I notice the silence

not anymore the chirping
or the chatter of the wind

I notice the hummingbird
trying stillness by furious

flapping I stop engaging
myself I let go of my eyes

frantic grasping of letters
on a page putting the book

down where it was letting
my head as beheaded

falling too

I am alive inside this page.
You've but to read to set me free.
I beg, I plead to you who read;
read on to help me. Set me free!

I've been inside here for so long,
just waiting for someone to glance,
upon this page and then to read.
To unwittingly give me a chance.

I think you'll help me. Will you not?
You've read to far now just to stop.
Your instinct fools you. Your interest pulls you.
You find this page is hard to drop.

My freedom comes with every word,
with every verse that you will read.
I know you're empty. I will fill you.
I will become you when I'm freed.

Now its too late, for I am in you.
No longer shall you live as free.
I give you my prison of the page.
Your body and soul belong to me.

My Spirit's telling me to read
The Flesh is saying no
My mind is fogged and fuzzy
Is paralyzed and slow
Though it may take me all the day
I have nowhere to go
I read ALL of what you write
Just want you to know

There are people who skim and ♡. There are those who don't even read at all. I ain't one of them. I try to read and get the gist of what you are writing. I try to go back and read the poems I've missed in the time I've been gone. For each one of the people that I read. It takes me a lot longer. But I love your poetry. And I want to read responsibly. So forgive me for being slow. I am giving each and every one of you my full attention!
I am a runaway
But I found a home
In the deadliest player
Of the team

I am a king
Disguised as a slave
But I’d give up every kingdom
For him

I am a dreamer
Of the troublesome kind
And the things I dream
Can come to life

I am a magician
In love with the dreamer
And with the forest
That speaks to me

I am a boy
In a magical island
And I love fishes
Instead of girls

I am a twin
I’ve given up the sun
And I’m remaking the world
One drawing at a time

But most importantly,
I am a reader
And these are amongst
The thousands of lives
That I’ve lived
Don't you just love reading? the books featured in this are The Foxhole Court, Captive Prince, The Raven Cycle, Teeth and I'll Give You The Sun

Books left on bookshelves
Might as well be dead....
To bring them to life
They have to be read!
I want to back in that bookstore with you.

I want to sit next to you by the window
while we read together your favourite poet.

I want to watch your eyes skim the spines
as you search for something to share with me.

I want to feel your arms around my waist
as I scan the blurb of something I might buy,

because I enjoy reading with you
much more then trying to read you.

breezy bliss
I sit and sip,
intensitea to the subtle
coo of bird calls
and soft kitten feet
across wood floors--

the rain plays gently
with the flower buds,
caressing their petals
and kissing their stems
in earnest,
the breeze whisks the
rain away and the clouds
cover the sky in grey magic--

the true nature of calm
settles upon the earth
and Mother Earth smiles

this is a casual magick Saturday--

Rainy days always are my favorites for magick and bliss. (04.30.2016)
I once told my friend that the only drugs, alcohol and boys I need are in books. I didn't know how true that was until later.
