I’m looking for this girl
I didn’t hold her tight enough

She wore adventures on tattered jeans
And broken-in leather boots

She bore the sparkle of her mother’s eyes
And the intensity of her father’s gaze

Her skin the color of afternoons in soft haze
Softly scarred by summers and swings

The girl who suspended hours in moments
Whose touch only I am familiar
Whose embrace calmed my spirit

The girl with the perfectly crooked smile
That smelled of cinnamon and dandelions

She enchanted me with beautiful thoughts
Why didn’t I hold her tighter

Do not treat education as business.
They’re making millions off children
who reside in subsidized housing.

They're making millions off children
who ask mother "what's for dinner?"
even though it's 10:00 pm
and the lack of food in their stomach
has given them a hint as to what the answer is.

They’re making millions off children
who’ll end up dead or in jail before they’re 18.
If you don’t care or if you’re okay with that,
then just keep quiet.

Keep your opinions to yourself.
We’re all entitled to our own.
Quite frankly, I am not offended.
All I ask is that you don’t tell me
it's wrong to want change.

The education system in this country
is bound to fail many, but that does not mean
that I have to as well.
Do not tell me I can't cause change.

Moving On

It keeps on reminding her of him
So she burned it
And as it slowly turns into ashes
She feels the burning inside her heart too
suffocated by the pain
Of losing him.

She knows it would take
A lot of time
And courage
But hopefully
She can start anew.

That burning feeling
Will soon pass.
In time,
Her heart will recover,
She will be able to move on
And look ahead
For she believes
Something better is coming.

From experience,
I've realised that a
poem never changed anything.

someone hold me
hold the girl who can't be touched

someone talk to me
speak to the girl who never listens

someone remember me
recall the girl who deserves to be forgotten

someone love me*
love the girl who won't be able to love you in return
I'm a weird little freak
who wants all the things
I'm afraid of/can't have.

Is it possible
that there's someone
just as
broken as
me
out there
looking
for someone
to be
whole
with?
Just a thing.
I write a lot of short things.
I'm a lonely thing.
Looking for someone real.
Maybe someday I'll find them.
Hopefully before we both die.
That'd be prefered.

With Every Breath My Life Is Changed,
With Every Puff Of Smoke Exhaled,
Life Is Easier On The Other Side,
Don't Be Afraid To Run And Hide,
The Pain And Fear Just Goes Away,
All Behind The Glossy Haze,
The Powers It Has Oh My,
Those Powers Do More Than Just Amaze Our Eyes,
I Found Myself And You Can Too,
Just Pick Up The Pipe And Don't Feel The Blue.
This is a poem I wrote, expressing simple feelings and opinions.

The World Relies On What I Despise,
We Thrive On Its Soulless Power,
To Our Demise,
And We Hope To The Skies,
The End Of Its Mighty Hour,
Technology Will Fall So Fast,
And Most Of Us Won't Know What To Do,
As We Continue Thriving On The Past.
My opinion on technology as the world stands with it now.

In a world filled with changes
each and every day..

I feel I'm being judged
for what I do and say..

I remember back to toys
and play days at the park..

When I didn't worry about
other people's remarks..

Now looking in the mirror
I see to my surprise..

A completely different person
staring in my eyes..

The carefree little boy
I saw at 4 and 5..

Is now becoming a teen..
Just trying to survive...
