I deal in death, the reaper stated.
I am the debt collector,
The gatherer of souls.
I am the Grim

I deal in life, the god replied.
I am the light giver,
The soul rescuer.
I am god

In neither death nor life,
I deal, remarked Cupid.
I merely facilitate.
I neither give nor take,
I barter only in Love.
Take it or leave it.
I am Cupid.

It's butterflies in my stomach:
A chaos of wings fluttering.
They seems harmless,
Until they reach the heart
And weaken its flesh,
Making a nest out of it.
They're not butterflies
Anymore.
They're arrows
With poisoned tips,
Thrown by a Cupid
With a demon's wings.

Love is tender, love is kind;
Love is splendid and divine;
Love is raw yet very sweet
Save it’s with a dead beat.

You’re not from fairytales—
No, you set your own sails.
While I work to pay the bills,
That is just how cupid kills.

I’m madly in love, I swear
Caught up in this love affair—
I don’t care if it’s no good for me
Just one will make it work, you’ll see.

You make my heart go crazy,
So who cares if you’re lazy?
We’ll prove the world wrong, I bet;
On that I have my heart set.

Love is hopeless, love is blind;
Love makes victims lose their mind;
Love wins, to one’s defeat
When it’s with a dead beat.

I stood in line
for 23 years
waiting for love
once it was my turn
my palms began to burn.

rolling his eyes, as If I were late
cupid told me I had to wait,
that I would have my chance.
Then he hurried off
doing the ***** dance.

Like love, cupid has sh**ted on me!

You show me unconditional love,
I will show you unbearable pain.
Every body thinking its a game,
In all reality; its such a shame,
Broken hearts; what's the gain?
Love is Love we are all the same.
Thanks to Cupid; wish he had better aim.
Guess I have my self to blame

Our love can not exist.
      Echo's final plight.
           Ero's arrow askew.

Come find me beyond the
clouds.
I'll wait among the whispering
veils,
      among the weeping
willows.
i wait for you at the breaking of
dawn.

We know time as an old friend,
A match maker,
A protector.
I didn't fall, but I want you to help me to my feet.
Tell me that no matter what, what we have made will
Not fail. We are too much for that.

It scares me: how much I care.
I am no where near dependent on you.
If I was I'd have died a long time ago.
The time shared between us made us stronger, and
Made me drift away.

It scares me: how much I love you.
I've started dreaming again of a future. A comfort
Of home that we made ourselves.
You being more of a housewife than I.
Yet, I do my fair share.

Recently, I imagined a swelled belly and a book
Resting on my chest. I teach you how to make home made teas.
And you feed me.

I imagined you kissed my belly and spoke to the life we created.
Maybe it is far fetched, but I have imagined.
And in my mind, we are happy.

I don't know if we are now.
I still constantly worry that the next time I say "I love you"
You will say "I don't."

And yet, Cupid is an old friend.
And he knows time as an old friend.
The feathers on his heart shaped arrows unravel,
But it makes distance bearable.

And yet, I wish for my fair share.
Drawing on something I cannot know,
Her breath alone stirs miles within,
And my joy surges up to overflow,
For man was not meant to keep it in.
And so here gushes forth first blood of cupids arrow,
Splashing rose on my cheeks at her mildest grin.
