You're here by cordially invited to my suicide
Please, RSVP to the homicide
Don't be late to the genocide
And make sure that you bring your own cyanide
I take the adrenochrome
And I realize
We are all the thoughts we chose to let out and our scrapped ideas that we could of been fly away

And now I'm left here with ***** thoughts and dishes
Dreams and wishes
Die from the inside
It's never easy

Dig me a shallow grave
Your regret is deep
A life might of been saved
The guilt is your's to keep
Caffeine, nicotine, THC, LSD it's all the same to me
They keep me going, going
Gone

Piercings and ashes
I can see the sun and the moon all at once
I know I'm guilty
Allow me if you will
Oh, what else can I do?
At least let me tie my own noose

I think I lack a life
And feel dead from the neck up
But it's easy to see
I don’t give a ****

No
No
No

No motivation
Just constipation
Mostly
*******
Pay no attention
To my frustration
Breaking my concentration

I can't find a job
Must admit I don’t look hard
I wanna fix my ways
But I don’t know where to start

No
No
No

No motivation
Just constipation
Mostly
*******
Pay no attention
To my frustration
Breaking my concentration

I'm evil
I'm twisted
My train ride
I  missed it
I wanna
Get better
I'm writing
This letter

Dear reader,
I can't get outta my own way
And I have nothing to say
About the person I am
But help me if you can
Or maybe I shouldn't change why should I rearrange
I like who I am
So ******* man

No
No
No

No motivation
Just constipation
Mostly
*******
Pay no attention
To my frustration
Breaking my concentration

The army brat has come back
He whistles a whirling tune
And speaks of charms and amulets
He gambles and always wins somehow
You can now tell he's feeling free
Hiding behind witty sarcasm
He couldn't care less

Let's agree to disagree
And understand that we have a misunderstanding

The ornament doesn't care much about her appearance
Just about her performance on the playing field
She rides her boards goofy-footed
Always making plans with Mary Jane
Building Rube Goldberg Machines
Cleaning up after Pavlov's dogs

Let's agree to disagree
And understand that we have a misunderstanding

They can't get out of their own way
Brushed hair, combed teeth with two different shoes on
Suffering from ADD
But demand perfection
Refuse to bend or break
Don't let them latch on and bring you down with them

Let's agree to disagree
And understand that we have a misunderstanding

We're flip-flop-waffle-minded people
Who can't make heads or tails of signs and labels
Who are aware of the bad blood between some
Unintentionally manipulating and deceiving one another
We're on the third pitch, let's not miss it
But even if we do, we look good doing it in style
When we make exclusive appearances

Let's agree to disagree
And understand that we have a misunderstanding

We were promised the land of milk and honey
But we've made mindless dribble and front running our bread and butter
You can tell they've filtered out all ingenuity as soon as you walk into the gallery
The Pine Barrens wilt
The Polar Ice Caps thaw
And all precious metals become worthless in the eyes of spice rack collectors
Religious rites
And the evil dimples of ****** misconduct between priests and alter boys
Frivolous ramparts made of humming body parts that suffered a downhill slippage in the pecking order

Poetry written in chalk on the diaphanous walls of the abandoned plaza near the villa by the beach

"The surge of powerhouse blood thirst caught in the door jam under the arch is asked to double back unhurried as the shops are dipped in ivy"

Now go ahead into the mist
Tearing eyes and bleeding wrists
Along with your unfinished list
The point you missed
Into the mist

Morning’s bright but filled with guilt
Ulterior motives have built
The flowers wilt
No summer rain
Winters pain

Inform me when freedom starts
Off the streets and in our hearts
Emotion and thought tear me apart
I’m so lost in thought
No war was fought

The diamond’s head is being cracked
A time too fast
The odds are stacked
A feeling that grabs your mind
But you know you're fine

Reformation
Concentration
Discrimination
Segregation
Just a human rat race
Denied, denied
My passion gone
I cried, I cried
My whole life long
Mine

They trample on our men
And leave us in turmoil
There is no wind
The smoke lingers

Oh eagle fly high
Get away
Away from your once proud home

Neo played the violin
When they burned Rome

Not I
I can lead
Bold ideas
I know what I must do
Mine

My hatred
My blame
Put upon the stain
The stain on the beautiful white canvas

Take away
Dignity
Hope
Rip their homes apart

From the ghetto to the train
From the train to the gates
From the gates to annihilation
Yes

No
Fall back
Push forward
We shall not fall
My land
My world
This is the attempt that will end my reign
They won’t get the best of me
They lived in fear of me
And she’s coming with me
It is mine

First, there was infinity
Out of infinity came darkness and light
Which were divided into night and day
The light of day gave birth to the sea, the sky and the earth
The darkness of night gave birth to more

It began with doom
Which brought death
Caused by disease and old age
After living  life of suffering
Suffering from pain, mockeries and lies
Lies told by fakes who used illusion
Illusions to cause discord and fights
Fights that ended in war, ****** and ruin
From the ruins came misery
And from that misery came starvation
Which caused plundering and deceit
Deceit showed the way to defilement
The defilers began to harvest pride
The pride lashed out harsh criticisms
Those criticisms caused obsessions to destroy blemishes and defects
The path to doing so lead to lawlessness until all that was left was the choice to forget all that had happen or place the blame somewhere
It was inescapable

Yet, all of that was only half of what spawned from infinity

The light of day beared the sky, sea and earth
Encompassing them was time and nature
Time held possibilities
Possibilities to create
To create life
Life full of love
Love full of live
And yes, each fate is the same
Death
The start, the length of each life and the eventual end
But each destiny differs
Nature
The ebbing and flowing of order
The force coming from infinity
Binding all living things
To heal and to bestow gifts
Gifts of guidance
Of peace and truth
Truths that speak of joy and undeniable beauty
Encouragement and relief

But what is it that separates the two?
Keeping this world in proper balance?
The answer is us.
Look within yourself and see the infinity you hold
Destroy it
Then create anew

If tomorrow never comes
It wouldn't make a difference
I know
It wouldn't make a difference at all

Must break these restraints
This isn't fair
Abandoned
Betrayed

Mine
The Sandman has given me a bed to make and sleep in
Why oh why? Release me
Unleash me
Unhand me
Remand me
Yahweh
Win some
Lose some
Great rich misfortune
Decayed withered family tree
Shambled moral poverty

Great
Hemlock
Archaic Apothecary
Toxic apple
Petrushka, Punch and Judy
Enunciate
Look at the pale reflection

**** my parturition
**** my ruination
Father, tomorrow may never come
Move forward from this lie
I must be on my way
I feel it weighing down on me
Shot nerves
It's here, times up

Get on with it, it doesn't make a difference
If it all ends today
I'm sorry
I wasted what you've given me
For a moment of weakness

You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time
I deserve this, not your compassion
Look deep in my eyes
There is no way out of this
Illusion of existence

You know the cool advancements over the moon, you are self aware, you have locked the castle and you have the key
You are alive, but are you living?
New definitions of omnipotence
Add-ons to mythology and legends
Commemorate the mirages from our travels in the blazing desert
The rage is shaking Torrent Mountains
Our love is somewhere lost at sea
We’re being relocated to skid row by jubilant cherubs
Seminal Neanderthals are steadily cupping their hands to somehow try and avert their chances of getting short changed
We are living in the faded age
The sun is a soggy cancerous being
Nihilistic brigades pour out on to the bleak playing field and its side lines
Preserving the first shots on the non-guilty
Spiddles of blood on the adrenaline fuels catalyst of violence
The crickets and aphids are gassed
Birth, life, death, after life or after death
Forgo this bluff of nothingness, of course there's more
You go first into this quest; for the clarity that shatters the idea of our precipitous finales

You’re something I can’t believe
Hey there angel, no please go on
I’m so blind I should’ve known
You’d take away all my loneliness
And this is something I can’t help but to confess

My brain melts whenever you’re around
So much to say but I can’t make a sound
You’re my addiction, my only vice
I can’t believe what I see

I can’t believe you’re real
Brighter than the sun
Make my heart skip a beat
I’ve waited for so long

It runs through my head repeatedly
The idea of you just wanting me
And have someone I can call mine
I can’t keep this feeling inside

I never had this feeling before
A girl of such great candor
Your utter being mystifies
You know I just can’t believe
I can’t believe you’re real
Brighter than the sun
Make my heart skip a beat
I’ve waited for so long

Shake my world
Please be my girl

I never had this feeling before
A girl of such great candor
Your utter being mystifies
You know I just can’t believe

I can’t believe you’re real
Brighter than the sun
Make my heart skip a beat
I’ve waited for so long

I’ve known you for quite some time
Who could have known?
I had no idea you be mine
I always hoped

I can’t believe you’re real
Brighter than the sun
Make my heart skip a beat
I’ve waited for so long

The question of “what am I doing?” resonates in my empty noggin
And an answer is never thrown back

Only more questions
Are set free on to me
Doubts, second guesses, negative thoughts
Worrisome regrets and guilt

Attempting to see how I feel after the bomb dropped and left me scorched and nearly dead

My attitude towards it have changed
I didn’t want it to
But the explosion has made my vision of the truth I once held dear too blurry

No, no nothing has changed only my place of input
It is still true
But is it right?
Is this where I should be?
The skepticism marches in

I thought so last time
I was naïve and blinded by emotion

But are emotions what drive me?
What makes me human?
Why am I using logic now?
Because I’ve been hurt

No, no, no I won’t let the mushroom cloud shroud and elude my feelings

Ah, but look backing during the final stage I was tormented night and day

Okay so logic is good
As is emotion

Emotional logic?
Logical emotion?

If the logic makes me feel confident in my feelings and if my feelings appear to make rock solid sense then all is well

Nostalgia, shame and all that from before now gone

But they’ll come back like always

But now I have tools to fight them

You need the fight; it keeps you aware and always going

I'm not going to the pizzeria today
Hell no, I'm not going to that pizzeria today
To go in and scrub the dishes
The bleach is burning my skin
And insect crawling on the food
While my time is just wasting
I refuse to wash another bin or tray
I'm not going to the pizzeria today

I'm not going on that sinking ship today
Forget that, I'n not getting on that sinking ship today
We have a sushi place across the street
Another pizzeria two doors down
They also own the bagel shop between us
And when bakery opens, I won't be around
I'm sorry, but I certainly can't stay
I'm abandoning this sinking ship today

I'm resigning from this bad business today
That it, I'm done with this bad business today
The boss ignored the IRS for months
They came, emptied the registers and shut us down
Sometimes there's no money in the bank
So every now and then all our checks bounce
I work for six ours for $8.25, I expect to get paid
That's it I've had it with this bad business today

I'm giving up on this lost cause today
Yes, I'm giving up on this lost cause today
It fell apart when they switched hands
Two parents bought it for their sons
And they plowed it into the ground
One's on coke and the others just dumb
When they're parents come in they have nothing to say
I'm giving up on this lost cause today

I'm not going into work today
I can not go into work today
Where the employees could care less but still try their best
And the boss act like two year old
Where we get bi weekly pay and everyday is slow
And the pizza in the case is cold
I'm giving in my two weeks notice and going on my way
There is nothing that can make me go to that godforsaken pizzeria today

I am a demon within the meek and fatally wounded
There is no innocent blood
All that is spilled is the red liquid of sin
Killing is no joy but a necessity
But all is well
For we are all mad after all
Let us dissect our insanity
Puncture the jugular of fear
Feral children’s muffled cries for mercy
We’re all in on it
Hypnotic insomnia
Open eyed moonlit wanderings
Spectating the impending doom is the ever diligent, all knowing entity
We’re all on the clock
The chopping block
Alone and startled
Exercising the eternal devourer of souls
The flesh of Beelzebub
The ones from under the bed, in the closet within your head
With the expressionless faces and evil eyes
The omnipotent offspring who has visions of the undead
Urging it to join
A noose, how romantic
Lovingly and creatively carving out your innards
Neglect was the cause for this uproar
And now no one’s safe
Next in line to be spat out of hell
Laughing
Laughing, whispering what little they can
Piecing together fragments of the soul
Brain bashing nightmares and legendary agony
Squealing sacrifices from burning webbed chambers of torture
The tearing your skin
Flowing of tears
Followed by the pursuit of death and its arrival
It’s here
Tommy Johnson Dec 2013
She thought the van was her tomb
Thought she’d see the end inevitable soon
Fears brought tears then she was consumed
Something began to grow inside her womb

So let’s start
They started talking and quickly became friends
It wasn’t smart
Because he took her innocents
There she lay
Defiled and ******, tell me is this the end?

And she carried me
And took care of me
And then buried me with her shame

So what do I do?
**** it in the emergency room
Lose it in a confessional booth
Didn’t want to give it up to you
Wasn’t one life you ruined but two

It began as a coffee date
Turned into a newsworthy ****
Driven by rejection and pent up hate
It was so brutal that it made the front page

And her cries were fallen on deaf ears
Followed her the rest of her years
Plunged into her deepest darkest fears
No pity only sneers

And she carried me
And took care of me
And then buried me with her shame

So what do I do?
**** it in the emergency room
Lose it in a confessional booth
Didn’t want to give it up to you
Wasn’t one life you ruined but two

She wrote her final chapter
She looked right into me
She looked at the gun in her hand
It seemed so friendly

And with the gun in hand
She put it to my head
She shut her blood shot eyes
And said her final goodbyes
And pulled the trigger
Mother?

And she carried me
And took care of me
And then buried me with her shame

So what do I do?
**** it in the emergency room
Lose it in a confessional booth
Didn’t want to give it up to you
Wasn’t one life she took but two

A capacious fallout shelter in the Arctic
We have survived the blast
But our rations are depleted
The sublimation of the crazed hunger that is obvious to everyone
I have lost
Tempting as a cool crystal fountain
Enticing as willing women with legs spread
As luring as a treasure of golden bars
I’m sorry my friends
I will never be forgiven for this

What happens when law is lawless?
When unscrupulous hoodlums demolish your flawless teeth
When your home is ransacked of all your worldly possessions
And the people you know and care for are dead and gone

As God's voice mail box fills with unanswered prayers
And love is no longer enough
While people are to frightened to bring children into the world
What can you do?

Start the surge, the purge of hopelessness
Flush the lines of despicable crimes against humanity
Fill the house with meaningful moral projections

Be a God and open the lines and lend a helping hand
To those who need a shoulder to cry on
Rebuild the world with learned lessons and logical ethics
Would you?
Tommy Johnson Mar 2014
Double edged sword
You gave them your word
Not a necessity
But a possessive desire
Got burnt by the fire
But it felt so good

Doing new things you’ve never done before
Inhibitions released and spirits soar
New trails being blazed and opened doors
Then the question come up, what you really here for?

When they’re happy it’s because they love you
When they’re ***** it’s because they wanna *******
When they’re mad all they wanna do is diss you
And when they’re sorry it’s because you got a shoulder to cry on and sympathetic tissues

And the situations can be reciprocal
As you put each other on that pedestal
You try to fit in each other’s schedule
And be together in the time residual

Sometimes you wanna **** them
Then you look back at the times when
You used to think they might have been heaven sent
And made changes and sacrifices as if every day was Lent

The break up
The make up
The forgiveness ****
All that nonsense for what?

To get your blood boiling
Just part of everyday mortal coiling
Suffer in the pain just toiling
Just forget about it blow it off its just annoying

You talk about kids, a house and a family
During a late night-early morning talk over some coffee
Thinking about the future is interesting
But you can’t predict so just wait and see

Then you got that real drama
Like a ******* soap opera
Know when it’s coming it ain’t ever a shocker
Just keep your mouth shut to keep good karma

Double edged sword
You gave them your word
Not a necessity
But a possessive desire
Got burnt by the fire
But it felt so good

Thinking they’re gonna be the death of you
But it doesn’t matter when it’s just them and you
In bed getting close making moves
Not caring letting loose with nothing to prove

Because you both know about that ***
That it’s just the best
When you ain’t gotta worry what comes next
And all the dramatic and arguments can be put to rest

All the jealousy
Emotionally
Devotionally
Taking its toll you see

Misunderstandings
Demanding
Reprimandings
Seeing where you’re both standing

This whole time I’ve been talking about you and I
You’re the only thing take makes me aware that I’m alive
The reason I survive
Every day with you on my side

So stop with the opposition
I got one mission
No compromising positions
So look me in the eye and listen

I love you
I hate you
I need you
I want you

I don’t know what’ll happen today
And tomorrow’s too far away
We're way past yesterday
I guess what I’m trying to say is

All that matters is you and me
And all that we can ever be
Is loyal and honest to the highest degree
And try to take it one step at a time rationally
And walk hand in hand through our clandestine destiny

Double edge sword
I gave you my word
She got the best of me
I’m no liar
So cut me, slash me
I’d die for her
Tommy Johnson Mar 2015
My suspicion
Intercepts
Your deception
I don’t believe

Don’t call me paranoid
Because I see through your lies
No I'm not a skeptic
I'm just not dumb and blind

You'll never have my trust
I'll never confide in you
My faith was just sentenced to death
It's still hanging from the noose

My suspicion
Intercepts
Your deception
I don’t believe

Put your trust in no one
Then you'll never get hurt
Put it all in yourself
And see what its worth

I don’t believe in you
Someone I can't rely om
Your stories are fiction
So it makes me uncertain

Used to give people my trust
Then they'd throw it all away
Bought too many bridges
That’s why I hesitate

My suspicion
Intercepts
Your deception
I don’t believe

Put your trust in no one
Then you'll never get hurt
Put it all in yourself
And see what its worth

I don’t depend
I just doubt
The flames been
Blown out

My suspicion
Intercepts
Your deception
I don’t believe

Put your trust in no one
Then you'll never get hurt
Put it all in yourself
And see what its worth

Now is the start
We’ve gone apart

This is a start
On your mark, fresh start

You will be okay, you're smart
Please be strong and stay on your guard
Going separate ways, return eachother's hearts
Hit the eluding bulls eye, stay sharp

Now imagine and see
How happy we can be
When no one has to lead
And never need anyone again
Our souls are not condemmed

Now I promise I’m sane
The time we kissed in the rain
Sensual pleasure, ****** pain

A thousand smiles, a single frown
Go further down the road
Paintings in the mausoleum
Even further down the road
Follow the coyote, follow him
The shallow lies that made you cry darling

The coyotes warm
Ripped and torn

Follow the coyote, he’s been so good to me
Head north, tread east
Paradise, pandamonium and a good nights sleep

I’d runs in the woods
If I could
Run in the woods
If you would
Can you remember where you stood?

A boy sat and drank his milk, then went out and killed
******, stealing, fighting
He’d done it all

He went to the house where the old man lived
Came through the door

To the house where the old man lived
Threw him to the floor
He had done it all

And he wanted more
He felt no remorse, no shame to hide

“We have a new technique we can use to turn him into a member of society instead of a hoodlum”

“I was cured alright”

655321

Come on now follow us
Come on just follow us
Deep into the underbrush
Take your time, no time to rush

This is where it starts
Where we part

This is the start
So near so far from the start

You’re everything to me
But it’s not meant to be
Now we begin our lives
Where does the future lie?
At the start
Tommy Johnson Mar 2015
There's not a single thing
I can do
There's no way
Not a chance in hell
You’ll pull through

So just say your prayers
Don’t cry, don’t cry
Families forever
Try to remember, it will be alright

Children, your father's leaving
And he has sent me
To give this to you
A bit of reassurance
That you’ll be fine
You’ll be fine

I will talk with your mother
Oh what will I say?
It’s just too hard
Gotta find a way
I must be strong

Okay

I’m so sorry Mrs.
Take a seat
I can’t help but to pause
My mind has been breached

I let out a whisper
She falls to the floor
"He promised me forever
And that we would never ever
Leave me alone"

Come here Mrs.
Let it out
Let it out
Just breathe

There's not a single thing
I can do
There's no way
Not a chance in hell
You’ll pull through

So just say your prayers
Don’t cry don’t cry
Families forever
Try to remember, it will be alright

A family without a father
How that must feel
There's an empty seat
At every meal
I’m so sorry for you
So I cry

I walk back and look at him
He looks so peaceful
My my my
Under deaths magic spell
Oh what a life
Definitely
Greater than mine

He opens his eyes

The Packrat has morphed into a hoarder
I tried to removed the monkey in a suite off his back and put it in he barrel with the rest of them even though it wasn't my business, although I was its uncle

Get in

A quaint little bungalow
Where sweltering heat is a constant
"There's coffee on the back burner, ya want some?"

It was a blessing in disguise
A bona fide  slice of paradise

We read up on the complex of Oedipus Rex and the debate of moral fiber when talking about Ped Xing

We hopped on to a plane going to Pismo Beach and joined the mile high club then enjoyed clams on the half shell

We listen to a dollar fifty nickelodeon
And talked about how music is dead because everyone is just na na naing and yeah yeah yeahing their way to the top of the pop charts

Over a *** pie
I confessed my love
His rebuttal seemed abysmal to my sleeve dwelling heart

He said this was an unnatural habitat for him
And if we were to be together it would raise eyebrows
Tarnish his illustrious reputation

It was an unanswered prayer
After all the whatnots and whathaveyous
He got sick and died of AIDS about a year and a half later
He never came out

Dodged a bullet there on that one
Tommy Johnson Jan 2015
You and I are going to settle this score
Now that you've abandoned your special snowflake campaign
And overcome your Stockholm Syndrome

A dynasty has been created
The snowball's chance begins to take effect

The short order cook has taken a tall order
A citrus feast for a ship of marauders
To prevent scurvy

The  maitre d' disarmed them at the door
And allowed them to infiltrate the dining hall

The captain sat and twiddled his thumbs while his crew cut loose

The first mate drank fire water and shot it out of his nose

The quarter master ordered some fiddlesticks served on door glass

The boatswain ordered the insemination of a cow so he could eat the cow and all of its offspring
It was his first day eating meat again
He remembered his vegan salad days

The carpenter and ****** constructed a shrine of after dinner mints
And conducted a seance to talk to their old crew mate, Black eyed Ollie

He squandered his life searching the sea for a doctor to restore his sight
They planned to revive him and allow his spirit to possess one of them

And sure enough Black eyed Ollie entered the ******'s body and they took turns controlling the fleshy vessel
Black eyed Ollie got every day of the week that ended in "Y" and the  ****** got the rest

The filching crew of blighters finished their meal and went on their way
They left quite a tip
"Actions speak louder than words and money talks too
Yet talk is cheap
But time is money
So every burning second counts
Then let's freeze time
Take action and buy all the talk at whole sale price
And sell it at retail price"

So pay up man, I told you working here would be interesting

The quartet became a trio
The trio became a duet
The duet became a solo act
The first chair was ambidextrous
His hands worked as a duo
He called them Cain and Abel
They had great reflexes
He washed them with soap and water

He played in light houses
Night clubs
Tin Pan Alley

He sang about tapped phones
With a dead pan, dry humor
And dehydrated wit
To a room full of sugar daddies and their sugar babies
His music left them befuddled but hungry for more

He ate nothing but black bean brownies for weeks
Any tiny morsel of food he could find to survive
He wore a pork pie hat
And would always say "lather rinse repeat"

To him racism was a detestable invention of mankind
"Towel-head"
He cringed at that word

But when he got on stage at The Tree Trunk a moment of tranquility commenced
Tommy Johnson Jul 2014
How can you judge?
How can you count?
How can you perceive?
How can you know?
What it's like in a day of  life of another?

Different time zones
Zip codes
Regions and countries
Cycles
Circumstances
Hemispheres of women and men

Likes
Senses
Problems
Dislikes

Measurements
Of weight
Distance
Height
And time

But we all share a life force of love
Whether we embrace it or push it away
Is every individual's choice
And that is life

Season change
Time passes forward
We can only look back
But live in the now

Will this moment by mine, your's our last?
Plan
Remember
Savor
And hope

Learn
Feel
Absolve
Go on

Celebrate, commemorate and commend
The circle never ends
Have no enemies and make friends
There is no room for hate so re-amend

Look deep into the eyes of those who you share air
Look fondly into the soul of those who sip from the same cup
Overlook color
Disregard secular stigmas

Swap each other's shoes and run a mile
Then you can comprehend
You will know
What love and what life means

It's all  conspiracy
Idle hands are the Devil's playthings
I told you so
Remove the feeding tube
But not during the gestation period
By after the gastric bypass
And right before the insemination
Put the fault on the horse voiced gentry
And the perpendicular denominations
What's it to you?
You estranged neo-native
Counterfeit piety and disobedient estranged friends unnerve you
You act so factious
Deliberately making everything a joke
Ponder the trajectory of my fist to your glass jaw
And the brass knuckles to your abdomen
You'll want to get an iron lung when we're through
Maybe a respirator and a catheter
Now, go count your toenail clippings as the idle minds cast their votes for this referendum

Hello
What’s your name?
Where you from?
What do you like?
What do you hate?

I see
Tell me your story
I’m curious
So amaze me
You’re so pretty

Come on
Tell me your sign
You know
We got nothing but time
Don’t send me away
My interest is peaked
Make my day

So please
What’s your talent?
What can you do?
There’s got to be something
Maybe name a few?

Well now
I have no idea
Where this will go
I’m an inquiring mind
Wanting to know

Visually you’re pleasing
And my brain is twitching
From your teasing
Tell me what’s on your mind
Baby we got nothing but time

She never skips a micro-meal
She's familiar with her own late night solo acts
Reaching down, drenched nine fathoms deep

He's on the outside looking in
Slipping on his finger-less gloves
Hiding behind a smile as his feet take him
Somewhere dead

Over-stuffed mellow-dramatics
Prima Donas and drama queens

Its four o'clock I need, a pick me up
It's too early for this, I need my stuff
Oh, it's nothing, don't ask me what

It's time, time for my medicine
It's time, that time yet again
It's time, my habitual regimen

Soul subtraction brings me satisfaction
Eternal extraction gives me satisfaction

Security
Comfort
Vindication

Means to an end
All's well that ends well
I mean well
Well, ****

Deep inside my mind
Way back in my head
Somewhere in my heart
Is where the story starts
The shaking in my hands
My life all in a flash
The shivers down my spine
This is wear my sorrow lies

Our enemies on the ground
Our dreams coming true
Counting grains of sand
This is where it ends

Turn it up n let it go
Sit back and watch the show
Our three ring circus
You won't forget us

Tales of love and loss
Trying to make it
At any cost
Here we go

Helen of Troy is singing into a pantyhose pop filter
With her stereo-tone voice
She has a death wish
Chipped nails
Spellbinding rasp
And a ****** lisp
She takes her daily dose of Vitamin D and Composition B
She sings about what she sees
Severed heads chanting "freedom"
The industrial illusion
Dog eared and frayed pages of misspelled words
Cancer emitting devices causing problems for the ones on hold to be put on a sucker's list who can never seem to get a word in edgewise
But when you ask her what's wrong she just says "I don't wanna talk about it"
She goes on to collect bottle caps and pop tabs to bring to the fun fair
I hope to hell she isn't another spark set to ignite but just fizzles out

You live with eyes closed
Walk with an arrogant stride
You keep your hands clean
And your nose held high
There's a whole world screaming
But you just walk on by
And ignore the world's trouble
The burdens it bares
Because you dare not interfere
You ignore it because you're scared
It isn't your problem so you don't care

There's racism
And sexism all over the globe
Poverty, human trafficking
And still your shoulder is cold
Drug cartels, corrupt politicians
Murderous rapists without any souls
And you're just as guilty if I may be so bold
You just sit there and stare
Because you dare not interfere
You ignore it because you're scared
It isn't your problem so you don't care

You're busy chasing the American dream
A glorious promise riches and liberty
But the hand that feeds and you wanna shake is giving the bird to you
While it taxes our rights and confiscates our freedom of speech
And you take it like a ******* gimp
As it keeps our inspiration and aspirations out of reach
You should stand up and fight for what's yours
And I urge you to grow a pair
Because you dare not interfere
You ignore it because you're scared
It isn't your problem so you don't care

You have faith in the higher-ups
In our country, in God we trust
It's all a bust
You must protect your privileges
And help in our progression
Equality for and freedom
But you chose instead to be ignorant
And see a society and not a civilization

       -Tommy Johnson
Get a higher education
Go to school
Get a degree in something
No, don't be a fool
Milk the cash cow
Be a work mule
To find a job even with your doctorate
To find employment, is something rare

       -Tommy Johnson

But you dare not interfere
You ignore it because you're scared
It isn't your problem so you don't care

Terrorists instill a sense of fear
So we police the world
Oppress and occupy
Bullets, bloodshed and grenades are hurled
And back home we outsource
As history unfurls
A time of economic recession
And unjust warfare

And of course you dare not interfere
You ignore it because you're scared
It isn't your problem so you don't care

They tricked, murdered and ***** the natives
For all this land
You can say "you wouldn't be here if they didn't"
Well, I feel guilty for living here because they betrayed their fellow man
Then they had those of darker skin as slaves
The decision to free them caused both sides to **** each other
And in the end the chose to segregate
Tell me the equality in that there

Because you dare not interfere
You ignore it because you're scared
It isn't your problem so you don't care

People call each other *******,
*******, spics, chinks they say
A world that loves you if you got social status
But chastise you if your gay
But it's gotten so much better
Looking back on yesterday
But you haven't helped, you just go along
You're views are still parochial, and I'm giving you a disgruntled glare

Because you dare not interfere
You ignore it because you're scared
It isn't your problem so you don't care

You see no beauty in this world
It's like your not even a part of it
You have no idea whats going on around you
You only look out for yourself
You contribute nothing
No ideas
No creations
No light

You just leave the rest of us in darkness
To be destroyed by corruption, hatred, misunderstanding and doubt
While you become just another pawn
Another cog
Another customer
To be accounted for
You are just nameless number
People like you are the reason change takes so long
Open your eyes!

Blinded by iniquity
Being guided by unexplainable certitude
I can’t predict where the pieces will fall
But I will remember where they stood in the sky
They say I’m not at the point of grasping it all
Saying I’m a follower who needs to lead
I’m just attempting to find peace of mind
And a silent breeze of tranquility
I’ll still be there when the atmosphere fails
When widespread panicked screams break the barrier of sound
The cadence of the populations of hysterical cries match the racing beats of their hearts
I’ve tried hoisting my pressures and trouble over my head
And unburden myself of them
To put them in front of me instead
And dissect them all so I might comprehend
The hour glass goes against us
We have such ample time
So many paths we can walk
Full of laughs, pain and love, you take yours
I’ve found mine

Everyday you live is another social experiment
Live it with a grateful attitude
Gratitude
Play it by ear
Off the top of your head
Read the unwritten laws
And hear to the unspoken rules
Fair warning, they'll ask you to take sides
They'll take advantage of any soft spot they can find
People's lethal libidos
Off base orchestrations
Driving you up the wall
Repeating louder to instill their point
Tight knit cliques of fashion victims
Clever spoonerisms
Brutal braggarts
Do not let them get the best of you
With their slurred words
And blurred vision
I tell you this in confidence
You will have the last laugh and the last word
I know the past makes you tense
But if it's not your policy it's not your problem
Legend has it, time keeps you waiting
For your metamorphosis
To become your peacemaker

I know I haven’t much time
And everything you say I’ll keep in mind
I’ll ponder it on my journey home
Maybe I’ll forget all my woes

My eyes have seen the sun of tomorrow’s dawn
They have seen the witnessed yesterdays rights and wrongs
But for now I am tired so I yawn
My times expired and over drawn

Torpedoed decisions, a well needed rest is at hand
Plastered, what a bash looking back at it

Raw candor is necessary for this one

If any of you readers met me, you would not enjoy my company
You females may find me mad, over-amorous and devoid of any set moral standard
The men might perceive me as an arrogant, disgraceful chaser of impairment
By the end of this that shall all be proven true

I am blessed with a ****** appetite that can never seem to be appeased
And you are all cursed for living in the same world as me, for you are all on the menu
Men
And women
I'm not sorry
I want to touch you, lick you, **** you *******
And I will
If I have not already

I will love you
I will hate you
We can go for a drink or five
Have a smoke
Cigarette or joint?

Do not fight it
You are much too cautious
It's better to just go with it
Do not fret
We can go to the city
To a a restaurant
Dine and dash
We will rob a bank
Look at art
See a concert
Write a bestseller
Map out the ****** of one so deserving
Create a new belief, a new system of faith
All in one afternoon

But I'm warning you
Do not fall in love with me
Do not want me
Do not even look at me
I'm doing all this for I am bored and in need of a single-serving "friend"
I warn you
I only desire ***, excitement, experience and intoxication
Do not disappoint me
**** me well
And I will reciprocate
And every time you ****
And you ***
Whether with me or an other
Think of me because I live for and live in that feeling of complete satisfaction

There you go, a declaration of my personal itinerary
It is not decent
It is not humble
It is the truth
Unapologetic

The pain's agressed, all in due time
Seeping sinkholes, our pet peeves
Incorrigible succotash, your crows feet

Hard working father looks in the kitchen
And sees his son who he wants the best for
He wants his boy to become a man
To take everything life can give and even more
But the son has other things on his mind
Unintentionally slashes his father's dreams
To the father he's straying from the footprint path
But not everything is always as it seems

If it ain't broke how could you fix it?
Don't worry about all of your worries
One for all and all for one
Live fast die young, just have some patience

Mother loves her daughter so much
Tries to protect her from all that she can
The closer she pulls her the harder she'll push her
Both feel the other will never understand
But they know when they look deep in themselves the see each other
And after all the yelling and cursing they'll say "I love you" to one another

Somethings are easier said than done
And actions speak louder than words
When living with constant change
Get to know yourself, just take some time

We resort to name calling
When downloading and installing
Upload then uninstall
The preambles to the pitfalls
The hostile hospitality
The aromatic pheromones
But memories who've reprise their roles
And take *** shots and low blows
Overlook the unturned stones
Overgrown baby's scared
Student loans and ingrown hairs
They have an eye-witness
So they come for a search and seizure
Drastic times call for drastic measures
I mean it when I say you're really a treasure
Made of cubic zirconium and pewter
I can't confirm or deny
If it's all according to plan
And I'm inclined to decline
I just may just to your dismay
Or I plum forgot
Because I've lived my whole life with my head in a sling
I discourage the disparagement of  releasing disclose information
But speak of the devil
I almost missed it
This is my own theme song so you all better get ready to sing

The piper's come to collect
Do you wish to go farther or further?
"I will take time to restore chaos and order"
Everything will be fine in the morning, so do yourself a favor and relax

A robust, full bodied cup of coffee
The resounding zeros and dated euphemisms
The criminal and large and I sitting
He has something to say I tell him to spit it out
He says he knows I'm holding out on him and tells me to cough it up

I adhere to his demand and pull out my rucksack and empty it out on the shellacked table

Cream of tartar
Cumin
Cloves
Bay leaves
Clovers
Ginger
Mustard seeds
Anise
A plethora of extracts and Madagascar vanilla bean

I give in because this guy has a murderous track record nine miles long
While I have a lifelong loosing streak
I dare not try and petition him with defiant excuses and off the hook tones

He needed these things to prepare a meal for his dying father
He suffers from hangnails and trend followers
As his son follows a dark path that is a far cry from a path that will lead to a career

The criminal gathers the vials of herbs and spices with tears in his eyes and goes on his way
I sit and finish my coffee unfazed and understanding

To be continued...

The Nail-biter saw her as his saving grace from a life of lonesome worry
She saw him as a meal ticket and a free ride
He over looked her granny ash
He disregarded her speech impediment
Always holding his tongue when she stumbled on certain words because he loved her and all her imperfections
She had a bullet proof black hole heart and his common sense was stuck in a sound proof cell as they had what seemed to him to be, passionate ***
He worked day and night, coming home with dishpan hands
Saving up to buy her a bouquet of hydrangeas, tulips and baby's breath
She took them and said, "Wow, thank you you're such a good friend"
The Nail-biter left and drove his car into the nearest embankment
She did not attended the funeral, she was too busy having dinner with The man with OCD who didn't have tics but tocks
She knew the routine and loved every second of it

Because man made spheres of synergy are treading on the verge of life support
No cooperation within the conglomerations
Perhaps we need brotherhood outside the cubical
The economy failing
Middle class working heroes about to **** themselves
But they have no money to buy a gun…out the window it is!
As insurance men and tax collectors and bill collectors beat a smile from my face with overturn fees and late fees with interest
And are all my reactions just misplaced projections?
I say **** ‘em I have no money
I’ll pay you when I can
What more can I do?

Step right up just come inside
We've got food, attractions and rickety rides
It's only ten cents to lose your mind
It's the carnival-circus of Cedric and Clyde

The magic man cuts the conjoined twins in half with giant shears
Then makes them instantly disappear
Then shows you your card as he chugs a beer
"Who's next?" "How about you my dear?"

Something isn't quite right with this side show
You sense there's something going on but you don't know
You need to get out of here but you still won't go

The sword sallower has something to say
But can't for hes devouring a flame
He tells the audience to try and imitate
He has them **** themselves then goes on his way

The snake charmer plays his tune
Down at the midway people lose
They throw the ***** but the bottle are glued
And the bearded lady and amazon women have decided to get ****

Something isn't quite right with this side show
You sense there's something going on but you don't know
You need to get out of here but you still won't go

The fortune teller looks into her crystal ball
And predicts society's failure and fall
And insists that you put up a wall
She gives you the number of a contractor to call

The muscle man and ****** are doing lines
As the lion tamer ***** on lemon rinds
You ask if everything's fine
They answer you in some sort of coded rhyme

Something isn't quite right with this side show
You sense there's something going on but you don't know
You need to get out of here but you still won't go

The clowns ****** each other for a laugh
They use exploding pies and poison gas
You see the fully loaded clown car crash
And they all lay lifeless and gashed

The merry-go-round is going mach five
The freaks and weirdos come out to say hi
The geek takes you on the Ferris wheel and get you high
And shows you the spot where they put those who have died

Something isn't quite right with this side show
You sense there's something going on but you don't know
You need to get out of here but you still won't go

The fun house mirrors are all cracked
Except for the one that makes you look fat
The roller coaster has run off the track
Those who went on can never come back

The contortionist talks backwards
The acrobats are up in the rafters
One is pregnant and plans on seeing the back alley abortionist after
She just needs to knock and give him the password

Something isn't quite right with this side show
You sense there's something going on but you don't know
You need to get out of here but you still won't go

The rabid animals come out from the petting zoo and under the tent
The elephants tear up in lament
The tigers eat the trainer and smile with content
And the escape artists swims with shoes of cement

The ringmaster walks out with his top hat and cane
And says "thank you all for coming, we'll return again"
With his handle bar mustache, hes looks absolutely insane
The whistle blows and they all board the train

Something isn't quite right with this side show
You sense there's something going on but you don't know
You need to get out of here but you still won't go

The jugglers and unicycle bears all have gone
The illusionists and tight rope walkers pass on
As have the knife thrower and human cannonball
The haunted house comes down, the brass band plays a good bye song

So there you are surrounded by dead bodies and horse ****
Stale popcorn and some kind of hit list
Of souls and cities they plan to visit
It's the Cedric and Clyde Carnival-Circus

All proceeds go to Mr. Jacques

There's a town somewhere up north off of route 54
It's cheap to live there, but I wouldn't recommend it
It's streets run with greed, ****** and sin
The people there are devoid any sense of ethics
It will leave you all shocked and breathless
Welcome to the neighborhood
Where you board up your windows and doors then double check if they're locked
Where you can always hear some one screaming
"Stop"

The mayor has been in office for six terms
And in his cabinet are members of the mob
Whose fronts are local mom and pops
Where junkies like to hang out
While a mugging of an eighty four year old widow takes place around the block
Welcome to the neighborhood
Where you board up your windows and doors then double check if they're locked
Where you can always hear some one screaming

The youth are all in gangs that **** each other
Delinquent dropouts doing drive by's
Defiling untouched regions between innocent women's thighs
Girls making appointments for back alley coat hanger abortions
As some hate group constructs homemade bombs

Welcome to the neighborhood
Where you board up your windows and doors then double check if they're locked
Where you can always hear some one screaming
"Stop"
"Stop"

Diseases and food shortages
Rotten government cheese and unpaid mortgages
Call the department of health and human services
Life here is unbearable mercilessness

Poverty and violence
Money and bullets keep those who might talk silent
Here it has come down to a simple science
The spineless **** the non-compliant for their defiance and they lay lifeless by the hands of those who commit viscous acts so mindless

Where you board up your windows and doors then double check if they're locked
Where you can always hear some one screaming
"Stop"
"Stop"

You may ask, "where is God or the police?"
They're doing their bi-weekly patrol
And they're both on big brother's private payroll
There is now law and order in this contaminated area
It's an unkempt, repugnant pustule in the middle of the caked-on face of America

Welcome to the neighborhood
Where you board up your windows and doors then double check if they're locked
Where you can always hear some one screaming

This is no time for mudslinging
Or complimentary pillow chocolates
We're here to scour these head stones to make this bone yard look more lively
Now, get over your shell shock and let's get to it

You know our motto
"They drop, we mop!"

And our slogan
"Dead as a door nail, clean as a whistle"

Adjust your bifocals
And allow this to soak in
There is nothing to fear here
I know it's creepy but we have a job to do and a name to uphold

I'm telling you in advanced, at night you might be on edge since you're new

There are no walking dead zombies here or ghost or ghouls
They've all been neutralized, passed on, embalmed and buried
If not they will ring the bell beside they're grave and the gravedigger will come and do some excavating

I know death strikes a chord with you after that accident at that donkey show in Juarez but it'll be fine

I have not disclosed any information from you, all is well

Except the fact that this is a cursed ancient Indian burial ground
Where witch doctors are put in the ground and their spirits come and work black magic on all those who tread here

Okay bye!

Open your mind
Open your eyes
Your heart
Now arise

Wake up Moonchild
The dawn is drawing near
Rub the crust from the crevices of your eyes

The world won’t wait
Not for you

Don’t let it’s turning make you sick

This is your wakeup call

Your gonging alarm clock
Sitting beside your bed head

The race is about to begin!
Ready…set…GO!
There are no winners

There are no losers
Take your time

But run well

All in stride

All in time

There’s no finish line

You’re done when you wish

The moment for reluctance has passed
The juncture of decision has come
To never know is to never ask
Let your knotted heart come undone

Flood my soul with your love
I'll become deluged and succumb
Attempt to quell this blazing sun

Allow your feelings to go unmasked
Watch your inhibitions run
In this chilled confession, bask
Proclaim your fearless affection

Flood my soul with your love
Soothing waves of ocean
In the crystal blue we are one

Tommy Johnson Jun 2016
The inception of a thought comes from perception
From the desire to create and express
Excitement
The purity is soiled by those who construct labels and boundaries
Causing mental spasms and aborted concepts

The years turn to months
Month turn to days
Days to hours
Hours to minutes
Minutes to seconds
Up until the split moment comes
Always moving forward
Framing your life, organizing it
You can look back but never go back
Death is unavoidable
Progress is natural
Distractions must be ignored
And value must be found
Time is all we have, some have more than others
How we spend and how we waste it is what matters most
But if we so chose to be on the clock for ever are we getting the most we can out of this all?
Beginnings and ends, there must be more

Maybe the answer is as simple as inhale and exhale
Give and take
The bond between opposites that blend and create a balance
Is that what we call love?
Do we look for love out of fear?
Or out of loneliness?
Is it still love then or just something to keep us afloat as we drift?
Selfishness stalls the answer
In the end its definition varies from one being to another
But it should never be held over your head and demand your compliance
Threatening you with cruelty, that is not love

In reality
There are unanswered questions and unquestioned answers
Identity
Faith
Numbers don't lie apparently
And finding yourself is of the utmost importance
While maintaining enjoyment  through it all
Until you discover it's all false
And your self image
Your ego dies

You begin to separate yourself from the template
You find sense and logic in your self
In your experiences of trial and error
Reminders chime in every now and again
To help you sort through the nonsense
You become sharp, becoming less self-destructive
You know certain truths

Sacrifices are made
Dreams and denial
There are victims
There are those who run to the safety of monotony
And those who meet their cataclysmic ends prematurely
All in search for what we all want to know
Why?
Simple as that
Why does this life operate as it does?
What does it mean?
And who, if anyone can tell us?

Will it all be okay in the next life?
Or once we get there, will we wish to look to the last?
This is projected on to us through out our lineage
But only so far

Tommy Johnson Jun 2014
Someone get the little Dutch boy who put his finger in the ****
This is gonna burst
I'm sorry if he's late to class
I'll write him an excuse
Go on
Unload
Taste the sweet nectar
Of the fruit we've come to find in our extensive trek
Before it rots, it's a fact of life
Incoming
The reckloose is on his way
Hitting the airwaves
Herding the sheep to be shaved and slaughtered

Can you hear his monologue?
You shouldn't
Misogyny
And stainless steel griddles
Gratuitous remarks
A complete  lack of integrity
With an equivalent affinity
For all of the Devil's advocates

There are thank yous to be given
To the people who have bestowed to me a voice
A chance
An opportunity to get my work out there to the public's ear

The people who give that to everyone wanting to display and demonstration raw self-expression with passion
The people who they themselves are artists as well
Writers, musicians, brilliant and enlivened

They bequeath to us platforms, podiums
Spotlight center stage soapboxes

Microphones waiting to have words of insight cascade into them
And amps bracing themselves to have those words erupt out of them
Onto an expecting and interested crowd

The smell of coffee
The smell of cigarettes
The taste of Burgundy
On my nervous breath

On the air
On the mic
I'm there
And I thank you all

For the chances you grant all of us
We who want to show the world what we can do and who we are
There needs to be more people like you, caring and ardent

With the utmost sincerity I give you my deepest gratitude

Here's to you
