4/18/2020 - Poetry form: Alliteration - © 2020 by Mark Toney. This is the 6th poem in my Alliterative Alphabet Series. Each poem describes conversations between two or more people while only using words that start with the first letter of the title of the poem. I’m publishing the poems as I write them on Wattpad.com, not necessarily in alphabetical order. My goal is to write at least 26 poems to cover each letter of the alphabet. I hope you find the concept interesting, maybe even clever. Most of all I hope you enjoy them :) - © 2020 by Mark Toney. All rights reserved.

They never tell you when you're young
That you lose your friends to life
The precious and deep looking eyes
look for a land of love
the woman says here he lies
in the deep blue sky above.

He touches me with a sense of hope
that my love is a land of vast eternity
he uses the most tightened rope
which pulls me with certainty

Two people a single soul they say
however, hate or love are feelings that bend
like life is a very very long day
as in a moment, memories descend
I close my eyes to that story I hear
that very well struck a chord
the characters to me were very near and dear
to me and thy lord

Please play me a very minor fret
that just sounds almost right
and with this tune, we shall get set
to play it pure and to play it white.

Look into my luscious lips
and to how deep red they are
pray for the best of me u see
with a different taste every time
sometimes sweet sometimes sour
A poem on what it feels like in a land full of love

This last Sunday I learned.
A lesson so long it has taken.
That some family don't stop with your first awaking.

Some family is earned.

Some family you ain't born with.
Some family more than an obligation.
Some family you gain with commitment, with dedication.

It don't matter the blood, time, name or location.
When this family been years in the making.
True this what I say, for the process be painstaking.

We've bonded with one another.
Bound by the love for the other,
The good, the bad,
The pain, the smiles we share 'em.
No matter our destination.
To a curious little girl I met near 3 years ago. You mean more to me than you would ever know.

Let's break the bonds, all of 'em,
Those first that are weak and bent.
Would I be elated or would I be miserable?
What about the heart that would be left irreparable?

All the diamond memories should be thrown away to move on,
From the cries to the share of ****.

I asked myself if they gave a ****,
Regretting the fact that I loved them more than my fam.
Love that they promised I cherished whenever,
But the loneliness is maybe what I'm getting forever.

The umbrella in my hand is what they gave me,
Though, it didn't help stop the running water from my eyes that I plea.
The question that still remained,
Was I going to give my life a new name?

The one where they broke my heart.
A molecule of water
Formless
Never alone
Different atoms
Sharing is strength
Creating covalent bonds
