This world was not
Meant; for an angel's
Display, the angel only
Cometh, to bringeth light
In dark day's.

The angel's only
Place, is from the
Star's wherein they
Came. The angel's
Art of God, not of
The world's hate.

The angel's art the
Bringer's, the messenger's
Of life; they cometh O' they
Goeth, they leaveth by the night.

The angel's art fading
Dying in mystical wind's;
Their partially human to,
For they've indulged in
Worldly sin's.

The world was not
Meant; for an angel's
Display. For an angel
Only cometh, to giveth
Light to empty flames.

the girls i see are
angels
sitting around a bar
and laughing
like glass ground under
a steel-toed boot,
with manicured fingers
stirring glasses of
ambrosia
or down their throats
in the bathroom,
because they are not
your Renaissance girls,
harvest goddesses
with lips and cheeks
stained cherry-red.
nobody paints these girls,
their rouge is more
like blood.
they would sooner hang
from a rope, frayed and brown
than a bright museum wall,
for no mahogany frame, or
shining pedestal
knows the grace
of turning aimlessly on
vinyl swivel stools,
making small talk
while their feathers fall
one by one.
this isn't a poem to condemn any "type of girl." quite the opposite, actually. it's sort of a tribute to all the girls who were ever dismissed as being lesser because they failed to be the "art" that society pressured them to be-- i.e. things whose sole purpose is to look appealing.

Sing me a song of angels, oh pious one,
Tell of me your virtues
Make me fall at your feet,
As you whisper your salvation hymn.
Oh, how blinded you are, my dear.
Don't you know?
That the brightest things are framed by stains
You spill white lies so honestly
That you don't notice the demons lurking under your tongue.
Fall at my feet, love.
Let me tell you my virtues
As I whisper my secrets into your snow-white heart.
Let me tell you that
I don't need your mercy.

Ethereal wings,
Divine magical luminescence,
halo of pure light.

An angel on the edge,
spreading her wings,

will she fly or fall?

Angelic tears
create rain.

Even angels
feel pain.

This one's for all the ****** angels
Bearer of knives and guns
I know you didn't use to think this way
You were just like one of us

Every prodigious step
Toward the angel's ascension
Brings the Omnipotent tear.

Descending like stars overlapping,
Birthing a dark constellation
Chasing a Holy Ghost.

Behold himself in reflection
Twice as a rich man,
Once more a beggar fluent;

So comes a behemoth on winged
Sandals that which twice befell,
Unveiling the holiest of sins.

Father before me and after,
Is immortality unveiled
Like parting from Heavens gate?

From the highest in a chain,
A slave to every master;
Much defined is the mortality.

The Dead have no glory,
For glory's sake to remember
A Victory in transcendant stories.

Seek no more the Holy
As though running from fear
Of the sin,

Tis the same above as below,
Man o man, the futile pawn
Of the Mysterious Game.

I was an angel once
I had a home
A family
Friends

I looked down at the world and saw good
I saw peace and harmony
I saw joy and happiness
I saw kindness and love

I was an angel once who looked down at the world
From my home in the clouds
It wasn't long until I came crashing down

Falling
Falling
Falling
Falling

I was an angel once
I had a halo
I had wings
I had a place to call home

But I fell

There's no going back

My wings are singed
My halo in shatters

I cannot go back

I'm now on earth
Walking amongst man
I now see the dark
I now see the hate

I was an angel once
Ignorant and blind
I believed the world to be a happy place
But then I left heaven behind
When you lose your innocence there's no going back.

Thankyou.
From the bottom of my heart,
Thank you.
Why you continue to believe in me...
I don't know.
But, because of you;
Watching over me while I dream of a place, so real...
I believe.
I believe, I am Loved.
I believe, I am free.
I believe n' Trust... because You first loved, and trusted me.
Your existence... your very essance...
Inspires me; to live-out-loud.
Un-ashamed; I AM radiating the astronomical grace given to me;
To us...
On calvary.
                                  With all my heart
                                              & soul,

who paved the way that we feign?
we face the days and smile in pain
please take away this stain retained
we need to break these chains we claim
facing a hell in heaven's name
let us stay within a grace maintained
we know we won't face this pain in vain
we put our faith in a weightless reign
