Your clarion call
ties silence
in knots,
filling far flung fields full
of forget me nots.
Simon Soane May 2013
A boy and his tiger
went exploring in magical worlds
sharing sweet summers
when it only rained at night
and they met in dreams
of sunlight.
If everything went according to plan
they don't talk anymore
and a stuffed toy
with no memory
collects dust in August
not fireflies.
But sometimes things
don't follow trodden paths
sometimes love lasts
and doesn't go anywhere,
sometimes a boy and his tiger
are together everyday,
sometimes
things stay.
Simon Soane Jun 2013
Aware of tides
a castle fortifies
with memories of compacted glory,
splendid defiance
lost
to brine horizon,
a hailed day
turned whaling ship grey.
Cat
Simon Soane Jul 2015
Cat
How does Poppet feel in this sun?
Does she know in a few she's one?
Furry insides;
purry kin rides.
Simon Soane Dec 2015
Caught in a thought
of you;
carnivals pass without
a clap
and no welcome for
dancing dragons,
a blind spot
to fireworks;
my sky is full of you.
A marathon goes by unacknowledged,
as my eyes
are on a sky
full of you.
Simon Soane May 2013
I really want to dream tonight,
well dream of you to be precise,
what's good for dreaming?
What lets the sandman in with ease?
lots and lots of lovely cheese!
I gorged on Stilton, Feta, Cheddar and Brie
Wensleydale  topped with Cheshire for my tea,
and i dreamt  that night,
i dreamt of you,
and it was wonderful,
so i repeated, cheese consumption again for days.
I'm that fat now i can't get out of bed
but beds the place you dance every night in my head,
more cheese please!
Simon Soane Aug 2017
Itchy
but this won’t always happen,
it’s just your time right now,
in a few months you’ll be gone,
no tiny fangs in the cold,
small gnashing lost to season;
as it is you bite
in summer’s sunlight.
Simon Soane Dec 2015
Rather than write
a Christmas card to you
I wrote this for you.
And that's not because
you're not
on my Christmas card list,
you are (lucky you)
but instead
I wrote you this.
There are folk on ma Christmas card list,
my Ma is on ma list,
cos whenever I'm home
Ma makes me feel like I'm missed.
And friends who see me through fog
when I'm caught in the mist.
And a card for Father
who explained the wow in tryst.
Other friends get a card on the list
for their music and bliss,
I suppose causing bliss gets on the list.
And as you've caused bliss
you're on the list,
for;
the joyful daze in days,
you sometimes made Sundays sun days,
with talk of ace
and gave
a slight gaze
at
synchronistic blue,
top you.
This is not write in Christmas card,
it's writing for you.
Merry merry Christmas
merry Christmas
to you! ***

If
things go
according to plan
you'll be packed up
when this is gone,
in a box
that knows
you lighted
brightly

Now I never have loads of cleaning to do therefore I wouldn't class it as a chore,
but despite my scrubbing being easy I do find it a tad of a bore,
when I get in I just wanna chill, catch up on television and have a feed,
perhaps put on some Coronation Street and then have a bit of a read,
but sometimes the bin needs taking out and then I'll have a hover around
as there are little bits of dust and detritus embedded in the ground,
I'll get the wipes and shine the surfaces until they have a gleam
or wash every dish in the sink to make them looking pristine,
but however stuck I get into elbow grease I'd rather be doing my own vibe
like reclining with rest on the sofa or if I felt like it having a jive;
but when I knew you were coming to stay tonight I thought  "ohh I want to tidy my room"
not because it was an absolute tip or it resembled a junk heap of doom,
It was as I wanted the best for you as I like it when you share my space,
your presence places more springs in my step and throws another smile on my face.
So although last night was spent vaccing and taking nascent cobwebs from my wall
I didn't feel like I wanted to do anything else, there was no yearning at all;
preparing my boudoir for your arrival is not a graft I rue,
I don't mind doing cleaning when my cleaning is for you.
Simon Soane Dec 2015
For seconds
there is a purpose
to everything,
and all that matters hums
with a breezy intensity,
the coincidental collision clockwork
murmurs
right on time;
and all the charms
and all the chimes
are you.
Cog
Simon Soane May 2015
Cog
It's all the same but different,
wise guys still get hints,
Polos are still mints,
sand castles still do best on the beach,
James still has the largest peach,
supercallifrilous
will still be expealidousis,
they'll still be osmosis,
my fake sibling will still be my faux sis.
They'll be dawn still & moonlight thrill
& silly cats on window sill, still, still.
They'll be puns on the hill & run of the mill,
they'll be hibernation curl to blossoming trill, chances missed & days to rue
& summer nights with joyful coo,
but still's not the same
without you.
Because there is one less friend of cats & dogs,
this little world has one less cog.

Saw you returning again from your broken home,
would you ever fix those spoken tomes
you try to say in a troubled tongue?
you turned on something
that was off long.

They criticize
and don’t canonize,
bless you.
we always want you out,
always want you over
the raggedy gambler
With the four leaf clover.

Watched cruelly from the bar
you keep alive,
tracing slip ups

They criticize
They criticize
and don’t canonize,
bless you.
we always want you out,
always want you over
the raggedy gambler
With the four leaf clover.

Your open arms
You’re open hearted
Look what you started

Arriving, a frenzy of possibility
where river find seas,
the torrent in blossom
quelling winter wind
with swells of bloom;
lost too soon.
Seconds last,
comfort past
and broken compass glass.
Simon Soane Apr 2016
At the mo
the folds of hot
and cold
won't be
unless
spring is out
and winter continues
to be frosty
too long;
"frosty too long"
as if,
with heat on the back.
Simon Soane May 2014
Your core, defensive,
then, attacking
verdantly.
A green will go
and approach bark
with the spark of rushing,
after fall.
Simon Soane Mar 2016
If you were a blanket
you'd be full enough
to keep the cold out,
& big,
& all encompassing;
wrapped to safe as safe can be.
Simon Soane Dec 2019
On a Wednesday morn at work I was after food,
so I said to my manager, "I'm off for a break dude!"
I walked out of the employment building and thought, "I can't wait to eat,
my stomach's proper churning and my belly wants a treat."
I bounded to the shop
with the I'm starving hop.
When I got there I grabbed some peanut butter, crisps and bread
and glistened with the fact that I was soon to be fed,
I went to the woman at the counter and remarked, "Hi! Hope you're well, can I have this please?"
She replied, "Course you can!" I felt my famish ease.
She rang it all through and commented, "That will be £3.63!"
I went, "Sweet, just let me get the fee!"
But when I reached in my satchel for my wallet I did a ohhh ****, ****, ****,
I've ******* left it in work!
So I said to the woman, "Oh ****, I've not got the moolah on me (I felt a right ****),
can you just put it to one side and I'll be back in a bit?"
She riposted, "Ahh, don't worry about it, for your forgetfullness I'll cater,
just take the goods and bring the cash in later!"
I was like, "Are you sure? Wow, that's real swell,
awesome awesome, to you all of well!"
I left Sainsburys feeling the goodness in life flow,
and then I spotted this lovely crow!
It was on top of a discarded receptacle that once held a Mac D's
and the remnants of the scoff it was trying to seize,
I got my phone out and went, "Ohh, this ace bird attempting in it's gob sustenance to flick
will make a really mint pic!",
but it was a windy time and the paper holder went out of the crow's reach,
from her grasp and blew up the street.
I felt crestfallen for the winged thing, my being started to lag,
until I remembered what I had in my bag!
I tore open the bread and broke it into tiny parts and said, "Here you go mate, I know that other foodie you did miss
but have some of this!"
And then it occured to me that if someone hadn't gave me the stuff I wouldn't have been able to do that;
I felt the warm in the universe, I heard a joyful clap,
because kindness reciprocates wherever it is found,
from person to person to bird, from the top to the ground,
and when I looked back and watched the crow nibble on the bread before it flew away,
I realised this was turning into a wonderful beautiful day!
(P.S. I went back and paid the woman a hour later!)
Simon Soane Aug 2013
I could be happier,
by not thinking,
how i could
be happier.
Cup
Simon Soane Jun 2015
Cup
A gaze trying not to settle
runs through
all the things I know,
so far,
about you.
Fear being abrupt or early,
although,
unfurl thee.
Contains rush in awesome hush;
quiet and curled up
tries not to think on the cup,
the cusp of the cup.
Dab
Simon Soane Aug 2016
Dab
When you slightly explode
a sky still
still
fills with fireworks.
Just a dab of your fantastic
&
lights are lit
everywhere;
tiny steps of wonder,
illuminating.
Simon Soane Aug 2017
You're right,
your age is a good knock,
made with umpteen strokes
of splendour
and aplomb release;
i'm glad you came to the crease.
Day
Simon Soane Jun 2013
Day
In another life
your farewell
was a dusk that born mourning,
the clatter of closing curtains
rung in the sorrow
of a sunless tomorrow.
Now there are no wailers
impaling the dawn,
but the sound of
pinned butterfly flight,
beating the silence of half-light.
Simon Soane Apr 2016
There are a lot of important things needed to be happy in life,
that stop the dark rising and save the mind from strife,
like hilarious acts and moments we find funny
and as much as it pains me to say a bit of money
so we can do other fun things like go on a night out,
singing the hours away with a beam and a shout,
or a sweet song that glistens around the head,
or an engrossing book to read in bed,
ordering a take away and gorging can give a thrill
or back to back box sets on a Netflix and chill,
and just as crucial as having a top mate to phone
is having a place that one can call home.
Having an abode to go to when employment is done
or a domain to grab some water to quell the heat of the sun,
a space to collapse when infused with inebriation,
when getting tired of tracks, a warm safe station,
a place to get ready when revving to go out in the mix,
yeah, you were all of the above dear Flat Six.
Yeah, I’ll hold my hands up, you've been a ace place in which to live,
okay you were full of damp and the bathroom wall flimsy enough to give,
and when the verdant Eden outside was chopped down it made me mad
but you were only a short walk from my Mum and Dads.
You had plenty of perks,
fab tree out back and close to work,
a 24 hour garage a stone's throw away,
that sold the ***** at night and day,
you were near a cracking paper shop that had had 2 bottles of wine for six quid a go,
suffice to say, el vino did flow.
Your living room was massive enough to play big with a cat
"always a good time here" etched on your welcome mat.
Under your roof was awesome, you engendered joy with ease,
effortlessly making great, just like the cleanest breeze.
Now although you as a building yourself is a important component in amaze
other factors also make a simply brilliant phase,
Like when friends came round for fun and revelry
after we had left the club just after three,
we'd all pick up the ingredients for a ***** do
and jump, and groove with soothing coo,
the ether resplendent with "I love you!"
finely balanced between boom and cautious,
chatting committed, gabbing voracious,
sunk into fun under your light,
the wonder of spun on Saturday night.
Now, it wasn't just at the weekend when friends came to say okay,
there were some sweet gatherings on a Wednesday,
no women, no, just a range age of men,
it could only be mid week Breadren,
we could be having a conversation about how New York seems most tourable
when a voice pipes up, "by the way bel ami my cousin has cancer and it's incurable."
There could only be one guy who brings such depressing roars
the harbinger of gloom known as Two Doors.
He'll bleat on about how his niece has no womb and is totally barren
and next to him lives a kingpin drug baron
"they are shifting units at a furious pace
and ski in more in more wizz than ******* Scarface."
He'll change the subject in the blink of an eye
and go from talking about love to who's going to die,
he doesn't like most women, thinks they are a squawking flock,
he loves men though, yeah, he really likes ****.
A mate can come out and say sobbing he doesn't want to be with a lass
while Iain does think, "Ross, let me in your ***."
His friend could weep and cry with a whimpering cough
while all Iain thinks, Ross, **** me off!
Never mind Grinder, get on my fleshy old man log."
The third guy Martin is off shooting up in the bog.
Yeah, lots of people talked in your four walls
but you provided the space for those stupendous *****,
you were brill in December, springing in May,
really awesome in September, probs cos that's when Louise came to stay.
You held our pre festival clutter with happy behest
and often covered in bottles on Monday, a big glassy mess,
oh you had everything, simply one of the best.
As I’ve said, Flat Six you as the area were great
But a paramount importance in that was housemate.
You see some people can bond and connect in the hub of a club
but when sharing an address each other up the wrong way they can rub,
although they can go to a gig and have the most divine of laughs
when they abide in the same abode they go together like low ceilings and giraffes,
arguments start over the heating not being turned off
or who hasn’t took the bins out or who’s had some of the others food to scoff,
they bleat that “you shouldn’t have gone out for that night on the *****
And then made noise when you got in as you knew I was trying to snooze!”
or “why did you have that night on the coke, you see more of Charlie than an oompa loompa
and have World War 3 over a borrowed jumper.
So yeah, it's sweet when you find a shared space dweller
and who you think is swell and you get on really well,
as when after a day at the office and you perhaps want to chill alone
when they rap on your door to discuss the day you're glad their home,
skating through conversations with the p of pace
raucous at pontificating and waiting in the listen space,
bringing the talk with dazzling natter,
singeing the fork with frazzling chatter
to ensure the words cooked go down warm,
go down a treat, go down a storm,
discussing that wowing tomorrow is pay day thrill
and who was to blame for the initial breakup of Ross and Rachel,
top gabbing, it was brill!
Someone who when the elephant in the room is sniff
you both realise it quick and score in a jiff!
And never entertain the waste that is a tiff,
not for us the sign of a rift
simply super, a kind of bliss,
see I love Joe Flat Six, I love him to bits!
Although, like you  and your constant mould
he wasn't perfect (like everyone), if the truth be told,
you see if you follow all the biblical teachings you've been taught
you'd think he would have thought,
"I can help myself to the dental care and washing hygiene, it don't matter that I haven't bought,
I can use what I deem, Si's not the selfish sort,
he'd give me the last drop of his shower gel if he could,
he defiantly would,
so do unto others as they'd do unto me
and as I’ve got this human cleaning fluid for free
I’ll leave him some plentiful dollops on the side so he can bathe in a Lynx Africa infused sea
and I can leave some mouth polish laid in the shape of a cleansing leaf
so he can keep the fillings to zero in his teeth
then I can take the rest as I’ve been true to my sacred beliefs."
Yeah, that's what he could have done.
Instead he grew horns and committed a Luciferian act
and thought "I'm taking all of that!",
Sartini, you Devilish ****.
Nar, I bet you didn't even think that at all,
you were too busy imagining going out and having a ball,
beautifully bouncing off every wall,
riding the waves of Wet Dreams with total aplomb,
spinning tunes while high fiving Tom,
cool as ice cream and hot to trot
country hopping and swigging spirits by the tot,
at least Shannon seems to have diminished, that ****** robot!
she had more wires than C3PO's thighs
and glazed over R2D2 eyes
fair dos you digged her metallic allure
but did you really want to make love with the Terminator?
Ahh but who cares about a bit of shower gel and your cyborg fawning
it was great singing along as the day was dawning
And obvs I know every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end
But it’s only natural to miss living with one of your best friends.
So far be it from me to encourage your narcissistic gaze
but Joe you can add top housemate to your list of fortes!
So dear Flat Six to summarise
I’ll miss sitting out your back in summer rise
looking through your big tree with my eyes
at the Saturday sun azure blue skies,
I’ll miss that whatever there is to unfold
won’t happen over your threshold,
I’ll miss coming in your space with loads of beer
And chill with tunes while mates appear,
I’ll miss the midnight moving across your floor,
miss my key going in your door,
miss that it’s not your clock telling my time
miss that you’re not mine when I say “who wants to go mine?”
But now you’ll always be more than an address and a collection of bricks
I’ll always love you,
dear Flat Six!
Simon Soane Mar 2017
I might not see you tonight,
things can come up
and if they do, that’s fine
there are other sweet ways for me to spend my time;
I could read a book and then watch television,
catch up on my shows with concise precision,
make a lavish meal and then chow down at leisure,
put some music on and dance with pleasure,
have a long shower and then go for a walk,
meet friends and hear them talk;
these are just a few of the other things I could do tonight,
but if I see you?
Oh what a delight!
Simon Soane Jun 2016
It's delightful!

You're as delightful as Christmas snow
and when I realise I haven't turned my MP3 player up as loud as it can go.
You're as special as laughs with friends
and those books with happy ends.
You're on par with brilliant beaches
and as wanted as succulent peaches,
I love your reaches
to me.
You're as fantastic as a rubber ring to a sinker
and as Friday wine to a weekend binge drinker.
As great as the on time train when i'm running late
and as ace as a welcoming gate.
You're as fine as a clean bill of health,
there's lots of WOW in your wonderful self.
Simon Soane Jun 2015
I'm glad when humans were new they walked about
and didn't just sit and stew in their own juices,
they got up and toured the hue of places,
and saw unfamiliar faces;
"Hi, how are you, are you a person too?  Fancy setting up camp?  If you need a light I've got a lamp!"
So cities emerged and created verges
and separate surges,
blossoming splurges,
in concrete or tent,
which is great.
The only thing is that means our location
can kinda pre ordain our destination,
as in I can't say...
"I'm going now Mum, just having a walk to the Hanging Gardens of Babylon."
Or
"Cheers my friend for the afternoon talk, i'm now going to stroll to the sunset in New York."
If we are not there we need plans to get there,
bus, then a train, then, maybe, a plane.
Our want can't just be unravelled,
if it's distant we need to travel.
As much as I want to say, "hey Lou, what you doing today?
Feel like a dally in the park with thundering larks and then when the light goes dark come to my room and create our own spark?" i'm restricted, constricted by distance, our distant dance.
But
distance is not just measured in geographical far,
not every journey requires a car,
sweet synchronicity ignores miles and yawning gaps,
especially when there's high fiving in our synapse;
ahh, to spend Sunday drifting in and out of naps,
without eyes on the time,
intertwined in the sunshine.
Yeah, distant may seem a trial
but galaxy hopping is nothing
if it's really worth the while.
Do
Simon Soane Nov 2015
Do
If there was mire
you'd lift me above,
if all was hate
you'd provide love,
if you were a soul mate
you'd give me a hug
and clean the air if I was choking on fug,
and chew for me to get rid of cud,
and find me dry land in days of flood,
plasma me up when short on blood;
you'd walk me if my legs were spent
you'd give it meaning if I don't know what it meant,
you special shimmer,
you're heaven sent.
Simon Soane May 2015
You leave
but make no effort with doors,
small barriers rescind without touch,
I love you much.
A room with walls is nothing now
when maybe glides in the skies beat eyes;
everywhere usurping somewhere,
no lurks in lairs
or nestled corners;
a warmer, a light,
where all is all right.
Simon Soane Nov 2018
I was drunk,
you were drinking and well on your way,
for one night we visited again
the apex of us,
a perfect facsimile of those days
when we were ours
and
danced
for hours.
Simon Soane Nov 2015
When the last dream of you
I told you as soon as I could,
straight on wake;
the
tales
of
sleep
communicate.
Now
lay as a
closeness
rescinds,
oh,
the things we nearly did
with wings.
Simon Soane Oct 2018
There's something about you
that is mega lovely,
and,
super splendid cuddly;
many many adjectives
they do
in my head
land,
when we walk
hand
in hand.
Simon Soane Jun 2017
In this early summer placement
it's easy to arrive
at your blue eyed station.
Simon Soane Aug 2014
Fading next to summer strength,
but
still
and unshy
of green,
it's just a range
gone.
No falling thoughts,
as you fall soon,
as once
in bloom.
Simon Soane May 2016
It's easy to write words about you,
there is no deliberation over syntax,
these letters get
sequential run;
natural as blue sky
holding new sun.
Simon Soane Aug 2018
I sometimes think
the solution
is flowing illusion,
and evolution:
and forward tracks that
stop for delicious snacks:
and put light
into back packs.
Simon Soane Jul 2014
On every brink
of an idea
you appear,
nestling with the dive
into thought,
you infuse and wrought.
Fought for position,
to lose,
back to tumbling
without lines
underlined ; or meant clarity,
as for you.
Simon Soane Mar 2017
There are lots of topper things I adore on earth,
like cats, the moon and drunken mirth
or talking, the sea and a well buttered bun,
nights drawing in or long days in the sun.
Another thing I really like is having a shower in the morning,
it’s the perfect antidote to my just awoke yawning,
the aqua blast helps remove the yearning for more bed
the watery goodness bringing vitality to my head,
the soapy woosh invigorates and vamooses my alarm’s mesh,
I exit the bathroom feeling fantastically fresh
and when I’m sat on the bus to work I think “ohh, someone smells splendidly,
oh wait a minute, yeah, it’s me!
Now although I adore gliding into employment with the fragrance of roses
I don’t always heed my cleanliness craving after dozes,
If I’ve had a alcohol drenched Sunday with lots of venturing out
my wanting for a pre work bathe goes up the spout,
sometimes I’ll awake on Monday after a drunken slumber
and feel like I’ve been covered in a ton of lumber,
and think “right it’s either get up now and scrub myself clean
or hit snooze and have another 15”
as even musing on that is making what little energy I have sap
I pull the quilt tighter and take the nap,
the tiny jot of rest doesn’t even touch the side
and before I know I’m at the bus stop awaiting a ride,
I get on and sit down still knackered as hell
and think, “what is that that stale vino smell?
Ohh I bet someone unfortunate was sat here before me,
one of those who has to choose tween getting drunk and having their tea,
someone who everyday has to have more than a few,
then the penny drops, “Jesus Si that odour is coming from you!”
I’m weary, languid, my body is sore,
and because I didn’t shower I’ve got Pound Shop wine coming out of my pores
yeah 4 for tenner cheap plonk is great to toast the end of the paid employment week
but after 24 hours without a cleanse  it pongs pretty bleak,
I’ve got eau de toillete of rotten grape reek.
I hum like I’ve slept in a pre Herculean task Stables Of Aegean that’s been dosed in a dregs of wine pump,
or stench like a on the streets Oliver Twist spliced with a wino Stig Of The Dump.
The bus pulls up to work and before I head in I think I’ll grab something greasy to eat,
ohh, congealed fat mixed with a day on the beers stink, your mates’ nostrils are in for a treat.
I slob to my desk like the unbathed thing I feel
And ponder, “that shower later better be the real deal.”
But, I don’t always rue not having a shower on a Monday because sometimes it means I don’t have the aroma of a stale wine scene,
sometimes uncleansed has me feeling serene!
I remember one unshowered Monday as I’d seen you on the Sunday I smelt of that perfume you always wear,
cos as you’re huggy and tactile it was on my clothes, some of it was even in what was left of my hair,
and as that scent reminded me of you what swirled around me was your awesome breeze,
suffice to say that day of employment passed with ease,
as whenever I got bored of pretending to look at that work thing on Excel
i’d get a hint of your fragrance and my thoughts would propel
with,
your easy wisdom and penchant for a chats
how you like Amaretto and how you love cats,
how you help out animals when they’re feeling brittle
with the tender coo of a Dr Doolittle.
You can take a piece of junk that was discarded at leisure,
decorate it with aplomb and turn it into a treasure,
you’re a burst of energy, a buzzing sprite,
a pleasure to be around, a total delight,
you’re interested in the world, and quantum theory,
talking to you is never dreary,
you bounce around the pub fabulously gassing with the many folk you see,
opening conversations with your splendid key,
**** you seem as popular as me!
Ahh, your joyful demeanour and fantastic soar,
how could anyone fail to hear your wonderful caw;
Emma every time I see you I like you more!
And on those your perfume days when I do get home, hit the shower and feel cleanliness envelop my face
I think, “you know for a ***** day you turned out pretty ace!”!
Simon Soane Dec 2016
Fortunate fireworks
sing when i'm near you,
such a bang in the sky.
Simon Soane Jun 2017
You:
with every movement
the world you're mending;
as confident as a fairytale
with a happy ending.
Simon Soane Feb 2017
Every time
I see you
I like you more than I did
when I liked you straight away.
Simon Soane Mar 2016
Every time
you're a Valhalla,
or some other land,
the most rushing meld of pallor
in our heldest hands.
You're a pinnacle of journey,
a warm and safe abode,
in the burden of the box
you're the lightest carried load;
my shoulder no corrodes.
You're the best seat at the banquet,
you're the high in every view,
you're the finery in gliding,
you're the wing of every flew.
Simon Soane Mar 2019
In all the four corners of the room,
amongst the selfies
and the sit down snacks,
you have,
as ever,
the beautiful knack
of being here,
and wonderful.
Simon Soane Oct 2017
I imagine well
in multiverse tribes you'd be,
always existing
next to next
with others
in the easy shine you give;
all your moments gilding a live.

Eye
It's always in focus,
everything you do.
And,
when lids drop
there's thankful clapping for the highs,
and for the sunshine
from your eyes.

As leaves fall more
in
the wind
and
no longer watered
hanging baskets
become
leftover
summer caskets
you're still here:

you, with your never-ending arc of abundance;

making every season,

making every year.

Simon Soane Sep 2016
Far
In far muddy ground
you’re dry land,
thickening clogs
blocked with cease
are not beyond your fixing reach;
cautious steps become ballet,
the
dancing for you.

I've known you as long
as i've known someone
kind.
You made me present
when
i anticipated your presence
and presents.
You are what you were always were;
you give and leave,
like leaves.

When I throw
a nasty little thing like ego out
by my invouluntary
fingers
I worry people
just think I'm making
crazy hand shapes
in the air;
Nar,
these fantastic digits carry care.
