Light steps taken through teenage and out,
Into the labyrinth of knowledge immense.
The days he spent were rigorous & tough,
Enlightenment sought for a spiritual dance.
Six years went by and more eventually will.
The eternal student in the medical field.
Harrowing swiftly over his patients of old,
And sick and depleted and demented and cold.
He earned his due over their recovery, well
A touch of satisfaction akin divinity's swell.
Higher powers of cure none else could whim,
But wait, the pack made a all-knowing of him.
"How could he not cure the morbid of ills?
What use of his nobility if the reaper won still?"
And it was then that the violence did start!
With bare hands, metal bars and no holds bar!
He survived, near death_just mortal he was,
The in-fights & dog-fights & fist-fights too much.
With loss of faith and beliefs in shambles,
The young doctor, yet arose atop all scandals!

Distraught and desolate yet dauntless in will
He hopes for his servitude to have a meaning, still!
Written in solidarity with the doctor fraternity in India. The young gun, the best minds of the country .. being subjected to violence at the hands of those that, in their griveous hurt_ take it all out on the young doctor. For no fault of his.

The air should be light.
Filled with joy, not fright,
On this cold winter night.
And for most, it is.
the difference between
them and me, you see,
Is that they are not prisoners
Of their minds. They are free.
I was sentenced to this life alone
Without a home to call my own,
After I served my country.
Oh, what a world I was shown.
Don't misunderstand. I had a good life.
I lived the American dream,
Complete with a house, a dog, a beautiful wife.
But once I signed up for another tour,
Her heart couldn't take it anymore.
She walked out the door.
When I came back, I was too embarrassed to ask for help.
So that's how I got here,
Feeling like I only have
myself to blame.
But even as I join my fellow outcasts,
Forgotten, and unloved,
I smile with pride
Knowing I was brave enough to play the game.

I'm on the brink of running away,
At a clifftop, staring at the sea
It looks so tempting, to let it all go
To finally live in ecstasy...

But if there's a chance I can fight today
If it's possible I can be fearless
Maybe I'll turn this from a tale of Woe
To one of Triumph from utmost distress.
Trying to find courage.

Once there was a land
full of wonder
that hypnotized every other sedulous person
to trade their soul
to live in its deceiving bubble.

Oh! how she wished
she was brave enough
to step into the enchanting wonder
that stood before her.
The grass always looks greener on the other side. Everyone has their own struggles and everything comes with a price.

Meandering within
my oasis so bleak
I search for a puddle
or two, or three
To fill my void with color
alas I lack it so-
Yet dry it may be
a body with no bones
is  simply a catastrophe

A brick of an idea
forever a missing stair-
Crashing waves of my conscience-
proving hard to keep steady

A common melody I sing-
a  marching song to accompany me
I have a duty to protect
Why do I do it again?
Oh yes!
A world without tragedy-
would be a place of no hope
So I continue marching to the beat
and dance along side it

The darkest nights
pressed together with a myriad of bright lights
Although some  are too far gone;
filled with drear and covered with smog
That paints a starry night so deep
relaying the tales my path foresaw
And tilting my world off its axis

A whirlwind lifts my thoughts
and settles them in my soul-
A kin to my heart;
an endless symbol of myself

A wave of calm despite the storm
I keep steady in its wake,
Survive the disaster presented
And so
I may carry the debt of its weight

Even the scariest monsters-
Enjoy a good nap
So the booming may end
But I know better
_
I will keep up this wall,
So I may shelter those dear
And fight off the harm
Oh, I can already sense it coming
Believe it or not, I did decide to continue the challenge I set  fir myself! This poem is actually written for a good friend of mine...I understand what she's going through right now, but I can't stand to pity her. We can be two brick walls, united-making us unbreakable!
