Floating brazier spews electric amber waves
as a setting sun radiates on the ceiling
a shadow of a ship coquettishly sways
while in the center charybdis begins swilling

another message, another missed call
another debt collector and his esurient talk
watch the ship begin to swirl, this scene so banal
amber feathered tawny eyed peacock

continues furtively to scroll her story and shoe shop
crowded room with a panel onstage
reality and fantasy evaporate and fall as a single raindrop
drown in the muck, don't know how to disengage

and to stay in the sway of fantasy.
Spent all day in a conference about chemicals. 10 hours. It was quite boring, but the setting was nice.

Basking in the same star hardly makes souls familiar,
It takes time, sometimes even lives,
Yet familiarity becomes a curse 'tis that souls depart
And all depart- some by death, some by hatred, the omni-vice,
So I sit where I'll be free from too much of familiarity
No one to wave, no one to read out loud the epitaph of my eyes,
Unknown crowd is a bliss- the first mother one ever cherishes,
Covered on the lap velvety ******* the milk of possibility
Yet be carefree to the cruelty of a union resulting into solidity.
The star revolves- crowd thickens and familiarity lessens,
Unless, one joins even bigger crowd,
O harbinger of equity! Talk the same tongue, dressed in the same shroud,
All the same space, all the same meat, same journey, all equally proud,
Worms too rule like the ruler who did justice to his throne,
So familiar on this top, I'm one jump away from home.

Too many bodies
Strange arms and hands
Too close, too close
I can’t hear my thoughts
Through that constant noise
I can’t see over the shoulders
I can’t see through the gaps
I’m being pushed
All sides closing in
I’m moving against my will
Swept along in a sea of flesh
When will it stop
When will I get out
I can’t hear
I can’t see
I can’t breathe
The crowd doesn’t allow escape.

There are clouds of sound and noise
That utter thoughts in a muffled voice,
Gestures of hands simply won’t cast out
Cloudy skies in days of doubt.

Like strangers lost in a crowd
Whose cries are buried by the loud,
The loud din of helpless wanderers
Whose presence disrupts and disturbs.

All strangers left on their own,
Islands floating out in the fog;
Orphans with cruel fates to bemoan;
Fates that are swept under the rug.

And who's looking with interest, who reaches down with an arm,
Never so eager to help, neither too late nor too soon?
Who would make this world perhaps a little more warm
And freshen the skies of our cloudy afternoon?

What she shows the world:

She is always the center of attention
Where she goes others follow
When she smiles they feel affection
When she leaves all feels hollow

She can dance the night away
And party till the dawn
She’ll never walk alone by day
Or wake lonesome in the morn

Whatever she wants she gets
And she does not seem to try
She lives life with no regrets
Simply watching the world fly by

The globe is in her hands
So many at her beck and call
All play into her demands
For they’ll catch her, should she fall

What she feels inside:

She is all alone in this world
Though crowds do often pass her by
Her life seems to have come unfurled
In a shambled mess she does lie

With no one to pick up the scraps
She lays broken and destitute
Fighting for air her lungs collapse
And her weak cries for help fall mute

Now pondering her life thus far
She realizes it was a waste
All that’s left is an ugly scar
Her deep shame, and a bitter taste

She often lays awake at night
Waiting for loneliness to end
As darkness parts for morning's light
Sleep, her only friend
Can one be both popular and alone?

It’s as if everyone knows me
But no one cares to know me
Alone in this crowd
Is there something wrong with me? I don’t understand why no one even cares to talk to me.

he smiles to himself
as he walks away
away from the crowd
the noise and hustle
to his secluded home
the calmness fills him
as he steps in the door
another day completed

Behind a pause
Is an unspoken word
But it's okay
Because the crowd
Isn't here to listen to you.

Behind a distance
Is an urge for eagerness
But it's okay
Because the crowd
Isn't here to join you.

Behind a tear
Is an ignited resolve
But it's okay
Because the crowd
Isn't here to push you.

Behind a pain
Is a locked up bliss
But it's okay
Because the crowd
Isn't here to cheer you.

Behind a mask
Is yourself that's lost
But it's okay
Because the crowd
Isn't here to accept you.

There are so many things
That I want to share
With the world,
With someone
But maybe it's just okay
To talk to yourself
Because the crowd
Isn't here for you.
Love yourself before it is too late.

I'm sitting on his shoulders, looking out at the rest of the dancing crowd.

The music puts a spell on the evening.

I breathe happiness, pure joy.

Have I ever felt this free?

My hand fits perfectly in his.

We dance our way through the crowd of happy people.

Such a magical night.

We sparkle, just like the fireworks.

The night belongs to us.

My tall stranger and I.

He tastes like tobacco and beer, just like me.

Tonight we belong together, I feel proud to have him by my side.

I'm sure I will see him again soon,
my tall stranger
