it rarely occurs to me
how beautiful one can be
yet those who truly stand out
do not receive the recognition they deserve

a pretty face will get you many compliments
a slender body will too
but that is all you will get:
words words words
and though they can have a thousand meanings
they will never be enough
because people throw their words out with insincerity
for convenience

i want to move people
i want to make people feel things
and after long hours of contemplation
i now know what i truly need
i need not a pretty face
nor a slender body,
but i need a beautiful heart

a heart that opens up for the worst of the worst
a heart that loves unconditionally despite its painful past
a heart that pieces up broken others before itself
and you are beyond blessed to own that heart

so if you ask me who you are to me
well, you're the most beautiful person i know
we all have our insecurities, and all our lives, we work to eliminate them. we work out to lose weight. we make ourselves up to become more attractive. we do these things, thinking we will feel more perfect, in a sense. but sometimes we question how others who work less to physically enhance themselves allure the most desired people. the answer is the aura of their beautiful hearts. those who are worth it see through the Nike shirts and MAC makeup, because to them, the most fascinating part of a person is the heart.

I don't know how we got here...

I'll be honest,
I'm sorry that we're always fighting,
That we don't see eye to eye no more,
And that twinkle in your eye is gone -
I'm sorry,
That our love is withering.

I'll be honest,
I miss when things were rosy,
When you and I just made each other blush,
And our lips were inseparable;
When my hands couldn't keep away from your soft skin,
And we were acting lovey-dovey, ignoring the unrequested attention of wandering eyes.

I'm scared, when you scream and yell,
I'm heartbroken, when you cry because of me,
I'm debilitated, when you won't let me hold you,
I'm stunned, when you don't accept my apology.

I miss,
When you and I,
Didn't care much about the label,
We were good friends that's what we said...
But soon later you wanted more:
And you got it...

Then
"We",
Started becoming an underused word,
The bonds formed by mischevious nights
Shamelessly crying on one another's shoulders,
And divulging of blackmail-worthy, jaw-dropping secrets,
Starter weakening, separating...

Is there any possibility that things will get rosy again?
That you'll stop getting mad at me and I'll stop hurting you?
Is there a chance, just a slight chance,
That the girl I fell in love with will come back...
Or, have we... Have I killed her?
Maybe I'd send this to a gf when she's fighting with me :3
(but I don't have one right now :'( )

I want you,
what are you talkin 'bout?
I can't forget you,
you're all I think about.

You can feel it,
I know you do,
the chemistry,
it's undeniable -
the intense gaze,
our eyes locked
forever.
We're capable of fixing it -
we just need to rewind.

First it was talking,
then kissing,
and soon later ******* -
but now it's nothing.

Nothing...
Let's go back to square one,
you know we can:
Let's just go back to talking...

They say I should let go,
but I can't.
my heart is
dangling on a string,
attached to your angel wings.
So, my heart is
always with you,
angel.

the magazines tell me
'natural'
is a ***** word

like my bare skin
is some kind of rebellion.

i have laid no foundation.
no mascara on the windows.
so they find my architecture
unacceptable.

yet I think my home
is beautiful.
simply
because it is home.
my skin.
my nature.

still
i hear them whisper
'natural' is a ***** word -
and you don't say those out loud.
do you?
i have felt and still feel insecurity about not having a perfect face or a perfect body or perfect makeup or a perfect aesthetic.

***** it all, i say

I love it when you wear eye-liner,
and I love it when you don't
because your bare eyes are indicators of your exhaustion level

I love it when you wear foundation,
and I love it when you don't
because you make my heart sink every time you blush

I love it when you wear lipstick,
and I love it when you don't
because your lips get redder when I kiss you

I love you whatever you do
but don't feel the need to do it for my sake,
do it for you

**I love you

She started living for herself, finally, after years of doing what everyone else wanted.
She quit her job and her makeup routine, finally letting that beautiful face of hers breath.
She started writing more, inspiration finally found it's way back to her veins.
She was reborn, like a phoenix from ashes, and finally figured out how to be alive again.
You don't need makeup
Stop buying so much
It's become your crutch
It's not a good sight to see
It may seem appealing to the eye but not to my heart
I don't want you to fall apart
Just because you have nothing on
All Natural should be most of the time
I need you to be comfortable in your skin
Because there's something about messy over the seemingly perfect that pulls me in
Light rings under the eyes
The eye color regularly looking at me
That's beauty to me

"She puts too much make-up"
That's what they say.

They don't know that..
Foundation is for her pale skin
Concealer is for her stressed eyebags
Lipstick is for her sad lips
and eye-shadow is for her dead eyes

Is she conceited or she just hides everything well?
Think again.
