Odd
Here i am standing on an eerie looking stage,
Without a hint of nervousness,
How odd they say, to not feel the pressure being stared at by all these eyes
Being the centre of the attention,
Being the one to be judged,
Ahh yes.. Of course its odd for someone without the gift of sight
To be given the chance to speak for the world
A world where a man has been living in all his life,
Yet not a split second able to see.
How odd....

The oxygen that we breathe
in
and
out
every minute of every day
is not lost
but shared
re-used
recycled
recirculated.

If we are in the same room –
or sealed hermetically for hours
in the cabin of a plane –
we breathe continuously
the same air,
the oxygen goes from me to you
and back again.

But air currents,
prevailing winds,
the jet stream,
cyclones and anti-cyclones,
all move the atmosphere further
and further still,
so that even if we are
on opposite sides of the globe,
separated by oceans,
it is a statistical certainty
that I still breathe in
atoms of oxygen
that were once
inside
you.

Do they carry your thoughts,
your feelings,
your poetry to me,
or mine to you?
Who can say?
I can but hope it,
as I thank you
for keeping me alive.

GOI
You, and your tricks and your toys
Running with your bad ideas
Like scissors You, and your kicks and your ploys
To see what messes you could create for your gallerias.

Feed me *******
Smoke me down
Pour me champagne
Evaporate this town

You're a liar
But I need you in my marrow...
Yes, now, the notes are gettin' higher
The hallways narrow

As my brain gets brighter
Eyes get wider
Life gets lighter
As I sip sweet cider

I'll look up longer
Still connected to Earth's core
Body to mind, stronger
Watching beauty, on it's hinges swing the door

Leaves drip like tears from trees
As the clouds paint the sky
But still life is full of idiosyncrasies
And you still told too many lies
Relax,
Get in the mood.
Elevate your state of being
we're about to create
a bond that can't be broken
as your mind creates sense
of all these words that are seen
but never spoken.

Let us melt our beings into complete darkness
and live a thousand lives as criminals
whom refuse the rule of the machine,
You and I, we've always been
doomed to be forgotten.

Hear me when I say
it does not matter
whether it's black or white
What we hold between us
is carried on a breeze throughout the night
more so, beyond the dawn of a new day
piercing into a reality
that is the bane of existence.

Come,
Let's dissipate into a thousand colours
and paint over the gray essences
of all those similarly broken souls
whom never really had a clear view
of their goals.

Shall we
Cast aside the boulders we carry,
witness the marriage of mind and matter
until there's nothing left of us
merely a splatter
hidden somewhere, nearly forgotten
in the consciousness of strangers
building their dreams.

I want to know you, the atlas that led you to today
The roads and paths you took, the footprints you left
The ones you tried to dust away
Moments where you felt repelled by present gusty wind
Eager to erase the future
And escape to the past
I want to connect to the entity that sits in front of me, the whole of your being
I want to fall into you slowly
Like a babbling brook
Talking too much too fast diving deep
Sliding over hard rocks in the way
Breaking cold ice
Breaking ideas or representations
I want to fall in

And we talked
Swimming in the deep oceans of our lives
Taking a deeper plunge into dark water
A little bit of sun lighting dreamy waves

we know now we want more, a life worth fighting for
we said our dreams would carry us

Connected in this flower;
None above the other.
Some, they may be older,
Just like our elder brother.
We vary so very much;
Grow enemies and such.
But we all contribute
Together to each other--
My sisters and my brothers,
I love you so very much.

We are all of the same stuff,
Organic matter from Earth.
The soil that grows your food
Could've come from a deceased brood.
Then when you, too, pass,
You may turn into grass;
A re-incarnated physical pass,
Into a plant, and the cycle, it lasts--
And that is only the physical pass, lass,
What other realms may you surpass?
Journey forward on, rest-assured,
You are not gone.
You remain alive;
In memories, in energy,
In our Mother, where we reside.
You are always a part of her family.
Your mark is here, and you are loved.
An eternal home, whether you return,
Or move on.
Love you, Mom.

yes, your heart broke. but let me tell you this, it didn't happen the way that you think it did.
it didn't shatter, crack, or crumble.
it broke open.
it had so much love inside that it simply spilled right out. an overflow of emotion so deep it brought you to your knees.
you can feel it in your chest, like you're being pulled open, like your soul is being pulled right out through it.
but give it just a little while to adapt, my love, and you'll see it grows fast
it will expand to shove that love right back in again. plenty of space for a new love to take place.
it's a flow of emotion, feel it like a wave and float with it.
ride it til the tides are guiding you back to shore and ground yourself then. your toes in the sand.
you're apart of everything that exists.
feel the sea, feel the sand, feel the trees, feel the land.
but most of all, feel the love.

We are* all *broken
maybe not the same way

but we all have our cracks
whether or not everyone else sees them

We are all broken in our own ways
we cannot fill our cracks

but we can find someone with the perfect amount of cracks
and understand why they fit perfectly with yours

We are all broken
maybe you are more broken than me
or vise versa

but we are all broken
We are...

They are,
She is,
He is,
You are,
I am
