This tremble in my hands
and the aching in my muscles
but the taste of blood in my mouth
causes me no trouble

no defending
just attack
the taste of blood
the aftermath

this fight
I probably won
but the taste of blood
lingers on
Yes I had a fight at jujitsu so it was light contact but I hit myself by accident.
There is no blood in my body

You run through these veins now

And when you're gone

I'm drained completely
It's almost like I want to keep you tucked away in my shirt pocket
Not all the time but occasionally
Just on the days when their words are too sharp
Or when the mirror isn't kind

It's almost like I want to breathe you in
Your love and your warmth and your spirit
Everything that makes you lovely
Traveling along my bones, collecting in my fingertips
Purely you

I'm moving too quickly
My brain constantly set on fast forward with occasional rewinds
Just to stress over things I can't change
Let me know if it's too much
I hope you know how much I want you to stay

I cannot comprehend how lovely you are
Everything about you is like a dream
Bright eyes and dandelions
Soft skin and warm breath
You carry the kindness that this dull world needs
if     the    heat     is
giving     the      air
such humid kisses,
then    why     does
the   arctic   breeze
embrace   my  slim
bones   and   skin ?

summer nights
fairy lights
women rights
skinny tights
we ended up with
lovers' fights

plain as day
you took away
a sunshine ray
left me with
no words to say

feelings fade
a girl's parade
to hold her head high
and hide the mess you made
....

summer heat
pulsing in these veins
searing and revolting
emanating from the keyboard

radiating within
this hopeless romantic
charring the barren heart

but hope will suffice

the summer heat in her eyes..
it's gettin' hot in herr
We had that beach affair
That long night in summer air.
Your shoulders my heads resting place, your lips -my great escape.
But we both knew it wouldn't last

So heres to our past. That midnight summer love we can't grasp.
