Lostling May 10
Your guiding hands are always there
To catch me when I fall.
Soft combs through my tangled hair
Hugs, a protective wall.

Your strength's a roaring lioness,
Your heart burning so bright,
Fighting through the crushing stress.
You burn away the night
Happy Mother's Day!

baby fever...

everyone wants the baby and not the kid;
i knew i matured when i craved all the stages
when i craved being a mother not just to a baby but to a toddler

a child

a pre-teen

a teenager

a young adult

i crave to be a mother for all of my childs life
showing them the motherly love and affection i currently crave
but never get.
i miss my future babies....future family
Makes a house a Home
Woman, Wife Mother, for Life
Greatest of all LOVE

Haiku
A modern haiku, like their traditional counterpart are short, focused on a single, a vocative moment or experience.
They often use strong imagery to create an impression on the reader.
While the 5 – 7– 5 syllable structure is often considered a starting point for traditional haiku modern haiku, poets are often experimenting with different line lengths and syllable counts. According to the haiku foundation and the poetry foundation. Traditional haiku have to do in nature..
While other types deal with human nature. It can be confusing, identifying the different types of haiku without, The poet.
Haiku is a wonderful expression of poetry.
English haiku differs from Japanese haiku as the language gives a different syllable count.
I call this poem a modern haiku in that it is using the theme of human frailty instead of nature,
even given the option of a different line syllable length as a traditionalist fundamental structure should not be altered.

I follow behind you
Bouncing as you go
So full of joy
I can't help but think
What will you become?

Golden hair flows behind
Tossed by the wind
Will it stay gold?
Or fade with age
Darken before my eyes

Less than knee height
A tripping hazard
Bruised knees
***** feet
Will you always be clumsy?

Slurred speech
Words unfamiliar
Say what you think
Repeat what you hear
Will you truly speak?

A high pitched whine
Emotions uncontrolled
Chaos inside
But nothing is wrong
Will you have reasons to cry?

You wear a sparkly dress
Butterfly sandals
Marker stains
Claim to be a princess
Will you always love beauty?

Scribbles on paper
And tables and skin
Painting your arms
Driveways full of chalk
Will the world be your canvas?

I want time to stop
Still it flows on
Glimpses of the future
Even as she runs
Will I be there to see it?

I want a Family
A baby inside of me
But what if we turn out like my family?
God,
what if my husband turns out to be like my Father?
What if my baby leaves,
What will I do?
Every child, a gift from god,
You my dear, a blessing, I am proud.
My precious one, my joy, my pride,
Forever by your side, I'll abide.

My world's shining light,
In your presence, my life is bright.
You are my dream, in the day,
A reality, every night I pray.

You're the pearl in my ocean,
A gem so rare, a treasure divine.
A fruit of my love,
A gift from the gods above.

So here's to you, my dear daughter,
With every breath, I'll hold you near.
In this bond, our love shall endure,
A bond so strong and pure.
