I found the reason for all our lies,
to cover up our ****** up minds,
to cover up all the crimes,
committed by mankind over time.

We ****, corrupt, and capitalize,
on all the forsaken, innocent cries,
and then we try to rationalize,
our reason for profiting from their demise.

The blood is on the hands of the mindless,
sitting back, thinking these issues are timeless,
do you really think the people are buying this?
Do you really think you can keep us blinded?

No more closed doors, no more closed minds,
we need someone willing to walk the line,
someone willing to argue both sides,
someone willing to lead us, not hide.

No more government fundraiser *****,
no more vacations, answer the call,
this nation needs someone to stand strong and tall,
this nation needs us,
the people
one nation,
under God,
indivisible,
with liberty,
and justice,
for all.

he was a man
no taller than an ox.
he was a galactic, well-tongued to express
love

         & liberty.
         by blood naked hopes.
he sat shackled back and dreaming,
         chanting for smooth justice.

                   i have come, today!
                   we have come, all days!

brothers and sisters and people before the storm
                          this you must realize…

                                   your freedom
                                   is inextricably bound
                                   to our freedom.
                                   we cannot

                                               walk alone.

Mothers cried for their children to see
The threat of this nation and it's captivity
Liberty, life, and the pursuit of happiness
Was never the truth, you see

Not with a blade
Nor with blood on my hands
But with wisdom
And compassion
May I be tyranny’s end

With poetry and prose
With the ink and the rose
With an inkling to know
Just and unjust
Right from wrong
May I be tyranny’s end

With love
Not a bullet
No bombs to blow through it
No glass shattered or metal disfigured
This is what I figured
May a revolution of words
Be tyranny’s end

I pledge allegiance to the flag a symbol which we sought
For which it stand the high ideals that we all forgot
One nation superior to all who stand opposed
Because they do not see, feel, or know what we know
under god just in case you were calm we have to remind you
That there is a great and powerful being that controls, oppresses, and binds you
Indivisible with justice and liberty for all who can afford it
But if you are not just like us you might as well ignore it
So here is your allegiance without the mystery
The subtle undertones that you might be able to see
Welcome to a symbol which we can unite behind
And ignore that acts of barbarity that would normally trouble our mind

It’s ******* Veterans Day
He said as my teeth turned into shrapnel on the street
He had the right to remain violent
I had the right to remain silent

Men have died for your right to speak
How dare you question the military?
Dissent squashed with brute force
Drone strikes on a straight course

Bang Bang! Like the pixels on a Playstation
His hands return ****** to the deployment station
PTSD on the brain
IUD as cremation

It’s ******* Veterans Day
Pay your respects
I’ll collect your debts
And turn them into fighter jets

You say you support the troops
Or do you really support Fox News
Or MSNBC
What ever you choose
It’s information that you lose

There’s no glory in ******
No matter what flag you use
Who’s this foreign invader your protecting us from?
The way I see it, is you’re the invader, son

Let’s hold a concert
Where the **** is Bruce Springsteen?
Let’s have a parade
Do people on the streets remind you of anything?

Oh yeah, that thing called protest.
How we talk about the things we detest.
Unless it’s about the troops.
Tie yellow ribbons instead.
Aren’t you glad Osama’s dead?

I wished you could've met my beloved
Mary-jo-anna while she still lived among us
Imparting on us her wisdom and wondrous ways

Her eyes could see through any secretive soul
Her fragrance would soothe any pensive nerve
She'd make every meal a gastronomical delight
Her embrace would cradle me to a blissful sleep
Her mind could cure the most torturous disease
She'd make every tune a sensuous delight.

Life was wonderful for us indeed
When Mary-jo-anna was still among us
Imparting on us her wisdom and wondrous ways

But she fell foul foul eventually, of our Big Brother
For she showed the people his hypocritical ways
Exasperated! he conspired with the village elders
To drive her away, with lies about her “devious ways”

She's now an exile among the sages, hidden away
Imparting on them her wisdom and wondrous ways
While our village degrades to hatred and hypocrisy
Under the thumb of Big Brother's oppressive ways

The people are awakening to what they have done
And long to have Mary-jo-anna among us again
Free among her people and free from ridicule
To impart on us her wisdom and wondrous ways
Poem dedicated to Pradip Chattopadhyay for his many kind words.

To be seen more than naked
To be vulnerable
To be exposed
It is what I fear the most

Should I hide?
Should I close my doors?
Should I "guard"?
It is what I fear the most

I want to laugh
I want to be known
I want to cry
It is what I dream the most

I can be still
I can rest
I can be me
It is what He wants the most

To allure
To give life
To be needed
It is what I am the most

What else is there?
As we stand and watch water boil away leaving bloated rice,
and we look at cracks in the floor that have trapped the dust and grime of life.
The clock ticks... ticks... ticks... Snapped Back. Where is the tock?
Blood pools in the kitchen bin, cools amongst the packets and discarded food,
congealed petals torn from the dying rose,
saved and disposed.
Settled in purgatory for the things that time strips...
squeezing through a narrowing tunnel
shed, reject and flee for the end
or lie and fail, bloated.
Don't take it from me...
the greatest liberty
is choosing when to throw
your own life away.
