There's an odd sense of peace that lies beneath the surface of a storm, just waiting to be uncovered.

One may be tempted to just look at the chaos and noise and deem it malicious; but if you take a moment to truly uncover it's emotion, the way you look at storms will change forever:

Some may feel high winds, but instead try to feel the rush of energy past your ears, through your hair, and across your skin.

Some may cover from the heavy rain, but instead try running through it, letting it wash over you like cleansing waters.

Some may fear the booming thunder, but instead try to let the vibration course through your veins shaking loose the dust off your passion.

Some may shield their eyes from the blinding lightening, but instead try to trace it's every path across the night sky like a one-of-a-kind, split-second painting that only you have seen.

Some may be working on repairing the aftermath, but instead try to stop and take it all in for a silent moment, as the Earth has just screamed at the top of her lungs and created a masterpiece and you did not hide your face, cover your ears, or shield your head - instead you looked to the sky and breathed it all in; the beauty, the music, the shower of life. You have chosen to see the world as a work of art, even for just a moment - and the Earth smiles because she knows.

A blinding flash of lightening
A distant clap of thunder
The ever blowing gale wind
Stillness torn asunder.
The earth shivers
By the roar of rumbling thunder
Pellets of pattering rain;
Frondeur
A romantic heart will wonder,
Who brought about this grandeur?
Into utter chaos
the world will stumble
Awed by power
Human ego will crumble

Lightning sets fire,
Thunderclaps rattle dark clouds;
Rainstorm declares war!

I wish the pouring rain
Would cleanse all of the hate,
Sadness, and insecurity
That lies within my soul.
I want the thunder
To scare my motivation,
My dreams, and mind
To do better.
If only the lightening,
Could spark my emotions,
My will to go on,
Back to life.
Title is really "Untitled," but I wrote this at 22:42 on 10.10.18, so that's what I'll roll with for now.

Oh my light!
YOU ARE WORTHY TO LIGHTEN UP THE SKY
BE YOURSELF AND BELIEVE
SEE, YOU ARE LIGHT
DARKNESS IS CURSE, BLESSING YOU ARE
KNOW YOUR WORTH AND SHINE
TWINKLE IN YOUR SKY AND SEE!
HOW BEAUTIFUL IT’S TO BE A LIGHT!

OH LIGHT, WHICH GLOWS EVERYTIME
NEVER FADES, SHINING, TWINKLING
BE MY SUNSHINE, SEE MY DARKNESS
TURN THEM INTO LIGHT AS YOU ARE LIGHT.
YOU KNOW YOUR WORTH RIGHT?
BETTER THAN THE CURSE, WHICH IS DARKNESS

NEVER FADEOUT, INCREASE YOUR GLOW
BE YOURSELF AND SHINE IN YOUR OWN SKY
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND PRECIOUS
YOU ARE LIGHT!
BETTER THAN THOUSANDS
Value the light in your life!

And like my favorite song
You've been on my mind since I heard you.
Escalating into the next time I hear you.
Out of the blue into my life.
The rumble of thunder.
A silent lightening.
The way you strike.
That word like food with fondest memory.
Too soon.
Defenseless to sudden strike.
Everything around shook in heavy appetite.
The way you've come in my life.
Flashing.
Revisiting everywhere you've been.
Until I see you again.
Flashing into my life
Sharp and silent.
In unending storm

the clouds gather
they darken
thunder rumbles
lightening strikes
the sky is angry today
throwing a beautiful tantrum
for the whole town to behold
sitting on the loggia
watching the rain come closer
with thunder and lightening
counting the seconds
between the flash and the rumbling
enjoying the spectacle
     of brilliant spidery fingers
     illuminating the evening sky
each a different shape
     followed by its own soundblast
the noise of the rain
     growing louder and harsher
     with heaviness
bending the branches of trees
roses and lilies to the ground

simply fascinating

Lightning.
Brutally shocking, burning, destroying.
A sudden flash, out of nowhere with striking speed and power.

Then thunder.
A rumble,
low, distant, and spine-tingling; a hovering fear, a looming threat.
Or a crackle--
fierce, sharp, wild, unpredictable.
A jolt.
A deafening, heat-stopping jolt.
Not just near you, but inside you.
Burning in your chest, pulsing through your blood, freezing on your skin, screaming in your mind.

It ends, but it doesn't leave.  It remains, hovering in the air and burned into your soul.  It echoes.  It fades, but it remains.
