As I looked upon the
Whispers of the forming
Clouds.
So, shaped like a family of ducks
in their times.
Revealed to me the caspered calm and
Distinct instinct and ‘gifts’ to
Float, without prior education.
Towards the sky forests in
Ease and love.

A poem about nature
Fey Underwood May 2016
It takes one to know one swift fell swoop
like a bat out of hell and certainly the belfry.
If you've something to prove to the birds and the bees,
I won't bat an eye at your rhinoplasty.

I'll take two hoots, 'cause I sure won't give them.
Find somebody else to get up and go;
I cry like I fly like a carrion crow
and I've two left feet and no time to tango.

It takes three strikes 'til it's not just company
any more — it's a crowd and my agoraphobia
is making this worse, so I might disperse.

If you don't quite care, let's put two and two together;
playing pretend we're birds of a feather.
I could commend, but that's such a no-no;
you're more like a doornail to me, less like a dodo.

And if you don't much mind, I might just take five.
I'm chicken-livered, but at least alive
though I feel like a dead duck, dusted and done.
I won't be there, I'll stay fair and square,
right back at square one.

Now can you see how this is cyclic?
Makes me feel one sandwich short of a picnic,
up the wall, and driving me sick.
Apologies, I don't mean to nitpick,
and I know I've a number of bees in my bonnet,
but I've zero interest in your haiku and sonnets.

So here's one for the road,
turn by the way the devil drives you home,
and one good turn deserves
another.

Two ducks float seamlessly, side by side
leaving nothing but a few ripples in the mind.
Which twists and turns, much like a helpless Fern
floating down, from the tree which never learnt.

When will the ripples be gone, what will there be?
Only stillness, maybe tranquility?
Will that too play in the mind
Of Circe's dream, caught like a riptide.

When will we float side by side?
like two heroes buried at sea.
If it's you and me; I'll be
proud. "As proud and punch"
If punch could float, like a cloud.

I'll rate you bubbly, you rate me bogus
and we'll be happily fraudulent in our demise.
just ramblin, idk.

They may say that I’m a quack,
Or that I do not have a clue,
But if you will consider that
I detest how conformed minds lack,
Then observe while I quack-a-doodle-do.

Tears escape like wild animals, that I try to keep contained
within the watery prisons built in my eyes
Rubber ducks and flames.

Wake me up I'm falling
Stuttering and stalling
With nowhere to run, and no place to hide
A beast deep inside,
Is rising

Rise, like a tidal wave
Rise, to every lie they gave
Rise, for it is your time,
To slay all these haters with power of rhyme

Freedom of expression helps fight depression...

Moment of silence
On an empty stomach
Then comes a rumble
At the smell of apple pie crumble

Moon is out of this world
Annie is our favourite girl
I hope no-one else sees this
And starts singing about my *****

****** mind in a slaughter house
Anti-Ducks about this life
But with a Kiwi accent if I may
Tis "Anti-Ducks about this life"

We went outside,
Still high
Decided to munch and play games
Forgot our phones outside

Smash the boundaries,
Tear down the walls
Won't stop tearing
Til' we seen Ben's *****

Break down barriers,
Smack 'em down
Walking past ducker-*******
Delirious like a clown

Smiling all the way
With a crazy little laugh
On this spectacular journey
Into the past

It's time to get to the end of this family rhyme
We all pitched in with whatever we could find
It's beautiful and grand, a real sight to see
This Mafia family of mine

It's our time our life
Crazy running red lights
Grand stand, stage band time to curtain call
But it never ends, we fam!

(Tight!)

*Annie's the funniest girl
Her hair blazes like sunset
But she keeps talking about my *****
I mean seriously...
She done yet???
Poetic mafia family collab. Thanks all! This is the funny stuff we come up with. JOIN US, DUCK HATERS!!!

Confusing it is
that taste between
passion fruit or **** ant

My mind is boggled
which way this is leaning

Your unsavory parts
are being completely outweighed
presently
by a tangy **** yet sweet delivery

It's just I always am bird-*******
but coming up with the wrong duck
not noticing I've brought home
the wooden decoy
until I'm already sopping wet
wearing stink of the marsh

Why am I wired this way?
Got to get out of this yard
but the lessons are hard learned

So I keep climbing the fence
and now it's you on the other side

Waggin' that **** tang!

Lordy, the chase is on.

Let's discuss the important things,

Like how the sun loves the moon so much,
he shines behind her for all eternity.

How the leaves caress the wind,
                                          not the other way around.

Snails leave behind their path so we follow them to their secret hideaways where they plot and scheme with beetles as to what habitat to overtake next.

Mother ducks remind their young that together they are invincible; sometimes we veer away, we find our way back with the help of the One who leads us.

Nature, if observed from a romanticized point of view can demonstrate incredible wonders. Wonders like those found in our impossibly imperfect human world; abandonment, birth, death, happiness, anger, jealousy, possessiveness, and even aggressiveness.

But just like in our world, these are all connected by the same overpowering emotion that has the power to build and tear down nations.

                                                                                            love.

I sat on a rock and stared
At the wisps of cloud
Obscuring the blue of the sky
The grey drew nearer
And I realized it was not merely grey
But aqua, navy, burnt, and yellow
I tried to scream
No words left my mouth

Then they left the sky

Plummeted to the earth

From the shelter I had taken only seconds before

I saw them

Those ducks

Those stupid ducks

Those stupid suicidal ducks

Destroy what remained of my garden

May one thousand starving rednecks boil you alive

As I watch my garden be avenged.
