I don't really understand why
I fell in love with you in the first place
You were not the most beautiful creature
nor the brightest on our dearly Earth

But we've known each other for four years
yet barely even talked before because
I thought I might bother you and
you seemed a bit aloof and cold

Your eyes, they shone so bright
as I talked about my life and then yours
and we talked and we talked
until there's nothing left to talk about

Eights months have gone by and we
missed Winter and Spring and
it'll be Summer in a meantime
and you seem to forget me at all

I don't mind if we never
talked to each other anymore
because I know nothing lasts forever
even the seasons change so quickly

I just can't help it if I begin
to lose you all over again because
I realize you were never mine
and I was never yours

Rain graces my hair
small droplets from the air

life to the world
released when clouds have swirled

we may find asylum once again
in the clouds that block

the sun from all that's been
keeping misery's stock

we may all find change
in this world so strange

perhaps for the better
or merely an unwanted letter
It's been raining a lot recently! (yay!) and lots of people from my past have been reaching out to me.

Also I've been chilling in the rain a lot lately
(I'm sad that it has to end soon :( )

Rain drops fall down
Bathing my skin
And covering the town
Quenching a thirsty earth
As the rain gives birth
To new life
And lulling me to sleep
As the drops pitter patter on my roof
Drowning out the nightmares
As my soul it soothes
I’ve begun to believe
Rain can heal most anything
For when I’ve had a bad day
And I say, “I’m done, I quit”
The rain washes down my face as if to say
“Just breathe, that’s it!”
The rain makes me shiver
Because it makes me wet and cold
But kissing in the rain brings other shivers entirely
But that’s a story I’ll leave untold
What do you love about the rain?

I’m always missing something, but I never care to look
I always have a fish, but I never set the hook
I lay awake at night in a deep unease
From my life I greatly displease
I’m puzzled if my life is heading for cold cloudy winter
The weather of the past is something that would hinder
I know my life is not some easy task
I was born never knowing what to ask
You could cumulate that I’m my own rain
When all I want is not to be in pain

you move like rain,
you move like the storm.
Sometimes soft,
sometimes heavy.
You end my droughts,
leaving a rainbow,
to clear my doubts,
in sun or in snow.

I fell into a whirlwind of emotions
You flooded my mind
Drowned me in thoughts
You made the storms seem like sunshine
and now,
I can't tell the difference

Possible titles:
happenstance
storm colors
Concrete chameleon

Original:

I watched the sidewalk
Go from light to spotted grey
Sudden rain shower.

A different version:

Watching the sidewalk
grey spots growing together
Stone chameleon.
I like the idea of this one it's been rattling around in my head for a while and I've written it down in various forms can't quite settle on the finished version though maybe I should ask for some input ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I really like the comparison of the changing colors to the chameleon but chameleons have no place on a rainy sidewalk so it's kind of a weird connection and it also reminds me of painting so yeah rain painted chameleon sidewalk mess hahaha...

Thunderstorms rage outside my window.
Lightning blinks as it watches me cry.
It's strange to have the weather know
What I feel inside.
