It's your birthday and I sit down to write,
Reminiscing those times so bright.

Here it is,Your special day,
So I thought I'd take this time to say
How nice it is to have a friend
Who listens and understands.

The kind of friend who's always there,
Ready to show that someone cares.
You've cheered me up when I was down Just by simply hanging around.

And oh the times we 've spent in laughter
Have made me chuckle for many days after.

Within you, I've found the perfect friend,
A mind that I can comprehend,
Within you, I've found the perfect friend
With whom I can be real and never pretend.

I make you mad and you drive me nuts,
But we have the thing that is called trust.
We laugh, we cry, we make time fly.
Together we smile, together we sigh

Hoping that all your wishes comes true,
and your day is as sweet as you!
Wanted to share this thought with you
Having you as a friend makes it my special day too.

Happy birthday to you again,
And I hope that you soar.
I'll always wish the best
Because you know I love(hate) you more!
Happy birthday to my best friend.... You've been with me through thick and thin... And helped me get up when I feel down.... So thank you for everything❤️

April is the pouring rain
Frog beats and birthday wishes
Warm nights and short clouds
Wrapped in foggy breaths.

In just 40 mins I
hear your beautiful voice
see your glowing face
touch your hands
feel your embrace
revive my humanity
and the best of it is
we can now properly talk like we used to be
it's the best gift that I can ever have

if I popped a balloon for every time I felt
black sludge in place of where serotonin should be,

I'll have ruined my own birthday party.
...oh, where are the guests?
did I cancel on them or did they cancel on me?

oh well. I still have my cake.
my black, sludge cake.
my cool new thing is not bothering with the titles anymore

Today we celebrate
An awesome woman's birth
We look to her empty chair

And we smile
Mouths curve open
But our eyes reflect despair

For it's another birthday past
When we celebrate
Without the birthday girl there
Another year has past
Time still runs too fast
Many times I failed to catch up

But I found those who wait for me
For it is they who has saved me
I am grateful for all who I came to love

For I still struggle to let them in
Because my inner child from within
Is still frighten from all she was deprived of

I am not the brightest star
Nor do I have the kindest heart
But I thank those who made me feel like I was enough

55--is it the limit?
I’ve been slowing down, for sure.
Trying to economize, but my size
is growing.
No longer a tease; I’ve got bad knees.
I seize the day,
but please,
ask me if I prefer the elevator.
I might see you later--or not.
We can't count on tomorrow,
but I don't dwell in sorrow.
Now I hear more, see more,
even when I've lost my reading glasses. I know what life is for.
I grow things. I sing. Gladly
I do the dishes.
I have no birthday wishes. Wishes are for a future.
I’ve removed things, and sewn a suture.
The way I was is history. That girl, with pretty shoes,
didn’t play the blues.
Now I listen, and I play those tunes.
I’ve got no use for pretty, ‘cept for being pretty sure.
Sure, I've been wrong—wrong to wear those shoes, for one thing,
cuz my toes hurt.
Now, I know all the dirt. I’ve got things buried so deep
no one knows. But from the dirt, stuff grows.
I’m watering those plants, and wait til you see what springs up. Time ain’t up yet,
and there’s a green hill, and tall trees, and a sunset.
I had trouble saving this poem. It didn't want me to start with a number. Weird.

Is the age you are
You have my love
No matter how far

You are my friend
And that will never end
Our love doesn’t snap
It only bends

You’re talented and beautiful
And you’re just so cool
This poem has to end
For I am at school.

Tomorrow is my birthday,
The eve of spring is upon us.
Tomorrow is my birthday, and
I'm still ignored by friends
Wishing that a friend
Would at least
Say "Happy Birthday."
I don't think my wish will come true.
My mouth acted faster than my head
And I screamed before
I could know what I done
And you just stood there,
Making fun.
You never took the time to understand why
Well, neither did my parents so
Who ******* cares?
I'm sorry
I'll **** it up
And fake nice
If it means my birthday
Won't be so bad
