Over Silesian mountains
Somewhere beyond black seas
There is a forgotten dream
Conjuring visions of peace

Go your own way, go now, go
You are meant to lead, not follow
Walk on, fly by, sail ashore
To the land that you adore
Go your own way, go now, go
You are meant to lead, not follow
Walk on, fly by, sail ashore
Go your own way, go now, go

Many lives faced the dream
More of them fade to black
But in the eyes of the eagle
There is no turning back

Go your own way, go now, go
You are meant to lead, not follow
Walk on, fly by, sail ashore
To the land that you adore
Go your own way, go now, go
You are meant to lead, not follow
Walk on, fly by, sail ashore
Go your own way, go now, go

Their hearts are worn on sleeves
Determination so earnest
Merely calm before the storm
Quiet before the Tempest

Go your own way, go now, go
You are meant to lead, not follow
Walk on, fly by, sail ashore
To the land that you adore
Go your own way, go now, go
You are meant to lead, not follow
Walk on, fly by, sail ashore
Go your own way, go now, go
Inside the city walls
The static is meant to frighten
Those who await the call
In the echoes of the siren

Go your own way, go now, go
You are meant to lead, not follow
Walk on, fly by, sail ashore
To the land that you adore
Go your own way, go now, go
You are meant to lead, not follow
Walk on, fly by, sail ashore
Go your own way, go now, go

There are many roads to follow
Some of them are painted red
Yet as long as we march on
No one can declare us dead.
Attempt at a Polish-style folk ballad for poetry class.

Oh our nation, of freemen
Listen to this glorious plan
To build as such this nation
Of which we shall breathe and love!

A land stricken by beauties dawn
This sweet land of blindness
To such as classes or race
This land of sweet harmony!

For our native kin do cry
'Aotearoa!'
Make our nation, good and great
God defend New Zealand!

May our foes, welcome us
as a mighty host do pray
Let them fear us then let them live
Mercy ever be our boast!

God of battles, in thine anger
Put our enemies to flight!
Let our cause be just, be right
God defend New Zealand!

Believe! Believe! O'er the land,
Land of the free and the loved
Darling and bonnie are thee!
My sweet sweet country!

Fore'er wave thy calming ensign
The banner of our kind home!
The Stars and Jack shall rise once more!
Today, or tomorrow's morn'!

From sweet England's pleasant plains
Ireland’s isle, and Scotland's while
Sweet Pacific's beaming stars
God defend New Zealand!

May our nation ever be
free and just and honourable
God save our queen god save peace
God defend New Zealand!

From dishonor and from shame
guard our countries spotless name
Crown her with immortal fame
God defend New Zealand!

Let our rill-sides ever be
liberty upon the seas
Make us happy, keep us free
God defend our freeland

Guard with in the nation van!
Never to seek slaveries brand
keep her safe and keep her free!
God defend New Zealand!

or,
Maori, English, Dutch and thee all!
Pleasant rapture to our kin!
God defend our New Zealand

Unheard-
They poke and ****.
Absurd-
I don’t fit you description of a ******-
So doctor, jump me.
I didn’t ask for the
Endless sob-
The rejection of fleshing
My health and anxieties
Into human form again.
You’re not a friend,
You’re a judgmental man
In a lab coat
Who denotes his time to
Giving patients unanswered answers
And more pills.
I’m never going to be sorry
I do not fit into this
Patriotic Addiction
That has taken so many from me-
How dare you…
Bring me a rocket
Ma,
I'll be an astronaut.

I'll visit Dad's star
And ask him
Why doesn't he ever return.

I'll visit Dad's star
And ask him
Why he never waves back.

I'll visit Dad's star
And ask him
Why they had wrapped him in a flag.
A sad lament of a child who misses her martyr father.
Happy labor day
family, friends and picnics.
childhood memories
The red, white, and blue
The colors of our flag that shine through
Our nation will always stand tall
And rise above it all
This is a time for a celebration
For this holiday tradition
America is the good land
Where all of us will raise our hand

Be patriotic,
Patriotic be
Everyone,
You and me.
Heigh **.! Shout thou.!
For thy land's song, for thy land's fair renown.

That man shall be as dark as Erebus,
whose ***** ne'er growled to return,
'That was my land, my dear native it was'
the one: ne'er hath this said, ne'er hath this sung

Such a man, through angel's marks,
would go down and deeper at the eventual phase;
Regardless of what he receives o'er there;
A tainted metal and deservedly disgrace

Be patriotic,
Patriotic be
Everyone,
You and me.
Heigh **.! Shout thou.!
For thy land's song, for thy land's fair renown.

He'll hath high titles and seamless wealth,
selfish wishes shall ask;
Despite those medals, rewards and honours he will trip,
faltering and facing the blast

Thou don't be the one,
work for thy fair mother's renown,
incessant be,
or doubly die, with a fading pronoun

To the vile dust from whence thee sprung,
Unnamed, unhonour'd and unsung
You'll receive what you doth give,
To your mother, nature and kin

Be patriotic,
Patriotic be
Everyone,
You and me.
Heigh **.! Shout thou.!
For thy land's song, for thy land's fair renown.
I love my country, you should too.

Cold

Cold is the flesh of one departed
But not forgotten, not alone
Their name is lost but their deed remembered
Cold is the flesh, cold like stone

Hard

Hard was the task of those departed
To give all, and remain unknown
But they did not falter, remained unyielding
Hard are the features on a face of stone

Strong

Strong were the spirits of those departed
Even when lead tore flesh from bone
They marched as ever for king and country
Strong were the beats of their hearts of stone.

Proud

Proud are we to have come to know them
The men and women who call this land home
Ever defiant, ever courageous.
Proud am I of this my land of stone.
"Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once." William Shakespeare.
This is probably the piece im most proud of.

Between
Patriotic and Extremist

Just,
A single word of understanding
On faith

Sighted Vs. Blind.
Theme: define difference
If one question the science of faith, it is rational. If faith is innately adopted, without reason, it may be blind. No offence.

"It occurs to me that I am America.
I am talking to myself again."
- Allen Ginsberg

What does it mean to be an American?
Does it mean I can say the
Pledge of Allegiance
When I'm told?
Does it means that I can vote for
My president,
Governor, and
County clerk
Even when every choice is a Condemnation?
Does it mean that I must be
Proud of the military?
Does it mean that I am
Entitled to the world's oil reserves?
Is being an American a liberty or
A constraint?
Why are America's trails full of tears?
If I am cold will the
Flag serve to warm me?
Will that be enough?
Is it ever enough?
Does "one nation under God" refer to
My god, too?
Does America's god practice
The golden rule?
When will America keep its nose
Out of the Middle East?
If America loses its nose
In the Middle East, will a new nose
Be elected - this one twice as nosey?
Does being an American mean that
We can only dream in
Red or white or blue?
Does the American dream seem like a
Nightmare to anyone else?
Is it America's bad conscience
That keeps it up at night?
Does America ever get the blues?
Does America ever open a dictionary?
Does America know the
Difference between "democracy" and
"Oligarchy?"
Is America aware that I do?
Can America survive on
Minimum wage?
Does America pay its taxes on time?
Does America go to work every day
With a smile?
Does America punch out and feel Proud?
Does America really blow smoke
Up our *****?
Is six dollars and seventy-seven cents
Enough to get me through the week?
Does America only have one life?
Is one life enough to satisfy her?
What about three-hundred million?
What about me?
