before you find the treasure long cursed.

Where x marked a spot,
the report said a decusstation occurred,
struck a nerve and lit a will to find an answer,

to a quest, with its ions gone.

In Piracy, as in any trade,
during the long, long winters of this era's
Sixteenth Century, -- base seamanship is primary,
being as we have but this one little boat to venture in,

bubble, if you insist, a bit of life's own breath, magi know,
in fact we can dive to the bottom of the sea, from the top,
and fight our fear of crushing death, until each who does, does.

And we others can imagine,
going down, no weight, self propelling porpois- ing assist fin,
plunging past the deepest ever,
once,
knowing only I am not the first to pass out before I know
what happens, so I imagined this,
free falling below our bouancy, deep
notice, no pressure,
notice, breathing, as though, we lived in a water balloon,
and we laughed bubbles,
and mom felt nauseous.

Billions and billions of bubbles. A we bit o' cosmic foam.
Fine day for treasure seek-find function tests.

In this precious life we're given,
Where dreams and hopes are driven,
Let our spirits soar and dwell,
For what's worth doing, let's do it well.

A gentle whisper stirs within,
A reminder of the life we've been given,
A chance to paint our dreams on time's canvas,
To embrace each moment with fervor and compass.

Let not the hours slip through idle hands,
Instead, let passion guide us through life's sands,
For in this fleeting journey we embark,
Every step taken leaves an everlasting mark.

In this precious life we're given,
Where dreams and hopes are driven,
Let our spirits soar and dwell,
For what's worth doing, let's do it well.

With every sunrise, a new dawn unfolds,
A symphony of possibilities, untold,
Be it the whispers of art or the dance of words,
Or the melodies that fill the hearts of the birds.

Embrace the passions that set your soul ablaze,
Let courage guide you through uncharted ways,
For the world awaits your unique melody,
Unveil the brilliance that lies within, set it free.

In this precious life we're given,
Where dreams and hopes are driven,
Let our spirits soar and dwell,
For what's worth doing, let's do it well.

Chase the dreams that paint your sky,
Let determination be your battle cry,
For life's challenges may try to pull us astray,
But resilience and faith will light our way.

Embrace the joy in every twist and turn,
In lessons learned and bridges burned,
For even in failure, growth finds its place,
A chance to rise, to conquer with grace.

In this precious life we're given,
Where dreams and hopes are driven,
Let our spirits soar and dwell,
For what's worth doing, let's do it well.

So let us seize each moment without regret,
With love as our guide, let's never forget,
That life's true essence lies in the pursuit,
Of passions pursued with courage and truth.

In this precious life we're given,
Where dreams and hopes are driven,
Let our spirits soar and dwell,
For what's worth doing, let's do it well.

As the symphony of life reaches its final note,
Let our legacy be one that forever floats,
A testament to a life fully lived and shared,
Where dreams were pursued, and souls truly cared.

So let us embrace this journey with all our might,
Illuminate the world with our love and light,
For in this precious life we're given to dwell,
What's worth doing, let's do it well.

Hi.
Thinking about you between meetings,
Between meals, between showers,
Between random scrolling on the internet,
Makes me giddy and profoundly safe.

Lately may have been hectic,
Crowded of thoughts and uncertainties.
Thinking about you solely,
Does not ease any of it truthfully
But choosing you among those things, does.

Remembering why we even started
How you make me feel enough and heard
How I can still picture vividly the first time you kissed me and how it smells
In hopes that the feelings and memories
won’t be slowly slipping away.

Those full infinitives
In the future are not what I am after all
From then on ‘til now
That’s what really matters.
After n years of not writing.. posted something again.

Thank you, J.

the lights they glowed a ruby red
the stars inside your irises inside
my head. i saw you on the stage
and wept. the comets above our
heads, i saw mars, but i have to
forget. and i apologize for my
lack of communication, it was
just that your eyes were like an
emerald and i forgot the words
to say. i bet losing memories will
bond us, for now i sit alone on my
couch. i loved you once, i love you
forever. i will never let you go. the
lights a melancholy indigo. i saw
your hair and then your face and i
just couldn’t stop. you sat there
playing on the piano. so i just sat
eerily still and sobbed. for now, a
woman without a cause, her sunken
eyes, her remembrance of a someone.
but i had forgotten the words to your
favorite song, though still i managed
to sing along. without a word, i left
the table, you saw me leave, i’m sorry
i had to go. i know you’ll understand
just had to let you know. you just sat
there playing the piano. and the
lights turned black and then it all was
gone.
wrote this after watching la la land. it was an emotional rollercoaster, but it’s such a good movie. the ending was so tragic, but it inspired this poem.

Swathed in my caution
I search to find my daring
Fire cracks my egg

I've been long since lost

I hear the wind call

Fall before I fly

Guess who's back! ^-^ on my 995th poem too, ***!
I hope everyone's alright in their part of the world. It's long overdue that I reconnect with my past love. Daily life is droll but I'm slowly finding my colours again. I still don't feel worthy of my pen at times but this is a blessing. Hard to believe that we will be in February tomorrow. May 2023 be a fantastic year for you all! I'll definitely be posting more this year. To reconnect to my inner child and creativity. It's long overdue that I try to spread my wings instead of dealing with the constant fall.
Much love to you beautiful souls out there
P.S - Melissa, this one's for you! ❤️
Take care all!

Just like this beautiful weather,
everything brings changes
The signs, I no longer ignore
a woman like you is worth waiting for.
I embrace the beauty in moments as these.
She is my twin flame, her light, it's powerful.
It's heavenly, it shields me, my soul from freezing
and bounding itself to ugliness. Her warmth is all I need
Ricky & Descovia collaboration

It combines
Ricky M. Martinez's Quote:
Just like this beautiful weather,
a woman like you is worth waiting for.

&
Descovia's: Everythng brings changes. The signs, I no longer ignore
I embrace the beauty in moments as these.
She is my twin flame, her light it's powerful.
It's heavenly, it shields me my soul from freezing and bounding itself to ugliness.

Well, did you know that your eyes are mighty beacons?
Great flickering flames of an artist's soul?
Did you know that when I saw you first I felt you, wildly?
Felt a gentle steward of poems among us, a river voice renews.

One utterance from you has me above my tiny tempests,
I've been pleading, even prayed (though out of practice) for more words,
But your words, only your voice! Which has me falling into tension,
And godsent, glorious tension ensues from your stark frequencies.

Rejoice, I do now rejoice and it feels like for the first time,
Surely not? And you can't know but I just cried for our distant meeting,
It is as though a veil is lifted, a dam destroyed, a collapsed ceiling?
But now a fear, such a quiet terror that I may not hear you again.

i don’t crave your big green eyes
but you’re using them to watch over somebody else.
i know this relationship is over
but i wish i could’ve ended it with somebody else.
and i don’t like that you’re sharing drinks with another woman
who sells her body to get money
wouldn’t you have liked to be with somebody else?
she has your favorite songs on cds and i never did
i wish you could’ve ended up loving somebody else.
somebody who’s rude to waiters, somebody who is only good for a first date or
at least somebody else.
now i have to hide my cold hands under my winter coat
cause you’re too busy holding somebody else’s.
your dog still loves me more
but he has to spend some time with somebody else.
just like you went and forgot me
cause it was more beneficial to see yourself with somebody else.
now you’re happy go lucky
since you’ve replaced me with somebody else.
lonely eating ice cream
while you’re shoving it down in the house of somebody else.
perhaps, i don’t miss your company
i’ve just been enjoying it more with somebody else.
or maybe this is hopeless
and i should let you make love to somebody else.

i don’t want your body
but i hate to think about you with somebody else.

the entire house looks like a red traffic light
with pounding rock music blasting all around
it smells like smoke and passion
there are two people in each bathroom
i think there’s faint screaming somewhere
i don’t know, people are too high to care
sweat clings to the air
it’s sticky in this cramped house-
confetti is raining down upon us
i think she just kissed her boyfriend’s best friend
can’t wait to see his reaction in the morning
i got inspired to write this because of james cordon’s show. harry got a segment where he got to make a music video for daylight. it was honestly beautiful and i dream of going to a party with led lights. it would be so much fun. anyway, listen to daylight while you read. you know the drill
