Brenna Dec 2018
what do I see in her?
I see fire,
a passion so deep-rooted and
so strong that it burns anyone who dares
to contradict her
in her I see a blaze of vivid emotions,
intense thoughts,
brilliant words,
and an intelligence so grand that I’m in
utter awe
every touch of hers is heat;
every glance from her gives me a flush
in her I see fire,
for she burns bright as the sun

The stars don’t define my life,
But the specs of mould on the ceiling,
I study them carefully at night,
Reading them in true light,
A sickly soul they’re revealing.

A wondering eye sees all,
And repulsion overwhelms it so
Much that one gives out a hopeless sigh.
The ceiling is too high,
To wipe Aries and Leo.

I write the unspeakable
I see letters capitalizing
the things I cannot say

To look at you and whisper
“I love you”
rises fear from
deep within my soul.

So like the rest of my fears
I wrote them down

Only this time,
I laid it in your hands.

I guess its the way
you wrap yourself around me
and the way I fit in the spaces
between your breaths
as lavender smoke fills the room
and my mind fills with words unspeakable
and our bodies find each other
in the dimmed light
under the spell of the moon.

Dearest Lover,

I write because I am scared
to speak.
Taboo to the world, I have
within myself become closed.
I wish so badly to tell you to run,
run from who I am —
even though you claim to know.

If you do, why are you here?

I see the moon in upside-down phases,
the sun does not shine through my
***** windows.
I wear the universe on me
and keep it within me.

People have thrown me to the
skies, thinking I would not shine.

Looking back, they see my gleaming
light shooting at them faster than
their mind can comprehend.
It is only then they wish to pull me
close — pull me from the sky they
tossed me too.

Dearest lover,
join me
I can be your Regulus.
are we ever not afraid of ourselves?

baby goat
tiptoes on a teeter totter
finding balance is a heavy burden
keeping her on her own

little lion
sleeps soundly at a Sunday sermon
waking early is quite a chore
so he dreams his life away

she bounds past as his service lets out
light as a feather and free of doubt

he awakens to find her sleeping
and wonders what she could be dreaming about
Cancer:
You bathe at night; soak
in the indigo twilight.
Exhausted from the
overload of emotion,
the lunar light cleansed your soul.

Leo:
Charming and cunning,
like the lion, you stalk your
prey. Find the weakness
and exploit it; start the fire,
and then claim your innocence.

Scorpio:
You are the end and
beginning of the cycle.
Reincarnation;
Take the heat, and rise from the
ashes in your final form.

Aquarius:
Water bearer, you
bring life to this alien
landscape. Barren and
undiscovered, this is your
chance to change the world. Long live
your work of innovation.

Virgo:
Tree branch rib cage and
ivy veins that nurture your
winter-bitten soul.
Precious sunlight has returned;
your garden will bloom again.

Aries:
The war going on
inside your brain is growing
tiresome. Your strength
is that of the ram, but you
can't always be the hero.

Pisces:
Submersion. Scared and
eye-level with the Angler.
Take pleasure in the
aesthetic. Perhaps a change
of perspective was needed.

Sagittarius (Father Jupiter Would Be So Proud):
Goddess of the hunt,
your need for adventure and
fearless heart combines
and incarnates the wander-
lust warrior that you are.

Capricorn:
Eyes like a doe; she
is wise, nurturing, and vast.
Motherly strength is
the coat worn over bared bones
and bruised knees. She's her own crutch.

Libra:
Neither side of your
scale may touch the ground.
Chaos may welcome
you with open arms, but she
will grow cold and deranged, love.

Taurus:
Though you are stubborn,
your heart is made of feather,
you fierce, burly ox.
Romantic and devoted,
the darkness in you is gold.

Gemini (The Twin Flame):
How exciting and
infuriating it must
be to look in the
mirror to face your best friend
and your greatest enemy.
What's your sign? Can you relate to any of these?
Seema Oct 2017
The stars shone bright
I searched for Leo
It didn't rain last night
So easily located my cleo

The sparkles up so high
I am down here watching
My throats running dry
Some drinks I am fetching

Smiling with a roaring pride
I kept my eyes upon the sign
A shooting star took a ride
Seemed right in my glass of wine

The beautiful beast rests in the sky
I am getting up to say goodnight
Before I become a twinkle in its eye
I need to switch off this light

But my life isn't near to expire
As I have plans to settle
No time to give up and retire
Until I combat each of my battle...
