was still, “his
America,” not mine and he’d
Sleep when I wouldn’t.

So it pained me, resonant a twitch
Within this small inch of
Remnant family, to tell him,
“We’re going back,
We’re leaving tomorrow,”
And, “I don’t know when I’ll be
Home,” gramps,
“I don’t know if I’ll ever be home,”
And he’d say prior ever’d silent –
“Good luck sleeping on that one,
Son,” I just know he would.

I told Him what was in heart
And made a test of my fate
Who challenge the cause of coming?
He wished so I came!
No any other game, no need of fame
He wished I came, same, same, same
-----------------------
Be martyr, victim and clash in conscious
Are deeds of one, who is the patriot
any other big giant who was passerby
I saw and ignored him soon
No any other game, no need of fame
He wished I came, same, same, same
-----------------------
Your anger is chased by a cause
Everyone is changed and stranger
Come on to meet him
Who has left all for you
No any other game, no need of fame
He wished I came, same, same, same

A translation of my own poem written in Urdu language. The name of book is "RAH TAKTI AANKH (راہ تکتی آنکھ)"
Can you remember my friend?
We were walking together with same plan
Conceived together with same pang
Can you remember the priceless pain?

We promised to stand under same umbrella
And took shelter underneath the same tree
When at rain or required to take a little rest
Can you remember my friend?

Thoughts of time made the strong ideas,
We composed an ode of ideology
Died when it was young and possible
Unrest our love even our life
And children never smile again

Now the difference is too high
between -
The rich and the poor
The male and the female
The king and the pawn

And I see a far distance between hope and hopeless
Can you feel my friend?
The difference and the anomaly

We lost all of our commitment for man and mankind
And we painted the dark future of our children
The song of joy that now a coy

Can you remember my friend?
Can you ever remember?
Ah! My friend
'O' No, my friend of mine

@ Musfiq us shaleheen
The broken commitment, An early death of an ideology
A little say to you, my darling
You don't come and love me
I can't commit you as because,
I am not alone, I loved thee -
A millions of patriotic heart
are hopefully waiting for me,
And I have been hearing thee
voices from dawn to till night -
They are calling me as slam-bang
with a same lyric and melody,
As like as a national anthem
is sang as sonorous by together thee,
Darling, I can love you if you love thee
If you come and go with me there
and sing a song what they are singing,
I commit you that I will be with you
forever and ever -

@ Musfiq us shaleheen
This is a commitment of one lover to his /her darling with some condition where love makes the ultimate commitment with a larger perception.
