The crisp Autumn air
Waves gently
Through the ever-changing leaves

Must be that time of year

Leaves fallen on the grass, the sidewalk
The crispness of the air
Always brings me back to this

Where Fall was always Autumn

And the trees are evergreen
Love stands the test of time and space
Earth never dies or ends

The winter may come
The snow may fall
The grass becomes white
And the trees become ghosts

The summer has ended
And we long
For days of spring
But we remember
The season of Fall

Why worry for youth if in your heart you're forever young
If your joy is kept alive
If your smile is still bright
Why worry for the future of gray hairs and parchment skin
If love is had would it be so bad
To one day sit and reminisce without the threat of immortality
Without the prison of eternal youth
Fun for years
Fun for hours
Decades
Centuries
Eternity towers
Appreciate the world
When the spring in your step has gone sour
Appreciate the season
Stop and smell the flowers
Feel the snow
The cold
The pain that as a youth you were in a rush to rid
What have you to say after your rushing worries have rushed away
What memories can you retain if you speed through to the end
You can sit for years and muse, pretend
Make a plan
Take your time
Life may be short but it's a short long while
Especially to the end

I always count with my fingers all the years you've been gone.
Now I realize I am getting short handed
I need more than both of my hands.
Everyone tells me you are never going to come back.
I know it in myself but I will keep on waiting.
All those letters you have made for me I still read.
I know every word and punctuation you have written.
My sole picture of you have slowly faded through time
But never will my love.
I still remember in my mouth the taste of your lips as you bade me farewell.
I still remember what your hands felt as you caressed my cheeks and sweetly said;
“I will come running back home to you, I promise."
But you never did, didn't you?
Why must our love also be a casualty of the war?

as i
was kissing
another person’s lip,
i remember you
— the way
i kiss him
is still the same
with how we do it

until he said,

“no, wait. stop.
i don’t like this.”

that’s when
i realized,

i wasn’t kissing him.

i was kissing
our memories
back together.
it’s been awhile since i last hooked up with someone

He remembers a
curvature too straight to exist, surreal
but a childhood in the bloodstream.
Listen to what must he say, listen to
what he cannot say.
With three steps, lock a reason with
the old scotch like his ink beneath
the table.
Screams followed the
futility that loved to linger by the
lines; screams sank in the lines too.

Out there in the cold, you and I,
A sacrifice and a song.

my
oh so faint
memory of
you
doesn’t give
justice
to
how much
i want to feel
your embrace
tonight.
to the person i dated for roughly two weeks, i miss you and im glad you found someone who’ll enjoy that warm embrace of yours.

i’m just glad we’re friends now and could cheer you on with your life from afar.

my poetry is undefinable
for my mind is simply indescribable

words are stretched and analyzed
true meanings surface, breaking ties

recollect and reminisce
i know that i’m someone you might miss

look within and you might find
the things you search for when i write

you do not own my thoughts anymore.
an old piece of mine

Us
How shall I obliterate those warm memories?
The sweet moments penned in my mind's diary.
Succumbed I was in your trance,
those passionate moves of our dance.
I was alive because you were there.
Nothing mattered, for all seemed fair.
To me, you were the only right.
In my darkest hour, you were the only light.

Then time changed its tide.
We left each other's side.
We became busy in our lives
And everything else just died.

I wrote this a very long time ago, I think I was 20 back then. I think the poem is pretty simple and obvious, you can read through and get an idea. Ciao!

Racing in my mind on endless plane
As the thoughts of you turn into a bittersweet dismay
The time we spent together and the feelings you awoke
Violently I toss and turn as I begin to lose all hope

And I shouldn’t obsess
But I cannot help but to hear
When her soothing voice resounds
I am forever to be drawn near

Whilst I sit on a shelf alone
Only to entertain the silence
Slowly it creeps into my mind
An everlasting ultraviolet

Though happy at last it was
Were the nights together with you
Now seem to be a hollow oblivion
As my world is filled with a mournful gloom

What I had for a short season
I can only begin to admit
I can’t help but to crumble
As I begin to reminisce
