For you,
I shall wave away that which clouds your sight.
In the ocean of the sky,
you glow ever so bright,
casting warmth over ice.
Existence orbits around your light.
I may lack radiance,
but you glow so effortlessly,
shining through my moon.
You're bright enough for the both of us.
what is the moon without the sun?

Two pools of brilliant blue,
parallel oceans.
Two identical reflections,
my insignificance among your wonder.
Infinite bright flecks,
stars floating.
One moon,
centered eclipse.

And the sky cries tears of sorrow as it becomes more evident every sundown that it will never unite with the ground.

I closed my eyes to the ocean of your eyes,
only to open them
to the drought of your absence.

We think we're saving us.
Saving humanity
through
technology.
Convenience we think,
is of utmost importance.
And through that very convenience,
we lose ourselves.
True intelligence
in trade for
the artificial.
The greatest feats of humanity
imitated in mere seconds.
Art.
Literature,
Paintings,
Expression,
All consumed
by the raging desire
for convenience.
How much further must we fall
before realization
strikes the tree of ignorance,
revealing its roots
that bleed with the ink of true creativity?
a.i. is a tool, not a replacement for everything human.

I breathe air through lungs,
strained from cries.
Laugh through a mouth,
master of lies.
Look at you with eyes,
mirrored pain.
And still I wonder how
I lost you
by loving you.
Ironic?
Understatement.
I thought it saving
you
thought it hiding.
Maybe you were right,
maybe there is no
burden
in love.
maybe i should've shared mine with you.

You hurt in the way guitar strings bite into my fingertips.
after i haven't played in a while and the callouses have long faded.
