You are
              so nice
To listen to me without judgment.
To   accept   the   words   I   feed   you   when   you   ask.
You want my stories.
You ask for the bright ones, but there are none
                    Left.
So I give you
                dark ones instead.
And those you swallow down
      with your
drinks in the fitting darkness of night.
You let them dissolve away, amortised with the alcohol in your blood,
Forgotten in the morning,
And I wonder
                                        what it’s like
To love someone who
                 Doesn’t
                    Truly
                        Know
                           You.

The insect’s trills
Louder than ever
But
Somehow
Ignored
What would happen,
If we noticed
All those things that tend to pass us by
...
Madness perhaps?

It's okay
I'm used to being ignored
to not having any friends
only people who act like they care

It's okay
I know every excuse
someone came up with
to not spend any time with me

It's okay
I know I'm only good
when you're alone and need someone to talk
when you're feeling left out

It's okay
I'm used to being ignored
I'm used to being alone
I'm used to spending every day in my room
feeling anxious
and wondering what I did wrong.
time to search for some new friends I would suggest, the easiest thing with social anxiety.

So, we're playing a game of "Let's ignore each other" for a while...
Ok, I get that.
I know you think that I started it.
But sorry that was not because I was ignoring you or because of my ego.
Actually, I'm always afraid of facing you.
I have always thought that you might not say even a "HI". I've always thought myself relatively inferior than you.
I might not be upto your standards that's what goes in my thoughts whenever I pass by you or see you in public.

And now all those cold looks you're giving me is bothering me a little.
You know what, I'm not good at this game.
I, somehow, take a glimpse of your face while passing by, hoping you would also do the same.
But No!.
Your eyeballs don't even move a bit. Like I don't even exist.
I've always wished to be invisible.I guess I'm now but, only to specific people.
You're really good at this game.
I hope you keep playing this way. You will definitely win.
Not a rhyme....When you're really hurt you don't think about making a rhyme, you just pour your thoughts out

For a very young child, moving house can be incredibly bewildering, disruptive, even traumatizing, especially when moving countries tends to mean belongings need to be severely curtailed.  Few remember their own childhood attachments, closely held treasures, even if perceived by harried adults as inconsequential as a bag of broken seashells.  Would a little more listening and empathic explanation with kindness ease things well at such transition times

Hello everyone,

I'm so very sorry … I feel horrible doing this, but I have no choice. You see, I have published my first book on Amazon/Kindle! This piece (and many others) had to be taken down because they do not allow published material to be available online for free. (Go figure) I wanted to leave the shell of the posts because I felt compelled to leave all your helpful and loving comments. (Silly sentimental, I know), but I also didn't want to just have the pieces disappear without an explanation. I feel bad enough as it is!

I owe ALL of you so, SO much for all of your reads, love, and support. It was YOU that gave me the gumption to FINALLY get off my **** and publish! Thank you all for the warm comments, camaraderie, and encouragement! I will still be here, reading, uploading and just being the Rascal that I am. How could I EVER leave you guys?

The book is called “The Way I See It – FictionPhilosophySoul Food” and it will be FREE for the first few days on Kindle Select, so watch for it, if you are interested. I hope that you go and grab it. If you do, I would also hope that you find it worthy, you would leave me a good review. That will help me get in the public eye! Soon afterward (2-3 days or so), it will be available in paperback. I will be building my Author page tonight (12/21/2018) and my website finished first thing Monday!

By Christmas, I also hope to have my first novel (a supernatural thriller), called “Wanderer” available as well!

  Wish me luck!
Big, Biggest Love,
        Jeff Gaines
My thoughts on the pain of being shut out or ignored.
Talk to me,
I haven't heard your voice enough
For it to taunt me.

Talk to me,
Your silence is the only song
That comes to haunt me.
People have always admired
the moon which holds untold chronicles
and the stars as twinkling little orbs
but not the night sky that cradles
the mesmerizing sight to behold.
It makes me sad when people only notice those that holds beauty...
