"Como poderá um jovem conservar puro o seu caminho?
Observando a tua Palavra(a palavra de Deus)."

I sat down and began to pray: "O Heavenly Father, holy is thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Please heed to my words of prayer, Lord, and grant your lowly servant the grace she needs to serve you faithfully. Wash me from my sins, O Lord, and clothe me in righteousness for your name's sake. Thank you, my God, for hearing my prayer. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen."

There is peace surrounding the man and woman of prayer.

Discipline- we need the discipline to become consistent in our prayer life, but above that, we need God's unfailing grace to help us commit ourselves to Him.

God loves us beyond our imagination. He holds us in His hand day and night. He keeps us from sinning and away from the path of destruction, all because He loves us and because we have chosen to love Him back (1 John 4:7-12).

I want to encourage you to take some time from your daily life and dedicate it to the Lord, spend it in prayer, and in reading His word. Your spirit will be at ease resting in his presence.

I wish...
Claudia Santos Mar 2021
I wish I wasn't dull,
Without flavor.
I wish I had more hunger to live, to persue the call in my soul.
I wish I had more to give,
More dept to the way i love others,
A selfless mindset,
A less broken heart.
I wish I wasn't this messed up.
I wish...

A Prayer #2
Claudia Santos Mar 2021
I’m uncertain of what to make out of my life, I have so many dreams and goals, but they all seem to be at a distance right now- they almost feel unattainable.
I seek you, Lord, for counseling, for clarification, for wisdom, and insight. Guide me, O Lord, for I do not know what to do next. Please help me, O heavenly Father, for I am trusting you.

A Prayer #1
Claudia Santos Feb 2021
Deliver me O Lord,
from the desires of my selfish mind.
Deliver me O Lord,
from the recklessness of my defiled heart.
Deliver me O Lord,
or I won’t survive.

Depression
Claudia Santos Feb 2021
You are swimming in the void
gasping for air, surrounded by utter darkness.
You stop swimming, and you begin to float.
Waves of hopelessness slowly take you to the shore of your heart;
now you must face your fears
and slay the monsters in your head.
I know you think you can’t do it
but I'm telling you, you can.

Depression is like being at war within yourself:
It is a mental battle, a hard one to fight
but not an impossible one,
for you have been made in the image of God
and with God, the battle is already won.

I know you feel like you’re alone
but God has been here all along
patiently waiting for you to put your trust in Him, and swim out of that black hole.
He alone has the power to help you carry on.
God is your only way out:
He is the light in the darkness;
the life in your bones;
He is the reason you're still alive.
Call on Him now,
and watch how He so carefully and beautifully mends your broken soul
giving meaning to the pain you had to endure.

He saved me,
and He can save you too.

Oblivious
Claudia Santos Feb 2021
My stomach twists and turns
every time I see you staring down at your phone screen
as I’m trying to conversate with you
but you don’t dare look up at me,
probably because you don’t care about what I have to say
your phone is more interesting...

My Childhood Dream
Claudia Santos Feb 2021
As the early morning sun is peeking
behind the mountains in my backyard,
I begin to romanticize a day where I do not doubt,
a day where I do not indulge in self-sabotage,
a day where I believe I am capable of achieving my childhood dream.

I am the poetry that I write
Claudia Santos Feb 2021
I am a poet,
or I like to call myself one.
My heartaches and heartbreaks give life to empty pages;
I rarely compose from glorious days.
I’m inspired by the world, by people around me
but mostly by my pain.
I consider myself an introvert
for you will rarely hear me speak,
but on the other hand, I have much to say
just not with my lips
but with a pen.
I hide behind ink and paper
ready to write my feelings away.

I am the poetry that I write.
