I'm laying on my bed
Looking at the sun
Wishing that time wouldn't pass this slowly
It's always the same
But, oh, today
How I feel so lonely
And what kills me is that
During those years
Correction: I mean a few hours
I don't know how you feel
I don't know how you're doing
Or where you're going
And the years keep passing by
Yet,
I'm all alone, on my bed, looking at the sun
Still waiting
A random midnight poem i"ve decided to write

You molded me,
Into the shape you wanted me to be,
To be perfect for you.
When I finally met those expectations,
You changed them and left me,
For a younger girl that was me before you.
And you gave her your love,
Your time,
Your affection.

I hated you for a while,
But then I found someone,
Who loves me for the way I am now -
The me after you.
He even loves me more than you ever could.
So I guess I should thank you,
For making a diamond out of mere carbon atoms,
For someone who understands the value to cherish forever.
Don't forget that whatever you're going through is just a stepping stone to build you into a rare gem. Thank you for reading.

Are you holding my hand,

Just so that you don't fall?
Concern doubt love fear
The morning bleeds hues of
Vibrant violet and rose
Over a peaceful world.
Feathers fluttering, leaves whispering
About the day to come.
The sun, like eyes opening for
The first time, shines like
Jewels lying in the creek bed.
Godless night washed away
With watercolor wildflowers.
Without such beauty,
The alarm clock chirping
Would surely be my enemy.

I could only see from beneath her wanderous eye

Even from afar she’s still in sight
I long for her breeze and warm light

Clashing like fire and ice
Too much for me to grasp

I feel a ripple and hear your sound
Like one of a paradiddle all around

Approaching softly

Out of her ken until again
She lost me.
Beauty beneath the eye.

Someone said you granted wishes
Well if you actually do
And you plan on giving me one or two
Could I please use just one
Whenever you deem possible

Well anyway here's my wish
and it's for a poet friend
I wish, I wish, I wish
I wish for David's poem to trend

Do whatever you can HP computer
and Thank You so, so much!
"Make It Happen"
A fabulous poem by -David
oft they've inquired as to
why their poems don't trend
this is a mystery only known
at the algorithm's end

a random pick done
by a selection device
inside the computer program's
unspecified dice

it is hoped that this brief
explanation gives some insight
as to how an anthology
receives the green light
