You describe your eyes as hazel
but they are so much more
Your eyes are not merely a colour;
a shade ; a hue

Your eyes are the reflection
of a sunset upon the ocean
Your eyes are my favourite flower
blossoming a season too soon

Your eyes are the final firework
of a beautiful display
Your eyes are the reoccurring dream
that I will just never forget

Your eyes are the door to your soul
and the window to my hope
Your eyes are so much more
than hazel

I hadn't known of ink,
I therefore used my pencil that was pink,
I wrote in no blink,
For I was sure errors made my story stink,
I then cared less,as of now I think,
Maybe because my pencil had a rubber.

I wrote about our life
In mind were you,as my wife
it was love and I was careful
A promise of God made me fearful
In dear respect,i tried to keep you
Nowdays i choose to keep the ewe
I had planned to pay as dowry.

My handwriting for once wes appealing
I was writing about true love in the sealing
Life ahead was auspicious
I used a pencil not for being suspicious
My lack of knowledge saved me the begotten
Had i used ink i wouldn't have forgotten
The day you turned against my plans
So good were mine plans
The reason was real
You broke mine heart,I rubbed the deal.
I hope you will learn,
That you had my whole heart, for you had earned
But now you are history ,
And I really feel sorry.

I was different from the others,
Once I lived in a shell,
It was ok most of the time,
Till the thunder
It rumbled, then,
"PHEW"
It seeped in to the shell,
I learnt to hold my breath,
Then I stretched and
Crack,
Creak,
"WOW"
That first steps a big one!!!
I'll take the back door thank you,
As I waddle upon twigs and sticks,
"Mamma"
"Mamma"
"WOW"
What floor is this,

"Little one of feather and beak"
"You are twenty feet up"
"Any lower and we are cat feed"

Gulp as I looked over the edge down below.

"Now you were safe within your little shell"
"This is the wide world"
"Full of wonder but danger as well"

What are these things that hang from me mum,

"They are feather my little one"
"With these you will feel the wind beneath your feet"

Can I fly right now?

"No little one"
"You must learn to walk"
"Before air glides beneath feet"

Mother looked on with proud eyes as her little one
With small claws did try fumbled, fell,
But always got up.
Time passed a day or two, feathers dry
And feet were working too,

"Now little one are you ready to be free"
"To soar upon the winds up their"

"What mama"
"You want me to do what"

But I don't like heights,
I never go near the edge of the nest,
Like my bro and sister who have already taken flight.

"You must first conquer your fear"
"Let your heart breath free"

"I want to mamma"

"I believe in you son"

So with pride in heart and my mothers
Words in my mind,
I looked at the edge of twigs and leaves
I stepped forward, then back
Then remembered mama's words.

"You must first conquer your fear"
"Let your heart breath free"

And with that moment in mind,
I stepped,
Feathers out proudly as feet met air
And I opened my eyes
I was free.........
I was one with the wind and clouds
I had conquered my fears as mamma said.

"Soar high my little feather"
"You have made a mamma proud"

I heard her voice and tweeted with happiness
The ground was my fear, but the air was my freedom.
We must overcome our fears to fly free

I been meaning to ask you a question
But ever time we come face to face I become afraid
I begin to shake as if I'm freezing cold
My words become so scattered I just stare and give you this awkward smile
Then I would just run away soaking myself in my own tears
Thinking about pathetic I truly am
So this is me turning to my last resort
The only way I can truly communicate this with you
Okay here I go

The stars are beautiful wouldn't you say
The full moon as well
It reminds me of what it is like to be whole again
You know having both halves of a heart that was broken long ago
It really is my favorite past time
Well before I met you anyways
Recently the stars and the moon have been giving me the cold shoulder
After saying how much of an idiot I am
Telling me that I shouldn't be here

I would ask where should I be and they would just stare at me
Afterwards saying that I really am stupid
I remember thinking well that's not very nice, not realizing that it's true
I would then return to my room wondering what did they mean
Which caused me to think of you
Well I was always thinking of you
Then I realized I think in love with you
You see for some time I have been feeling this way
But I never knew how comprehend this sweet sensation

It would explain so much
How I became so nervous when with you alone
Always making these stupid excuses on why I had to go, I really do feel something for you don't I
But it just seems like every move I make I am just pushing you way
Like I really don't want to be near you
When the truth is it's the other way around
I never want to be away from you
I mean I love you
And I can't help to think that you feel the same way

You have such a beautiful smile ya know
To me that was your best physical feature
I purposely try my best to make you laugh
Making these corny jokes just to see you smile
I'm surprised you never caught on to that considering how smart you are
Because you really are smart
Sometimes you make me feel dumb
But I love that about you
I love everything about you

But anyways my question
ummm you see I was wondering
This...this is just a suggestion
But I was wondering if you would like to go on a date
Anywhere would be fine just as long as I'm with you
Well that pretty much sums it up
You know why I have been so distant and all
That's all I really I had to say
And I hope you just say yes

Sincerely,

Adam

The art of hiding doesn't come easily to me.
I'd rather be an open book
than one closed tightly with a bookmark.
I hate hiding how I feel.
I'd rather show the world,
whether they want to see it or not.
So I'll kiss your neck in chemistry
and I'll wrap my arms around your waist in history.
Let them see.
I'm not hiding anymore.
An old one, though some words have been changed

He found it in a box of things of days gone by
Took it out and loved it though it was old and missing an eye
He took it to his bedroom and tucked it into bed
He gave it his favorite pillow to rest its weary head
When I tucked him and saw my oldest childhood friend
I was torn inside of memories of days that had to end
I took it from its resting place and hugged it to my heart
Tattered and ragged I tried my best to fix its broken parts
A new eye and some sutures, fixing all its wounds of old
I tucked it back inside the sheets so it wouldn't feel the cold
When he awakened in the morn, he came running in to me
Holding up the teddy bear who was fixed miraculously
I told him that it was my very best buddy when I was a child
And asked if I could hold it once, for just a little while
I told him how his eye was lost thanks to a neighbors dog
And how I dragged him through the woods chasing hopping frogs
And then he said how he was fixed all like magic overnight
And I said that's because he found a friend to hold him tight
So now he has my bestest bud from seeming eons past
And he was healed in loving arms of a new friend meant to last

In black and white across the screen
The sun, peeks over the mountainside
The bright white orb shines through the black leaves
The sky in light gray
And it's the dawn of a new day
One picture snapped on a whim
And hope is caught on the horizon
The camera blinks in time with perfection
Emotion caught on a breeze
A view into the soul of the man behind the moment
There is peace in this place
A picture, a snapshot of insight
An infusion of peace
And the smile on the face of a stranger looking at a screen

Foggy days in absentia
Caught in the ripples of a memory
The sparkling bay laps the sand
Soaking in the love
Tanning in the brightness of a smile
Living behind closed eyes
Where the heart is full
And the soul lives with its mate
In that bliss, glowing red
That is where eternity continues
Bliss found in a gaze
Perfection in a kiss
sigh, foggy days in absentia

Sugar sand beaches reach the horizon
Water so far it is naught but a glimmer in the distance
Sitting in the warmth of that powder-like earth
The sun seems to set over a desert
Purple and pink in smoking swirls of Heaven
Sopping up the beauty in open pores
Ready to receive all that is offered
Watching the sun begin to slumber
As Luna's light begins to shine in bulbous splendor
The glimmer seems to twinkle as brightly as the stars as they awaken
Multiplying by the moment
Mesmerizing, as the lights seem to grow
The air changes, a little cooler now
The sand turns to black glass glistening in the moonlight
Slowly taking over the horizon
Watching the twinkling onyx reflect the night sky
Almost hypnotized by the melodic whisper
The only evidence of life within the breezeless air
As black meets gray, the warmth of the water glides further
Swallowing the shore inch by inch
Blanketing all as it comes upon its farthest outstretched reach
Bathing in the warmth of black water,
Stippled with the most brilliant twinkling reflections
Wrapped in the heat of the night
Consumed by the darkness, by the stars, by the very heat of the earth
Slowly, deliberately, the water rises
Basking in the beauty of a sea that came to greet all who care to notice
As the ripples and waves wash over the footprints
Erasing the day and birthing it anew
The moon smiles its bright smile
The sand swims by unseen
And the stars shine like the brightest diamonds
in the light of the moon
