The eyes are the window to the soul?

When you look at me do you see the cracked pane

Of a heavy prison door?

The image distorted beyond recognition,

It must be apart of your imagination.

The smoke and agony behind that panel of glass.

With a soul so tainted,

How could anyone smile?
Push through!

The rain pounding outside my window
The gods’ righteous anger manifested
Lightning and thunder, their weapons
And I, the victim bested

If I run naked into the storm,
and let the torrent strip me bare,
will the neighbors think I’ve gone mad?
Or will they even care?

Steps and laughter downstairs
A fraternity in its usual chaos
You crawled in through the window
To indulge in his hidden desires

A friendly greeting before the sin is committed
A mattress on the floor, blankets in swirls
Sit on the edge as he beckons you over
The black night, the sole witness

He’s cold despite the warmth of his touch
His dark eyes shine with a sense of discontent
He holds you softly, but it’s never enough
For you to feel loved, nor for him to love himself

Not a word was spoken, an unceremonious ******
No reciprocation, no lingering emotion
The loathing wafts through the air like steam
As he fixates on the disheveled ground

Retrieve your sweater from below
Go reconnect with your old friend, the night
Out the window from whence you came
He won’t even watch you leave

i took a peek, then never again.

What's beyond that window
Lies a curse i did, a sacrifice
I took and a burden i carry.

Goodbye lullaby, as i sleep
soundly towards the end.
Promptly written while watching my window.

You are traveling
To the place with pansies and tulips
On the bus
In solace..

You are seating by the window seat
Waving to strangers passing by
Gazing to faraway land
Fluttering your hair in the wind filled with mystery
Smiling stupidly thinking
I am by your side
Listening to music I made for you
Picturing the art I made with you..

I am seating on the road watching you
By the window seat
Your bus zooms down the country road
That'll take you home
And as far as I can see
And as far as my eyes can see
I won't stop looking for you…

Windows

It’s not the truth I seek,
But my truth I desire.
I’ve been trapped in this room so long
That I didn’t notice the window.

Outside this window was light.
Within that light, I saw life.
A landscape of green, vibrant and stunning.

Another window appears.
A midsummer rainstorm
Washing the streets and nourishing the world.
The smell of life penetrates the glass.

Then I noticed several more windows.
A sky painted with sleepy hues.
A deep ocean, calm and tranquil.
A metropolitan skyline, busy and loud.
A symphony of animal shouts and chirps.
A desert oasis full of wonder.

In awe of the splendor, I glance back to the room,
And I realize my truth.
I was never trapped in this room.
I just never looked for an exit.

Getting through to her
was like trying
to talk to the window
with the blinds closed
and the curtain's drawn.

Out my window I see a sky
Blue, with no clouds and a sun shining bright
Out my window I see a tree
Green, with leaves that sway with the breeze
Out my window I see mountains high
Grey, and snow topped with birds flying by
Out my window I see the whole world
And I feel, for a moment, like a small little girl
As I stare out my window, this is what I see: the entire world staring back at me.

Hue
I looked out the window and I thought I saw you
Turns out I only saw the figure of a hue
I really did believe that you were the one
But now in the day in the morning sun
Do I truly see the things you do
All because of the hue of you

She opened up the window
And from the garden she heard a song

..."I'm gonna write a song for you
In a language, that doesn't exist on earth"...

The curtains were softly moved by the wind,
And she thought to herself

"How beautiful, A little song for me"
A poem every day.

I finally found the energy/inspiration to write a bit. This is a part of my new song :)
