from
ultraviolet to infrared
and all that’s in between,
only you.....
my crescent bearing jewel
who’s pure
as white jasmine

under a torrential shower
of iridescent peacock feathers,
i spy
the cosmic flautist,
whose conch shaped eyes
ooze boundless compassion,
his dusky complexion
mirrors the night sky,
as the twinkling stars
in the firmament
stealthily become his garland

what will he do next?

steal the heart of the next damsel
who comes his way?

start another world war to fight for justice?

or open his mouth to show us the whole universe within?

Manifest a reality worthy of your being,
Appreciate the cosmos aligning within.

As a man, I contemplate my thoughts just beyond the boundary of breaking waves on the shore. An endless symmetry stands before me. The ocean with its crash and calm takes any and all forms. Yet though it morphs its shape, its nature always remains. To be life and to contemplate life. A mere thought that has enchained the minds of greater men. In the grand symphony of time, we find ourselves in the 21st Century. Where there are those who postulate the Theory of Illusion. Each of our own odysseys reduced to the hallucinatory will of my brain. Tell me then, how does one illusion contemplate its own existence from within? My gaze refocuses out to the endless blue horizon, and I imagine the shape of it all. Though we take many forms, our nature prevails. Social animals some would say. I prefer a different metaphor, shepherds of knowledge. Though our collective knowledge flaunts many costumes, our true nature perseveres unfettered. Through the ages we carry all human ingenuity, meanings, and purpose inside some unspoken tome. It does not erode against the battering winds of time. It can not be sunken to the depths. It endures in this very contemplation. My wandering inquisitive mind cannot help but wonder what abstract thought will be captured in this very spot a thousand years from now. For some this conjures a mysterious existential dread, but I can only stand and smile. My mind lets me step outside the binding flow of time and watch the world unfold. Campfires under the crescent moon to villages etched out on verdant ground, and here now to the grand gusto of modern cities. Endless forms and shapes pushing towards our ultimate nature. To understand that purpose in the universe if left by our boot impressions on the mud. The cosmos is our endless ocean. Out there; waiting, for our contemplative minds to shape it.

~

from darkness we emerged
a fragile little dream;
the wonders of the universe
and all that she had seen.
our bodies each a vessel
from a time before our own;
suspended between a sunbeam
a world we call our home.
and yet, the beauty of it all
is the clock upon the wall;
as when nothing else remains
perhaps only the stars,
will remember our names.

enthralled, you got me in a reverie
about your doll eyes alike the stars
that shines from a far cosmic galaxy.
love, you’re a pulchritudinous nebula.

almost failed to respire
while keeping our eyes fixated.
you’re my blanket,
my comfort through this storm.

as the sun kissed goodbye to the cerulean sea,
the whispers of the waves shift ‘neath your feet.
in a cold breeze, it felt unusually warm,
similar to a milkish pale, creamy optimism latte.

you’re fond of fireflies falling into your palms,
like a fairy dust in a fantasy.
fallen flowers amid abysmal situation,
a frantic feeling fades away instantly.

my Allie, i’ll be your Noah
who stares and loves you endlessly.
grateful to be lost in your smile,
will always hold your hand till eternity.

Now, I go deep in the black hole,
Peirce the fabric of space-time.
where the poets find their rhyme,
where the dramatists find their mime,
I will spot what is mine!

within
these five syllables
lies the universe...
you,
angels and demons
me, included too

so do
the five elements,
the past, present and future,
and the states of waking, dream and deep sleep too...

this is where
the atom gets to pirouette
thanks to his cosmic breath
which reverberates
the mantra OM

in that sentient golden hall
with a thousand pillars
the enchanting damsel of illusion
who once shared half his body
stands in total surrender🙏

bound by duality,
she’s awestruck
at the sight of his pantomimic dance
spanning eleven dimensions
which even crushes saintly time

In this poem the universe is seen as an evolution of the primordial cosmic dance of shiva witnessed by the great goddess kali

This poem is dedicated to the great Sivavakkiyar.
