The Snowman

The Snowman stands there day and night;
His arms are outstretched to welcome all to the house.
He was created by a dream of him coming to life.
One day he will fade away, but he is not yet gone into the clouds.

When all becomes bright once more and the sun continuously shines,
The Snowman, unfortunately, will no longer be alive;
But he makes us smile because of what could be.
He could fly with us through the air, if we truly believe.

His carrot nose and coal for eyes,
Brings a smile to our faces as we build him a smile.
His arms are sticks, because of the stick men we have seen.
We had fun building him; there was enough snow to have built three.

We gave him a hat to keep him warm;
A scarf was placed around his neck as well.
The pieces of coal we used, to give his coat some buttons.
He looks to be in good health.

But nothing lasts and one day he will melt away.
We have only just created him, so we do not think about that time…
Maybe he will be able to stay.
He waves at us through the window as we close the curtains at night.
We wave him goodbye, before going to bed; he is now out of sight.
But he is still on our minds and as we close our eyes;
He is happy being outside.
Staring off into the distance;
What does he think of as he stands there beneath the full moon light?

That carrot, what could be said a little girl gave her,
Well we wondered why an anatomically
Correct Miss Snow lady had such an amicable smile.

Her nose always seemed to descend to below,
She had a friend but his carrot was as
Limp as could be, it wasn’t his fault it’s the cold you see…

But never fear, where there is ingenuity there is away…
In their morning Miss Snow seemed to ice up below,
But she seemed to have a rather defrosted glow…

For when it was time for this artificial carrot to wind down,
She evaporated in pleasure but Mr Snowman was still there
***** but no place to go. Poor Mr Snowman,
we'll blame it on the cold…

Look outside and watch the snow
If you see it falling then just go!
Have some fun in those pure white fields

Make an angel out of snow or even an entire man
And enjoy the winter as long as you can

You could also simply just go and sledge, if you find a hill
Surely that could give you a nice little thrill

Or enjoy the cold, cuddling your lover
A chocolate milk and a blanket would be a nice cover

Or you could write
Under an starlit night
Full of wonder and delight
Amazed by this season and its might

Imagine
Just imagine
If snowman could
Think and express themselves
What would they say?
I imagine, they would talk
About creation and evolution
It would go like these:
- Do not say B.S.,
There is no creator! By chance, evolutionary
We become like these from snowflake!
One invites you to join snowman conversation ;)

Tiny wool mittens
Roughly sculpted my frame
From a flat land of snow
To a girl with no name
2 frosty green peas
Became blurry eyes
Then 10 little craisins
Made a smile so wide
My arms were uneven
One thin and one thick
Many shades of brown
But of the same stick
A mildewed blue hat was
Placed right on my head
Plus a scarf round my neck
That was cardinal red
All my wonderful features
Yet I don't think I'm real
'Cause I'm a girl with no name
Who can not seem to feel

Once I met this girl
On my way to a desert of snow.
With a bucket and shovel in my hand,
A bit of chill on the spine,
I was trying to make a heap of snow
Then maybe a man of it.
She sat there for hours,
Watching me, smiling with fair cheeks,
While I saw her transforming bit by bit.
A carrot appeared on the nose,
Green scarf of a childhood winter
Cuddled her cold white neck,
And a fuzzy hat sat on her snow-head.
My baffled voice asked,
“How did you do that?”
Without opening her lips, she answered,
“Just dreaming bigger.”
I am thankful to my friend Tulika for this poem, who taught me that dream not only can be of making a snowman, but can be of becoming one.

I was built-
In frigid cold
Under painful circumstances
So delicate
Fragile, I was
When they created me.
They built me up from the ground,
Where I had fallen
Carefully they picked me up
Plastered a new nose on my face
Two black eyes
Two very empty eyes
And a smile.
A smile that would always fall off
I was finally something new
Not better,
Just different.
I believed I had been saved.
Until the day I realized,
I had been
Created in the coldest depths
Of other people's souls
Who gave me empty eyes
And a broken smile.
They made a snowman
And left me out in the cold
Because once they made me
I had no more use
Left alone to die
Waiting for-
The first wave of heat to come along.

I am Frosty the Snowman
And I keep losing my hat
And all the kids who danced around me
Have all grown into what they're supposed to be

I don't mind if you want to go
I'm not half the snowman I wish I was
I just stay frozen
In all the pain I put upon me

So will you help me find my hat
Will you help me find my hat
Will you help me find my hat
'Cause I want you to stay

I think love
Has gone downhill
Ever since it was
Confused with lust
It's merely just
A physical
Attraction now a days

I need somebody to show me
That they can be more than a body
More than just a one night stand
I need someone like you
So will you help me find my hat
Will you help me find my hat
Will you help me find my hat
'Cause I don't want to melt away

Frosty the snowman is packing a fat bowl
In his Rockstar pipe he puffs and blows
Until all that's left is coal

Frosty the snowman has the nicest **** around
Oh but don't say so to the old 5-0
Or he'll beat your punk *** down

There must have been some magic in
That old *** bag he found
For when he took it to his head
He turned into a ******* snowman

O, Frosty the snowman
Smokes the dankest bud in town
But you wouldn't know you silly ***
Cuz the **** you smoke is brown

Frosty the snowman
Will green you out one day
You can say you're through
But it's oh so true
Cuz ***** Frosty don't play
Written by myself, inspired by Maruchan instant ramen noodles.
