How many poets
does it take to change a light bulb?

Two.
One to hold the ladder.
And one to tearfully consider the transitive nature of existence compounded by the tragedy of the assumption of replacement without true celebration of the individuality found at the heart of the mass produced and the beauty that can be found in a frail light fighting against the darkness inherent in an unfair world.
Yes, it s a repeat but I just needed a laugh.

Flare dewlaps just twice at the birds
Not sure if I know that it works
)She'll come back to me)
Green anole you were kind to me

Head with a tilt to scan
Eyes on a ceiling fan
Await awake
You feel no shame

And by glass pane
Drafted theory of pain
I learned what hurts the most
God please dont be a ghost

//
All the pennies that got sent
Was it time well spent
I never knew
You like how I do

The last words that she spoke
Oh father I'm the joke
I share your pain
We don't eat the same

On a slowride fleeting
As eyes drip drip dry
God I beg you please
I need that same release

//
Flock I hear soars by
I wonder if they cry
Like I do too
Clipped wings from me to you

Oh baby bird don't fly
Left me with a different kind of ghost
Not the one I need the most

I close my eyes to take the sun away // blue moon
Bat an eye to all the things these days // so true
Little rover, gettin older
A circle is just, the circles a must

Ten high just never felt the same // I puke
I felt another giveaway // just shoot
Gearing english, sporting spin
A circle is just, the circles a must

Cut me slack, I took the hard way // it's fine
Make peace and let it melt away // rewind
From me, dear you
A circle is just, the circles a must

Toss a coin to another man // bless you
And in return ill take another chance // on you
Monkey see, monkey do
I guess my fortunes told me to bid you adieu

..

If all i need is just a better view
If I can then you can too
Believe in things for me and not for you
a case of the toucan blues

Must've been the drops
I heard the speed of sound
Amphitheater lights
Emotions are the crowd

I wish it held the shape
Just like the child I found
Solid as a slate
Emotions are allowed

Everything just stops
Can't even feel it now
Raceway need of change
But I am out of bounds

So take it as a pill
Take it as you will
Everything is normal
so not much to sing or say.
No summer thunderstorm,
the snow was magical only for an hour.

Old men
aren’t removing women’s ******* with removable dentures.
A belly laugh now and then,
an empty belly’s holy.

With simple joy
mortals may forget to fear their deaths.
Simply put,
we do not survive. But what an adventure!

I heard an archangel cry
Don’t hurt the trees!
Also, save democracy.
Also, stop barking, believing in that higher power.

What’s Ken doing today?
Watching TED talk lectures,
planning next Spring’s garden.
It’s Death, not the Jewish king, in your rose garden.

As climates change
species escape predators
and predators chase down prey.
Choose sacrifice or blame.

I look at faces
and they look at mine, mute, animated spirits,
black wet rocks,
victims among flames.

I embrace my anonymity,
lost in my own city,
in the shade of a gazebo,
a mosquito’s acceptance of its position among a million mosquitoes.

Step by step. O Woman, the Guardian Angel of my heart
I would follow you to the road of happiness
I would make enormous sacrifices to join your path
I implore you to have absolutely no doubt
I’ll find you because I love you so much, I love you
I won't care about all varieties of problems
Remember the beautiful song by Alain Barrière
I will cross borders and break down barriers
To exhume you, cherish you and love you more
As was done throughout the ages
Until you come back to me, until you ultimately come back
You and I will never, never have peace
Step by step, bit by bit, little or big step
You and I will be together under a new roof.

Despite the tides, winds and hurricanes: I love you
And I shall neither scream and nor shout that I love you.

Woman, woman of my heart, if you did not come back
Step by step, I would search the encyclopedias of secrets
To find the door to your heart and the key to your soul
I will bravely cross all borders. O Woman!
Woman of my being, I am ready to be criticized
Castigated, censored, cannonaded, even crucified and nailed
As was done throughout the ages
To resurrect love and love you more
I exhort you to nourish no, no doubt
Since you will be alone on my path, on my road.
Until you come back to me, until you ultimately come back
You and I will never, never have peace
Step by step, bit by bit, small or giant step
You and I shall carry the same cross together.

Despite rain, wind and thunder: I love you
And I shall chuckle, laugh, and smile because I love you.

P.S. Tribute to Alain Bellec (Barrière), a great singer and poet.

The last breath
The last death
The last phone call
The last fall
The last funeral
The last burial
The last roll
The last poll
The last smile
The last style
The last flight
The last rite
The last crap
The last stop
Alas! Somewhere
There is a last
That we can bear
We need the past
To move on in life
After a barmy gaffe
We weep and we laugh
As we sail solo on the life raft.

You ever want to write
Something different
Than what you seem to be able to write?
Not some profound insight
Just something lite?
Lord knows I more than might,
Like,
Let's say you wake up in the dead of the night
In the stillness of the moonlight
The room is dark
But the clock is bright
Enough for sight
What you want never feels right
You want to produce light
But your muse is always ready to put up a fight
And you swear there's more to you than hurt and pain
And you know you have this talent
But when you try to use it,
It's not the same
Is it all in vain?
The thoughts that creep in
Start to feel insane
600 plus poems should be enough to drain
Each and every issues main vain
Can someone please explain?
Standing on a beach while the good in you feels like a single grain
Maybe the good in you is there but tied to the tracks of life's train
What's there to gain?
What changes if you complain?
What I've found
Is standing your ground
Will only leave you maimed

Lives end
Tears dry out

Minds waver
Bones crumble
Bodies disappear

Eyes close
Dream stop
Longings fade away

The end I hear,
A piercing cry
Shadows come near
Death's shadow coming near
