Burning inside is a fire worth harboring
A flame so high the sky feels it’s heat
No ray of sunlight could match the intensity of the girl radiating fire
In her wake wades destruction and suffering soon ensues

But the girl made of embers with flares of solar light lights up the dimmest days and dispels the darkest nights

So the lady with her bright red heart walked for miles and miles with no one beside her
She feared they had left because of her boiling touch and was worried her personality was a little too much
And the fire encapsulated all that drew near it
The cries of those harmed were inaudible for her to hear it
The crackling of her skin warmed the air and her feet charred the ground
She attempted to tiptoe but each step made volcanic sound

Soon she sat all alone, isolated, lost from home
Her penetrating tears absorbed oxygen as they hit the rubble
She cried and wondered why she was nothing but trouble

But a boy soon approached made of water and ice
Who got too close to the fire girl and by touching her paid the price
He screamed and part of his old self melted into puddles then to vapor
He realized he couldn’t live without her so he did his best to save her
He sacrificed it all
For this risky girl

She tried to push him away but his persistence was strong
She told him time after time that what he is doing was wrong
But this now glistening man grabbed for her hand
And the once dangerous girl breathed a sigh of relief
And her once grand flames became minuscule and brief
He held her as she whimpered and begged to be free
She missed her lonely flames but feared more what she’d be

An obsidian shell encased her from her head to her feet
She ruined the ice man and his life for eternity
She wanted to get close to him but he was scared and ran from her hurriedly

Unsure what to do she stood still quietly
Could a love ever burn for two opposing elements
Or are they always equipped for battle putting on there helmets

He stopped and looked back at the now cooling flame
He noticed her calm nature and thought she was tame

Scared to venture further she pulled back ever so slightly and he knew she was timid
The defenses were dropped and her walls all shattered
Her deep insecurity was left as everything else scattered

Walking to her slowly he extended his arm
Hoping she was unable to do any harm
He trusted her greatly and stood his ground stately

With two rapid blinks she looked in confusion
No one had ever kindled her flame and she wondered if it was all a delusion
Reluctantly she matched his gesture of love
And prayed that she wouldn’t mess this one up

So the two stood hand in hand at the edge of the chaos
They chose to walk the thin line between fantasy and reality
Letting nothing subdue them except the sheer force of gravity
Together these two beings
Although wildly different
Knew something drew them together
So they continued their journey not knowing the path
Not caring about the destination or finding a map
They knew as long as they had each other
That there was nothing they wouldn’t do to be by one another
Her less harmful flame merely simmered his heart
He kept her at bay despite the influence of her day
She always kept him warm and vowed never to let go
No matter if she was the hot summer day or he was the graceful winter snow

Realization.

In broken pictures you are stored inside my mind;
In jagged edge stories you are remembered from time to time.
In thoughtless actions I believed in your lies.
Now all memories have been damaged and lost
And the truth is hard to find.

In an unknown future, I know nothing of what is to come;
We no longer come together to face our fears head on.
We used to believe in this game we play called love;
Now we have nothing left, so we become undone.

With tears we wash away all the pain that we feel;
I used to wish I could still hold you and have you near,
But no longer do I need you, because I have begun to heal.
Passion soon dies and as I stand alone, you will soon disappear.

In love again, I find my happiness;
Now I have someone beautiful I can undress.
Now I realize that this new love is the best;
Broken hearts heal, so you will no longer be missed.

A new lover brings a new love into creation;
No longer a life of strife with a love that became vacant.
Now a real love is found;
This love is a revelation!
I can be happy in love.
I am happy!

Realization.

Love is a true story.
Love takes time.
True love means being faithful,
And truly loving only one woman for the rest of my life.
At this moment she is only on my mind;
I hope one day to find her hand in mine.

Behind the fights, the scream, the pain, the fleeing.
We live together, deeply in love, forever.
We all have our flaws, and these are ours.
So we have something to work on together.
When we are forever

I have a problem with the:

              Them against us
    Us against them.

This against That
                       That against This.

Why does everything have to be split between
the avenues of disagreement.
Don't get me wrong,  to discuss is evident
for what is life without question.
       But some ideas are just
    illogical
              cognitive
delusions of others thoughts are a height
above others similar reflections.
But only see there view
                                  not the many refracting.

"I ask you this, what is life if we cant disagree
                   but see the reflections of others thoughts

if the time is gone
for us to be together
then time is for nought

I could write you in
between the lines,
slipping in nuance
like a kiss in the sheets;
but would you stay?
I wish to keep you in
the way you’ve gotten
neath my skin.
Hold me close
and whisper,
“take my body
feed my soul.”

make the love
and write the prose.

We danced t o g e t h e r but alone
Hollow, dried up love
Without heartbeat keeping rhythm
Instruments left unplugged.

The crowd buzzed around us
Through us
A twirling blur you’d miss if you blinked
Faint echoes of substance.

We danced with fear of culmination
Eternally shuffling feet
Preferring exhaustion over truth
As our minds floated far away.

The world spun around us
Oblivious to us
Stubborn ceaselessness
A corpse love refusing to rest.

We danced t o g e t h e r but alone
Slowly

When I accepted that
Together is lonely,
I released his hand.

The crowd buzzed around us
And he dissolved into it

Broken from this silent reverie
I heard the strumming of a guitar.
And danced alone, but together.

in my quiet retreat
I hear your distant steps,
a steady heartbeat that seeks
mine out in the dark.

you can find me
where the fields kiss the sky
and trees are evergreen,
I won't go anywhere

I am sorry you met me and fell in love
If there was a way in time to go back
I would keep our paths from crossing
Spin my life on some other track

I would block our lines; save us
Before we got the chance to intersect
Tangle and destroy ourselves
I'd stop them so we could avoid being wrecked

If only we could unsee eachothers faces
Erase memory from your lips and my eye
We could have avoided this pain
The difficult task of saying goodbye

All I want to do is delete wrongdoings
Undo wicked disloyal deeds
Find a way to wipe out forces connecting us
Before your name became one of my biggest needs

I am holding the damaged remains of what's left
Shattered memories and pieces of our trust
Trying to put our romance back together
Instead I stare as it crumbles to dust
Sometimes I wish I had a do over.
