We started to love
One another

Because,
we both like dumpling

That simple.
Genre: Love
Theme: Momo
[Note: when simplicity is ultimate sophistication]

people are poetry

often times we overanalyse,
expect too much
and demand an answer
from the most simplest concepts.
the simplest people.

people are poetry
for what seems to be complicated
can be the described in the simplest terms;
if only ears are patient enough
to await the meanings that unravel themselves.

people are poetry
for they are simple
yet intricate,
coherent but complex,
and ever so full of meaning;

if only ears were patient enough to await the meanings
- that unraveled themselves through time and understanding -
only then will we accept that people are poetry.

sock fights across the living room
on a tuesday afternoon
with the whole world ahead of us.

tea cups piled on the bedside table
on a monday morning
with the alarm blaring and your face blurred above me.

late-night movies in the bitter cold
on a friday night
with the promise of take-out noodles and warmth if we could get home without frostbite.

and it's at moments like this that i realise
you are everything to me.
every balled-up sock,
every cup of tea,
every ****** b-side movie
is an extension of our love.

i adore you.

In simply city,
every skyscraping thought is crushed,
in simply city we try to have one mayor,
who abolished slavery,
we don't fear danger,
we show off but only about our weakness.

Do you truly know what it's like to dream with your eyes open?
To confess that you don't know why you dream the way you do.
The need to miss as much as you do.
Missing the reality of the things that make most happy.
Catching yourself in the beauty that goes unseen.
Everything that goes unseen.
The light that twinkles in the melanin.
Quiet spheres that guard us from what we fear most.
Legit watching you the way you watch them.
Bowing in your essence while you share in their regal.
The way your shoulders slide into a dress made in their likeness.
The rest of the world goes on

the joy of
having a few
currency notes
in the jeans pocket,

and floating through
the day in careless
glee is all but over,
they tax our hearts,

they tax our minds,
plying election dreams
and lust for drugged
drowsy seats of power,

down with leisure!
their cattle call.
