Behind the sky the Weaver knits
All beautiful and ugly things
Together as with perfect wit
She severs and she stings.
Each and every little soul
Safe to her downy back she brings
While their forgotten lullabies
She strums on silver strings.

I’ve written my prayer
upon the wings of this tiny tern
And she shall fly up there in heaven
Carrying my fervent, perpetual dream
To heal the bruise I daily wear
for the painful loss
our fate ordained
if i can get past
this torrent my twenties
has devolved into
i know
life will be beautiful

if fate permits me luck
time will yield
happiness, amid the muck
it's a gamble,
let's roll the dice

~

we are but
two lovers lost
between worlds;
worlds in which
we have always
lost one another.
time and time again;
we meet
we fall
and again
we lose it all.
how else could your face
reminder me of a home
that has never been,
but yet, was always so close.
how else could i know you
before you spoke a single world.
how else could i lose you
and remember this same
empty feeling.
my love
our moments together
are not measured by time;
our bond
our longing
our contention
transcends understanding
defies reality,
two souls lost
in the same place
at the same time;
forever searching
for each other.
a tragic love
divine fate;
our beautiful paradox.

Deja vu dreams glimpse what’s to come
Veiling reality from perception
Obscuring past and future selves
What’s once hidden, again found in another
Worthiness forfeit to the gravity of expectation

Fail, or follow

Trust is built on words of wisdom
Drink it in or drown it out
Connect to the sonorous vibrations
Or feign ignorance while praying for more
The evidence is prevalent to those whose hearts are open

Belittle, or believe

Fan the flame that ruins or refines you
The choice is yours to build or burn it to the ground
To find meaning in the minutiae
A manifestation of subconscious cues
Confirmation that the path before you is the one you’re meant to be on

Falter, or forward
This is a musing I wrote for Grieve the Astronaut’s “Signs” album, and this one in particular is about the titular song. I was asked to pen my response to each song and their lyrics and express what it meant to me in my own words. This one deals with thoughts of fate or divine paths, belief in ones purpose and meaning, and the choice to accept or dismiss the signs.
All I can ever ask when you leave me

Was I enough?

Would I ever be enough?

People are always fascinated by me

Attracted to me.

Proclaiming that they will love me for all eternity.

And I can only sadly laugh at such mockery that fate keeps bestowing upon me.

Face it, for all of you who try to love me.

You cannot handle me.

In the end you will always leave me behind.

While I am stuck with the burden of trying to forget.

Your love is not enough.

And you only view me as your saving grace from this ****** world you only suffer in.

But I cannot save you.

To hell with your hero complex.

You most certainly can't save me either.

Love is not enough.

And I am not worth the trouble

-Kore
I'm not your savior.
