The pressure is bearing down on your body
As you crumble beneath the weight
There is only so much you can take
But it doesn't have to be this way

The first time we met,
I knew I could trust you.
Not a burden, nor a threat.
Together we grew.

Our bonds of friendship, unbroken.
Life was light, as it was dark.
Loyalty, honesty. Given. Unspoken.
We've always had that spark.

It has all been thrown at us.
Never once did I doubt,
Through all the breaks and cuts,
The screams, the shouts.

We'll always have each other,
Everyone else is background noise,
That has become lost in the thunder,
As we've discovered our joys.

Friend is too weak a word,
To describe what you are.
Family is more preferred,
As you are never far

From my heart and mind.
When the call comes,
I'll respond in kind.
No matter the outcome.

We've had each other's backs,
Through joys and losses.

Through thick and thin,
Sam, what a pleasure it's been.
Being friends with someone for 9 years, you're bound to go through a lot together. Love each other, hate each other. break apart then reunite. Goddess knows we've had our fair share of trials, even at a young age. Through it all, there was never any doubt in my mind about the loyalty and honesty within our friendship. I am reminded of that today. Sam, if you read this, I am humbled and honoured by the friendship we've had. Let's keep growing. I have all the love and respect for you in the world.

To your alter I go now
At your feet I do bow
I know not why, this, you would allow
And I ask not how
This will glorify you now

I only sing holy, holy, holy
For I know you are worthy
I know you are sovereign
And that you plained my pain
All for your gain
So I worship you now
And all at your feet I lay down

All this trouble is come now
And all of it you did allow
I know not but will glorify you now
For you will work it for good
And later it will be understood
the search has earnestly begun
to find an effective treatment
that'll stymie the blighting torment

scientists are on a questing run
in pursuing a vaccine's whack
which shall cease the viral attack

our globe received a hard stun
as its contagion did spread far
striking many countries with a jar

the sooner the trialing is spun
its success shall uplift us all
from a world laden by a pall

future days will be lit in sun
on testing labs scotching the bug
that has been relentless of slug

the search has earnestly begun
scientists are on a questing run
our globe received a hard stun
the sooner the trialing is spun
future days will be lit in sun

Referencing wisdom
Chinese / Japanese / Other
you will encounter
a metaphor using trees
to impart knowledge
on confronting affliction

"bamboo that bends", or
"the oak that breaks in a storm..."
comprehendable?
yes, even agreeable
                                               - partially

Openness to change
I can appreciate... but
to destructive change!?
Therein, my inner conflict

To resist violence
and to fall instead of sway.
Stoic refusal
to accept ancient wisdom.

In how to remain
- the teachings of confucius

Lying, pondering
hearing groaning, resisting.
I now realise,
like the oak by my window

                                               - I will fall.
Now here you've got me
like a scene from a cult classic movie.
my legs trembling for a heart gauged open
and blood dripping
down your face
Tell me- when was the first time you saw me in pain?
Some can say,
soaked before the rain
they noticed me pray

that'll be the morning
When you feel me through the sheets
even after hurting
myself so deep
Have I told you the story of who I was yet?
Have I done a good enough job
convincing you
Why I love me
and why you should to
needs revisiting

Like an earthquake in a still morning,
When lovers linger half- asleep in
Their lovers keld of electricity,
Their songs, are still alive
I love so many places
that are becoming invisible ...
good day... Light of my sky.
You will not love me again,
As soon as I saw it,
I wrote to you,
with you, I will make my people, our people;
I was transported to the world,
in the wind, hidden Below the flowers out of the rock.
in the deepest pools of trees.
The Lyraeon in the Valley.
The eagle,is an ancient warrior eagle,
Outside of worlds
and before the numbers,
He soared unwatchable
In the sempiternal hands of god.
I am with you, still my son.
between our bodies are "Hundred fields" galaxies,
  thirsty  with waves of death,
flourishing in old age ,
Even now, long before the coming day
before the coming of the day of days.
When the sun has appointed
more black to the seas level ;
And the rain will be swallowed up by the sky,
... rain, wind and silent colors an adagio in b minor played upon
A cello of storms...
Old, old,elder storms
that hold to their violence
Yet, the killing;
Is an agonizing death,
Here On the landless planet,
Where I am the only island,
Adrift because, I can not forget ,
Until I am nothing,
I will live for a very slight, if.
I will continue,
throwing stones of fire
At the pages of reality
That won't even sound like raindrops
On the windows of minutes
from the walls That hinder the light of the Spirit;
Laughing you to sleep,
Dreams do not say goodbye.
the air and resentment
and the cold are the killers
crushing teeth of concrete winters

Crouching in tendrils of bright green grass
Two caterpillars set out on a daunting task
Hearts filled with hope to taste the fruit
Which had rendered so many full and moot

They slugged their way out beneath the sun
And laughed and talked of all they'd done
Distracted they never saw the bird coming
It swooped down much too close and sent them running

Once they were sure the bird was lost
They argued their plan and what it could cost
They were both still afraid the bird would come back
And this time that bird would precisely attack

But they knew in their hearts that they came so far
They couldn't turn back on their wishing star
So they hauled for the tree which was just in sight
When the bird swooped in and with all it's might

Bit a chunk from both caterpillars **** end
And with a mighty resurrection of power would send
Both caterpillars catapulting to the tree
Where both could feast and drink fruit mead

In a drunken stupor honey glazed thoughts soar
The caterpillars lost in slumber would snore
And in their sleep their body's tore
To be rebuilt with fine allure

They stretched out their legs, wings unfolded as well
Both stared in awe at the beauty, love spell
They leapt in the air and tested their wings
And rose to the sky to cheerfully sing

Two soaring butterflies dancing with the wind
They looked at each other and victoriously grinned
They had beat the bird and ate all their fruit
And may never had if they left that route
Wealthy people have a knack
Of making contributions
They don’t let trials get them down
But focus on solutions

So don’t let anger conquer you
Or seek out retribution
But seek to take the higher road
And offer a solution

Of several ways to undertake
A problem’s diminution
The best by far is simply choose
A mindset of solution

So cultivate this daily choice
There are no substitutions
To making it your daily goal
To seek out good solutions
