The color of hate
The light of darkness
God's failed abortion.

Glass shattering,
Babies crying,
Earth breaking,

   He laughs.

Smoke polluting,
People dying,
Unhappiness increasing,

    He cheers,

Disguised as a vegetable,
A thick carrot,
Promoting good eyesight,

    But he blinds us all.

The rat stumbles into cities,
Dashing into homes,
Spreading the plague,

    He bites.

Infecting,
******,
Killing,

   He wins.

We unite,
We rise,
We fight.

    He falls.

Chopped to pieces,
Diced, seasoned, and cooked,
Roasted salad.

Yummy.
F*** DONALD TRUMP. #DEMOCRATS RISE
The Trumpoet Nov 2017
Oh Donald Trump may be an angry, narcissistic fool;
A racist, a misogynist and all-round half-baked tool.
Upon his nation and the world, he represents a curse,
but all of that's okay, you see, for Hillary was worse!

Oh Hillary, she had mad cow and syphilis and rabies.
She drank the blood of virgins and she lived to dine on babies,
and from her eyes shot laser beams while on a broom she flew.
In every way she's crooked, for The Donald says it's true!

She once was witnessed soaking in a lava-filled hot tub,
where she was playing footsie with her pal, Beelzebub!
To the Gulf and Caribbean she released the hurricane.
She brings the earthquake, fire, plague, and drought and flooding rain!

Although she now is history, with influence no more,
we must all hate her while The Donald's failings we ignore.
So while Trump spews his hate and puts all progress in reverse,
we must embrace his evil ways... For Hillary was worse!

HILLARY CLINTON SEEMS TO
BE ON THE COME BACK CAMPAIGN
FUNDING THE PARTIES THAT ARE
AGAINST TRUMP AND REMAIN

HILLARY STILL NEEDS TO
MAKE HER POLITICAL VOICE COUNT
AS TRUMP MOVES FORWARD
AND THE PROBLEMS START TO MOUNT

HILLARY WAS NOT SENT TO JAIL
OVER HER EMAIL SCANDAL
CAN PRESIDENT TRUMP STILL SURVIVE
IF HILLARY'S VOICE IS HARD TO HANDLE
HILLARY CLINTON AND THE CLINTON FOUNDATION ARE NOW FUNDING POLITICAL PARTIES THAT ARE A VOICE AGAINST PRESIDENT TRUMP.
MARK RIORDAN May 2017
HILLARY HAS SPOKEN OUT ON
THE ELECTION SHE HAD LOST
NOW SHE LOOKS BACK WITH
TIME TO COUNT THE COST

HILLARY MAY OF WON AND BE
MADAM PRESIDENT TODAY
BUT WITH ALL THE INTERFERENCE
SHE IS NOW ON HER WAY

NOW DONALD TRUMP IS PRESIDENT
AND WE WILL NEVER KNOW
FOR IF HILLARY WAS PRESIDENT SHE
WOULD GIVE IT A DAM GOOD GO
HILLARY CLINTON HAS SPOKEN OUT ON HER LOST OPPORTUNITY TO BE MADAM PRESIDENT.
The Trumpoet Feb 2017
Lock her up! Lock her up! Lock her up!
Your campaign crowds so chanted.
You took it in and smugly smiled
while they all railed and ranted.

But lock her up for what? I thought.
She's been investigated.
For alleged conflict of interest,
she has been exculpated.

So if such accusations,
when even proved untrue,
provide sufficient grounds for jail.
They'll have to lock up... You!

Your trumpists whoop and shout "hooray"
You talked a lot but talk is cheap
It's your inauguration day
and now you've promises to keep

You must ***** that border wall
or did you change that to a fence?
So wide, so deep and very tall
or were your promises nonsense?

And as for Clinton - Lock her up?
Or did you change your mind?
"Conflicting interests" you once said.
Such crimes in you they'd never find!

Will you deport each and every
undocumented immigrant?
When did you start backpedalling
from that initial angry rant?

And then there are the Muslim folk,
such a convenient bogeyman.
Will they all have to register
while you drop bombs on their homeland?

You said outsourcing steals jobs.
Let tariffs ease that trouble.
But how'll you soothe the working poor
when Walmart's prices double?

But know this, Donald, you have friends
to help with troubleshootin'.
Will you get cosy in that bed
with your dear comrade Putin?

The swamp you promised you would drain,
did it improve or worsen?
How will your bootlick billionaires
assist the average person?

And may we see at long, long last,
your tax returns today?
The ones you promised to release
but changed your mind along the way.

How will you handle, Mr. Trump,
these questions you must face?
The pressure's on you starting now
Lets hope you don't fall in disgrace.

So many promises you made
up to Inauguration day
But please don't keep them - they're so wrong
and such a price we all would pay.

Hillary,

In regards to your previous email, we’ve checked your account and have decided that “alllivesmatter666” is not a sufficient password. Your password requires a letter with caps, and a special character. Furthermore, we regret to inform you that S.O.S is an urgent distress signal, and shouldn’t be used as an acronym for “Secretary of State.” Please refrain from using the words “Secret” and “Classified” in the title box of your emails, this will undoubtedly let foreign spies and officials know the significance of the subject in your messages. If you have any questions, or comments please feel free to contact us at [email protected]

Best regards,

In the wake of his convention
And the primary season, too,
Would it be at all surprising
That I feel profoundly blue?

How can one devoid of nuance,
For whom life’s a win-lose play,
Be considered for the real world,
Where one deals with matters gray?

Aren’t you alarmed public service
Was naught to this seventy-year-old,
Till he sought the highest office
To boost his brand of tarnished gold?

Under a symbol endangered,
Facing crisis elephantine,
Isn’t it ironic, his ticket of
Deniers blithely mocks the green?

Can a worshipper of Mammon,
Who shamelessly on others tread,
Cheating, abusing, extorting,
Win over fans of Vermont red?

Should we really need to conjure
Il Duce or the Corporal
To reject bans, walls – hate so vile –
And tilt the states of purple?

Don’t you notice undercurrents
In the “make again” broken track,
Calling former would-be masters
To clean DC of Kenya black?

So will you stand this year with her,
Imperfect, cautious, yet mostly right,
To ensure a dangerous clown
Is nowhere near the House of White?

An open letter
to those poets
who align
to the center:

When prose sits in the middle
                                         it resembles gift-card drivel.
                                             It cheapens your work;
                                              your use of italics irks.

Choose a side.
I don’t care if it’s
left or                                                                                       right,
                                                                                  Or center-right
                                                                                              or alt-right
(whatever that is).

The indecisive
have a lot to answer for
us being                                                                                                         divisive.

Did that centered
poem you wrote
distract you from
casting a vote?

Stop fence-sitting
                                                            in-between
and enjoy a
splintered 2017,
                                                                                               from one side.
Disclaimer: I have used my dislike for center-aligned poems as a device to be 'political'. I understand this is a stylistic choice and I do not mean any offence to poets who prefer this layout. My opinion on this matter is dwarfed by my political frustrations.

If non-voters feel uncomfortable reading this poem, that is precisely the intention.

And yes, this was a nightmare to format on Hello Poetry. It is less of a mess in a Word doc. Still a mess though.
