her eyes looked liked oceans were trapped there:
stormy and tortured
beautiful and captivating.

her was like ribbons running down her face:
smooth and flowing
stunning and graceful.

her smile was like flowers blooming in the Spring:
sweet and adorable
amazing and loved.

everything about her was lightning:
scary and sharp
intriguing and electric.
inspired by my bestfriend, who's been through o much that she deserves a poem about her.

Your eyes hit me
like a bolt of lightning
and the fire we started
burned me to the ground.

How do you still not understand?
Could never forget the life we enjoyed
You are a storm wreaking continuous havoc
With a single breath I am left destroyed

Every petal you touch gets wrecked
Hurts too bad to endure another round
Fingers feel like lightning burning my skin
Even removed tingled where your hand wrapped around
Do you ever get that electric feeling whenever someone you love takes their hand away? Almost like a phantom hand is still there?

I’ve always been scared of thunderstorms
It might be the sound or the flashing lights of lighting that make my soul wanna leap out my throat —
But you love them,
So I wanted to see a thunderstorm through your eyes, I wanted to see what you loved,
So I opened my curtains and stopped blasting my headphones and I watched and listened —
The first time lighting stuck,
I slam my eyes closed
The first thunder,
My heartbeat almost drowns it out my thoughts
But I remembered you and kept going
I sat though a storm for you
And I almost didn’t hate it

What words do you hear when I speak?
And what words have you rendered weak?
What will you do, when the truth, leaves my lips?
Will you stay?

Thunder and lightning,
We were running and hiding,
Redemption is bitter,
When we were lovers in glitter.

What lies have you heard since I left?
And what lies have you spread yourself?
What will you do, when the truth, comes to bite you?
Will you stay?

No more thunder and lightning,
No more running and hiding,
The day is turning grey,
Darling will you stay?

Lightning bolts embroidered on swaying hips;
two oceans roam with potential danger.
Come take a sip of wonder - if you dare;
let the water guide home the lost sailor.

Energy seemed to crackle around her, constantly, like lightning wanted to escape her beautifully terrible grip.
