Snow descends in white flurries,
somewhat hovering, drifting.
All is still, nothing hurries;
only shadows are shifting.
Night retreats,
moves on
at the break—
of dawn.
about worries leaving and calm taking over

It's snowing
Snowing like it was
All those years ago

Snowing it like it was
When we stumbled outside
Giggling and shivering

Snowing like it was
When we kissed the icy flakes
Off of each other's eyelashes

Snowing like it was
When you and I
were us

It's snowing
So I should be with you
But you're with her.
Snow, winter, was always for us. It was our most romantic happy place. Right now, it's snowing like it was in my happiest memory, except she's with the other girl.

whistling whistling whistling
wooOooooOooowooo owooOo wooOOO ooo
singing me to sleep

soft breaths like a cat
hh-shhh, hh-shhh, hh-shhh
or ravenous screams, telling me
let me in let me in let me in

soft melody, broken throats
crushed voices just in time, any rasping?
check on them for me, will you

they're begging, ma'am
please just tell us the answer

Is it best to lie in the snow
And let a scream out to the world?
To speak of ideas that have swirled,
Have fallen to the ground as slow?

Waiting for the damp heavy weight
That likes to linger on my chest
To take the fingers it has pressed
And lift them from my weak breastplate.

O, how I wish the weight was gone,
To drift away as the clouds do.
Will the weight let me call out to
The mountains holding up the dawn?

I could stand to learn a few things
From how the snowflakes like to fall.
Melting so exquisite and small,
Their bitter cold into nothing.
i wrote this for creative writing and kind of like it, and yes it’s supposed to be formal

The November asphalt is stolen,
enraptured and torn by
cracks of a longing summer's kiss.
Oh, where did the winter's magic go?
Where is the ice-cold embrace,
the beautifully written crystal maze
of snow?

it's snowing tonight
it's cold, but i'm walking now
i don't care at all what he says
it's a precious time now for me
i'm lost in deep thought

i have no trust in my family
simple life is boring for me at all

i am in no mood to **** myself
i don't know why i was born
i don't feel at home where i am
i don't know what it is

i have no trust in my family
simple life is boring for me at all

i'm walking in the snow now
i'm not restricted in my movement
A song by bluebeard.

Bluebeard was a Japanese emotional rock band, active around the early 2000s. The band's music had a likeness to the emotional rock scene happening in the States: Sunny Day Real Estate, Mineral, Texas is the Reason, etc, and bluebeard carved out an identity for themselves in the indie music scene in Tokyo. (Emotional Rock, or emo rock, is the same genre as the more popular American Football.) In a rare interview, it became known that bluebeard intended for their music to be at the same level as the bands of their influence, and worked hard to do so, so they could be enjoyed by a wider audience, including the States.

Their genius showed: in 2015 the band had a year-long reunion, much like American Football and Mineral at that time, and ended for packed venue(s). Just like American Football, the band had only released one full length album.

Yoshikazu Takahashi is one of the brains behind the music of bluebeard, and he is the voice behind the lyrics. Snow, was written about the singer songwriter's loneliness he experienced at adolescence. At writing it, he was likely around the age of 20.

If you're talking about the great emotional rock bands that make up that era: listen to Bluebeard, who saw the scene as it was happening in the States, and emulated what they heard and saw with soul and unique vision. The truth behind their lyrics, the genius of their music's composition, the mentor influences from British punk bands who Yoshikazu idolised (and likely others), and Yoshikazu's own soulful, renegade voice: bluebeard bleeds that era of emotional rock.

A quiet field of snow
untouched,
unburdened -
I leap through it,
leaving large footprints
and nullifying the stillness
which had graced the field before me.
Luckily,
there is always more grace
to be found in nature;
and so I plod onwards,
my stride slow and heavy,
but joyful as it finds
and matches the tracks
of the moose and ptarmigan
who frolic through this valley.

There is, after all,
an answer to the meaning of life
and love and joy.
And it lies in the valley of snow before me
for all the world to bear witness to.

Black lines drip down this canvas
Of blue tinged white like fallen snow
I know it's grown colder so this
Feeling of surprise climbs without reason
Like finding santa's presents this season

This cold feels warm somehow
My body and mind disagree
Viewing my hairs stand in memory of freezing winds, changing a tire in sleeting weather, but all I remember is laying on the floor fireside with my familiar.

The overnight fall
Is framed through my bedroom window
This morning
I will wrap myself
In the blanket
Before tires, squirrels and bootprints
Mar my pristine scene.

Snow is but listening silence,
Sent from our dark past,
Inaudible ghosts made visible
In the butterfly net of cold.
