can I replace the new with old and call it new, or is that false representation?

will you sue me if I throw in a few past words and sell them to you as newer and better, more reliable, even though they might not be?

what about if I offer to steal a few glances to keep your thoughts scrambling for more?

can I seal a few letters with my Amsterdam red lipstick, to prove that there isn't a word I wrote to you that didn't come straight from my mouth, even though a few, ok all of them probably didn't?

after all, it is real, right?

.
His perpetual stare on her glistening eyes
seemed to pass through her wayward thoughts,
unraveling her fancy ways to nurture him
in the most composed and exquisite manner.
The periphery of his lips was exactly
where she longed to be,
entwined in his limbs and their palpable pulse
slowly lifting her into an inebriated trance
from which she never wanted to elude.

Don't be too obvious
Even your whisper could be heard
Don't be too obvious
Your glances could be caught
Don't be too obvious
You failed
And now he's looking into your eyes
And melting you inside

If you are…
a fairly incandescent will-o-the-wisp
fold your wings and float awhile
in the stream
after all,
light is beautiful when reflected off water
If you get caught…
stealing secret glances
tell them it’s only because
you want to see the world
through their shining eyes
maybe the way they are now
maybe the way they perceived
when everything was terrifying and new
in magical ways that even they’ve forgotten

Creaming leaves, dripping
off her spiderweb branches
as we eat dinner under the mustard sun,
I feel her nervous as I eat slowly, she glances
at my spiderweb branches and grabs my web.
She spins her prey in my web and moves it slowly
down, among her roots, where I feel gnarled and leafless.
My autumn colors have vanished in her winter
frozen stems, frozen in time, I stare into her
mustard reflected eyes.

A little less conversation
is a little less of me
stolen piece by piece
by each word

but it's more of you
in the silence
and exchange of
pregnant glances

it's me walking towards
you and you
standing still
waiting for me

and me waiting for you

Sneaked glances
Shy smiles
Looking at you when
I think you’re not looking at me
Sitting close but not talking
Afraid to break the
Wall of silence
Eyes scanning the crowd
When they reach yours
Drop down to the ground
A small smile on the lips
The heart thudding away
Looking up
Into your eyes
The mind goes blank
Words dry up
Unable to look away
Conscious of a blush creeping up
You smile
It reaches your eyes
Look away into the emptiness
And wonder if this is
How it feels…….

Coming from a boy whom
I've never seen a face from
you can't expect me to see you,
I would not recognize you in a crowd..

nor would I look for
you in a store..

but when I saw those
eyes I realized who you were .
