we both watched them run until their bodies became to frail to function
they wore themselves out and broke themselves down into nothing
we behaved as if bystanders to some gruesome accident in the making
powerless in our capability to rescue,
but burdened with the weight of survivor’s guilt all the same

we both watched them run faster than we could keep up with
their arms pumped by their sides, their elbows shoving us away
we called out to them, we screamed:
"aren’t you getting tired yet?"
but our words were lost in the dust they created

we both watched them run farther away from us,
farther away from the unknown they were searching for so desperately
we both watched them run until there was nothing left to see

Chase us, oh Lord, for we run swiftly
Into our own ruin, so please chase quickly
Chase faster than tears can fall
Save us from ourselves

Embrace us, Lord, keep us from breaking
Help us in the undertaking
Hold us closer than the flailing wind
Be the peace that makes us whole

Clean us, oh Lord, in heart and mind
Leave not one spot of grime behind
Wipe us cleaner than blanketing snow
And let love ne'er run dry

To finally be intertwined with the one on your mind is so bliss. Your hands fit oh so well on my curves but I bet they feel even better just a tad lower. My mind has never raced so fast at such a settle heartbeat. Every settle pulse vibrates through my body and I just can't bring myself any closer to you. Baby fill me past my line because I can't do it for myself. I can't do much for myself in the first place. Tuck my hair away. Leave those chills down my spine with every blow, kiss, and bite. Tell me you love me even if you don't know if I can return that. Keep the smoke filling in my lungs so you aren't the only one making me this numb. Hand me a drink so I can fall into you with every piece of me I have left. Grace me with your touch because I've been craving nothing less than that for months. I just want to feel you. Put your hands in my hair before we fall asleep because in the morning I need a tug so I can stay there because I've been so used to running I just need to hold on.

In my a journey
Doubt; a constant recurrence
Plaguing my sanity
My last tether to existence

A continuing struggle
Questioning everything that is:
My Family, My Religion
Myself

Left with more and more regrets
Only left to look back
But desperately trying to look forward,
To Tomorrow, To the future

Left hanging on...
Fighting for an existence not worth fighting for

Squeaking sneakers squealing as the smoker squelched across the slippery shiny surface.
Sweat slipping off the smokers snout as the law chased. Oliver the overweight officer was overly panting but gained no advantage. Had he finally met his match?
Safe and sound in a storage facility the smoker stayed silent.
Oliver smashed the smoker across the kisser. He'd smelt out his prey by the stench resonating from the smokers smelly socks.

you talk about
getting away from here
you'll be gone
just shy of a year
but that means
you're leaving me
and everything
we used to be
im trying to
make myself feel

was anything we had real?
I attempted rhyming.

Longing to abscond with time
Run away to breathe and live
Looking for truth beyond the horizon
Restless soul breaking free

This heart wants to settle
For it’s run an emotional gamut
Tattered, worn out like old shoes
Quietly ticking, limping along

Then, like electrical therapy
You ignited a spark deep inside
Blood flows with purpose
Deliberate beating with resilience

It keeps on running
For you

Running satisfies the part of me that hates myself

I thought it simply enjoyed watching me suffer

But now I know: it hates me, and wants to make me better

Dancing through a field of white flowers.
Doing nothing more than whiling away the hours.
I sit in the grass as I wait for your return,
but suddenly, the field started to burn.
White flowers begin to catch light,
and the birds of the world being to take flight.
That's when I realize that you are not coming,
and suddenly, I find myself running.
I run in the direction I think I'll find you,
but am left wondering if your love is true.
I can't understand why you left me here
but I understand that I love you, my dear
I actually really like this poem a whole lot.
