sun-kissed white clouds blossom in the blue, free to fly with the wind. in the long horizon they take on silver hues, those deeper graphite tones that promises good rain. the cloudy day is my joy, for those passing white blossoms of the sky bring the transitory shade i love. upon the sidewalk i am as a happy butterfly beneath a tree canopy. passing from bright sun to mellow hues.

Surfeit with darkness
Clouds are sponges
Soaking up the
Night

Cloudy nights are beautiful!

His plane sailed into a milk-white sky,
white mare's tails spiraling in pale water.
Mind and time became elastic as he
vanished away and then returned.
I look for days like this in winter,
with hints of soft sunshine
and opalescent clouds.
Sometimes the harshest season
is the kindest, and paints a scene
that soothes artist and lover,
when wishing hands part the cloth
of reality with dream.
Or when the earth itself
Seems to remember soft interglacials
And seasons seemingly spun
Like cotton candy to soothe
The wounds inflicted by us.
Earth is like the mother spider,
eaten by its young.
In summer, I watch the trees and flowers. In winter, I watch the clouds. Then it occurred to me that someday these will be changed or gone and that only we humans will remember, or the earth itself.

I was withdrawn,
Sullen,
Angry,
Then to my forest edge you came one day,
Sailing in on a
Bed of clouds
With a rainbow smile.
Although I tried to climb the trees,
Your bed of clouds was too high,
And you didn’t dare go down into the forest,
For fear your cloud would break.
The sweet pang I felt as I watched your
Rainbow smile ascend on your bed of clouds
Would not be soon forgotten.
But as I awake from my dream,
Your memory fades
As the wisp of a cloud.
Happy New Year everybody!  I hope your 2020 has had great moments already, and that there are more great ones to come! <3

Everything's gonna break too soon
That includes your heart.
Everything's gonna diminish
That includes your smile.
You may be on cloud nine
But certainly you're going to fall soon.
Mask your feelings
Because there's no one you can show it to.
Life is so uncertain ;
That you may get lost or you'll loose
The clock is ticking
The moments are passing
Never wait
Never stop
This stoppage may break your heart soon.

The sun has come and gone
The moon eclipsed
The wind has run away
The sea receded

How many opportunities
Have been lost
Because of waiting for
'The right moment'

Heavy lids cinch sockets shut
allowing only in(ternal)sight.
Awash in slumber
I witness dreams
those interdimensional thoughts,
that stuff of other worlds.
My consciousness has entered their land
and they drift toward it, permeating it placidly
like nubile nimbus innervating the sky.
I am enraptured by their ever-changing narrative.
Wispy cirrus with its fleeting skeleton story,
cumbersome cumulus, pregnant with meaning,
eager to spill forth and shower me with its mysteries.
I gaze at the heavens and I am their architect.
I mold the ever-shifting shapes they show me
into some semblance of significance
as they dissolve before my eyes
and new forms take their place.
Though I will remember none,
their impression leaves
imprints,
and I awake with more questions than answers.
