All it took was one look
One memory
One flashback
One feeling
I'm back again
I remember it all.
The sadness
The irritability
The feeling of worthlessness
The feeling of impending death
The breakdown...
I'm back again.
And this time may be the last.

you say that all blacks are bad
you say they all do drugs and **** people
you say they cant be trusted
you say that kids will be confused with mixed race parents
you say it makes people look horrible if they are seen with a colored person

you make no sense

have you seen the news?
read the paper?
you see whites doing horrible
if not worse things.
but yet you only point a finder at the colored

you just don't see it

So what if races are mixed?
another persons feeling and emotions do not affect you
If they are content then let them be
There is nothing wrong with it

Colored families have just as many ups and downs as a white family
but yet they are not seen as civilized people.
just a color, not a person.

So why are they still seen as "different"?
why do you have double standards?
Why can't you see a person's character and adjudicate that.
Stop being so dense and prejudice!
You know for a fact that whites are causing as much disorder to the world as colored.
Stop trying to protect yourself from a color!
It jumps around a lot

I pick up a pen
to let my emotions flow
The ink has dried
The paper remains empty.

I cry.
i don't even know how to handle this writer's block.
I am so sorry
I should have seen it
I should have called more
But I let you slip away
I was too wrapped up in my own problems
And you two seemed so happy
I just kind of stopped calling
Usually I called when I was sad
Hearing you
Made me feel better
But the emptiness came right back when the line went dead
I should have pressed harder
Secrets can be necessary
But they can also tear you apart
Like knives hitting the target of our friendship
Please stop throwing your knives
And I will stop mine
And we can patch up the holes
We left behind
I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.

Unafraid

They try to take this truth
And brainwash it from purpose
But the lights in the sky
Can’t blaze the eye

Hearts melting after broken tears
And love is gone
Promises still remain
But there won’t be any gain

How these burning lights
Underestimated our faults
Through this misery we are and always will be
Awake and unafraid
There's a color in my head, it wont leave me alone
As the peacock feathers, she's got no where to go
So I just smoked her down, left a funny taste in my mouth
No longer can I breathe in, I'll have to do without

This lung
And this heart
Is filled
With tar

He said he was your lover, with real debonair
Filled you up with warm words, that weren't really there
His hand was on yours, felt like a shackle
Frozen straight to the heart, he felt so cold

His heart
and his mouth
Were filled
With his own doubt

I swear to god I'm trying
But my lungs can barely move
Trying to breathe you in
But there isn't much space

Despair

It was never real
It was never there
Like teal skies
It flies right past our despair

And like a story far too grimm
This world is far too scared
In this horror film
And our lives flared

And now without that weight
I can finally dream
It awaits
And I could love

At least it seemed

Sombro
A boy turned to me in class and said
'I'm going to be an astronaut!'
But he thought not of rocketships
So I ignored him.

A girl turned to me and said
'I'm going to be a good person.'
And she smiled so
I believed her.

The adult turned to us and said
'I'm going to be your teacher!'
But she thought not of our minds so
I ignored her.

I turned to their backs and said
'I'm going to be something.'
And they saw nothing in my eyes so
They laughed.

I don't know where they are now, but
Many are not on their set roads, for
I would have seen them and
Walked with them hand in hand.
A little big headed perhaps, oh well.
