Stargazing Solo
Ariana Solo Dec 2020
The eyes that burn with passion and the flames of comets

Watched as the death of a star gave birth to a wish

She was in solitude, a grain of sand in the expanse of the universe

Wishing for warm company that she'll never find on the icy planet

It witnessed big bangs and supernovas of multiple relationships

It was the dawn and also twilight of my poetic creations

Is it a coincidence that its cover is a map of unkown constellations?

The Fault In My Stars

I miss the way I used to find diamonds in the night sky

The simplicity of finding an escape into a parallel universe

Where even the atoms contained an element of poetry

I'd go back there if it wasn't for the fault in my stars

Passage Of A Poetess
Ariana Solo Nov 2020

To a destination where pen craft can be mastered with finesse

Poetry, the liberation of expression, a treasured human right

If only the pluperfect words would find their way to the poetess

Total Eclipse Of The Mind
Ariana Solo Nov 2020
Once upon a time all my stars have aligned
But now I'm only feeling confined
There's nothing I can write
A total eclipse of the mind

Once upon a time the stars used to remind
But now there's no more words I can find
Nothing I can write
A total eclipse of the mind

๐ŸŒ˜ ๐ŸŒ˜ ๐ŸŒ˜ ๐ŸŒ˜ ๐ŸŒ˜
Inspired by Bonnie Tyler's

"Total Eclipse of the heart"

Once upon a time I was falling in love
But now I'm only falling apart
There's nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the heart

Once upon a time there was light in my life
But now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart

Writer's Block ๐Ÿ”ฎ
Ariana Solo Nov 2020
The simplicity of its complexity is the divine uniqueness of writer's block

The mind is a locale where inspiration and luxuriant words seldom interlock

Wandering along a forlorn, tenebrous path with no end objective like a sleepwalk

Perhaps it's an alternative door into the sanguine future that I seek to unlock?

๐Ÿ”ฎ ๐Ÿ”ฎ ๐Ÿ”ฎ ๐Ÿ”ฎ ๐Ÿ”ฎ
Writer's blockย is a condition, primarily associated withย writing, in which an author loses the ability to produce new work or experiences a creative slowdown. This loss of ability to write and produce new work is not a result of commitment problems or the lack of writing skills.[1]ย The condition ranges from difficulty in coming up with original ideas to being unable to produce a work for years. Writer's block is not solely measured by time passing without writing. It is measured by time passing without productivity in the task at hand.

๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿ”ฎ

Divine - delightful

Locale - place where something happens

Luxuriant - rich

Forlorn - abandoned

Tenebrous - dark

Sanguine - optimistic

๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿ”ฎ

I'm not looking for attention, I'm looking for the meaning of my words which I feel I've lost
.........
Maybe I've lost my ability to write
..........
Maybe I should I stop altogether
......
Or maybe I'll unblock my writer's block?

Be cautious if you have crossed a poet's path and be more cautious if you cross a poet's heart

For you and the poet's love will forever live in the pages of the poet's poems, you will inspire the poet's art.

You have the right to remain silent for each of your word, or even action, will forever be remembered and could be written about.

Do comprehend the responsibility of being a poet's litirerary innovation,
carefully choose your route.

After we die
We all become stories

Stories of our failures
Stories of our glories

After we die
We all become a memory

Memory stored in a treasury

After we die
We all become a poem

Earth we will roam
But we shall never return home

After we die
We all become alive

We will all survive
And in the new kingdom we'll thrive

I couldn't tell you what I've learned in Maths,
Not the logs, not the line, not the stats.

I couldn't understand the numbers, that's true,
But in that class I fell in love times two.

A class so unbearable, difficult and absurd,
But I looked forward to it like the biggest nerd.

Electricity in the air, the wink of an eye,
Solving algebra and calculating Pi.

Nothing stayed in my brain, not a single fraction,
The only rule that I've learned is the rule of attraction.

Copy filled with theorems,
And heart full of poems.

I couldn't tell you what I've learned in Maths,
Not real life problems, not division not stats.

I've learned how to love a class that I hate,
Until our next meeting, I really can't wait.

Love ๐Ÿ˜
Ariana Solo Sep 2020
Love was just a word until I met you...

With you, I haven't "fallen" in love,

I walked willingly into your life

And love was no longer one word, it was a set of encyclopaedias

That I will never get to read
Ariana Solo Sep 2020
Walking into a room, I'd spot you straight away.
Now I do the same but instantly look away.

That day, I felt your presence at the end of the hall.
I walked on by but I was amazed to hear a call.

"Wow is that the girl you broke up with over there?"
I grinned, swayed my hips and flipped my hair.

I was pleasantly met with whistles and cheers.
I was proud about how great I looked in front of his peers.

"That ex of yours, she looks pretty, no?"
"Shut up, be quiet, I don't want her to know!"

Right there and then, I knew I ate your heart out.
I looked so well, you couldn't resist checking me out.

You wanted to hurt me, leave me in your past.
But look at me now, who's laughing last.

You see us two talk, I like him a great deal more.
I can feel that you're watching, I can feel that you're sore.

You didn't expect me to look pretty, move on.
It's your loss not mine, you lost, I won.

I ran off with a smile and a stitch.
That day you've learned, that karma is a *****.

A Real Poet ๐Ÿ“œ
Ariana Solo Sep 2020
A real poet uses their tears for ink.
Their broken lives they use to think.

Create stories of real pain.
The best poets are the most insane.

Stops and thinks about what to write next.
Thinks long, like about an unanswerable text.

Pen with a sharp tip, like a knife blade.
The knife that stabbed their back, memories don't fade.

Pages as smooth as all the lies they've heard.
Imagination as free as a solitary bird.

The feelings bleed out from the open cut.
Poems can leave a sick feeling in your gut.

A simple poem, a single verse.
Could be a blessing, could be a curse.

— The End —
