Has anyone with influence read this?
Point me in the direction of other poets? If you would; have my name mentioned once, I will mention yours for a few years, as a debt paid?

I have something to share.
Not something to say.

Would you allow me? To be here, amongst you, feeling more than myself, wanting to meet the rest of our clan?

Let me know.

Hello, I'm the Dr.

Do you ever feel your soul
Surging through you?

Energy rushing through every limb
Making you leap to your feet
Unsure of your intended destinations.

Lead,
But a little bit lost too.
We feel a need,
to love,
to cherish,
to express,

A fire in us as we
Pour ourselves into the universe.
Because we might implode otherwise.

We have our own worlds
inside of us
But they are meant to intertwine,

And become even more beautiful
Than any one of us could have imagined.
Sometimes I get this surge of energy, and I'm not always sure what to do with it.

Had a conversation with my Boss
He said he is the common sufferer
Meaning of common sufferer –
everybody takes leave or two from their job
But he is a full-time worker for maintaining
his company and studying more to be more attain.
Should I be sad about it that he works so much more than all of us
Or
be happy that he has achieved so much in life
Irony of life..
Hard work pays but hard work takes away a lot too..

( i )

I lucked out
on table 4 last night
window seat
baseboard heat
with intimate passages
from Ginsberg
in his purest
and most evident form

Cover-all Carl was draped
in his usual garb
(turning pages
of yesterday's news)
animating, culturing, bantering
on the fate of the
Greek barber
(in an accent of which
I'm not so sure)

His cronies
looked on
(with a twisted conviction)
countering
with their own tales
of ingovernance and woe
did you know that Panasonic
lost 5 billion last quarter?

The evening moved
in time lapse...
with painted winds,
streaming lights
and a host of
high school girls
running cold

Maleah passed
on her late shift
(checking the pile and trough),
patronized the boys
and called it a night

( ii )

The bald man
is back at it again
bickering at the till
(something about
a cold free coffee
or 99 cents
or the coloured guy
behind him who got it hot)
a kind Filipino
is trying to get it done
(at 8 bucks per)
losing her cool
and shedding a quiet tear

Wonder what the Purewals
or Haitians or Cossacks
would have to say
about this grim public reminder,
wonder what
this sad f*ck
will do tonight...
without his
bus pass
or sling sack
or broken Turkish stems
Rules beget subversion.
Laws beget crime.

A begets Z.
1 begot ∞.

----- begets -----.
--- begot ---.

You fill in the blanks.
Please; i'm curious!

They don't speak, all the long,
winding bus journey.  They are
strangers, with nothing in common
besides the No 50 route
and the free travel passes
afforded to them on account
of their quietly advancing years.
She sits in the seat in front of him.
Their eyes never lock.  His myopic
gaze through thick NHS lenses
rests neutral on the back of her head,
her softly blue-rinsed curls and the collar
of an eminently sensible overcoat.
They sit, both silent, as
- outside the foggy bus windows -
winter has one last chew on
time's bony old carcass.
She has a slight stoop which
she's doing her best to hide, and his
shaking hands make his liver spots blur.
They stand - the bus stopping at their
mutual destination - shuffling sideways
into the aisle, and something
unexpected
happens.
The bus jolts suddenly forwards,
then lurches to a startled halt,
and she falls backwards
into his arms
and he
catches her.
For a second,
strange gravities assume control.
There's a moment,
governed by different laws of
physics and chemistry
and half-forgotten, half-remembered biology.
She flushes, infused with something
warm and thirst-whettingly girlish, and he
surges with a newfound potency,
standing taller, the woman he's supporting
somehow lessening the burden of his age.
Her spine straightens, and
she laughs.  His face, smiling, youthens.
His hands hold her unstooped shoulders and
don't tremble.
Sun breaks through cloud outside the window.
They remember it's spring out there somewhere.
Based on an incredibly cute event I witnessed on the bus today.

He walked into the new world,
Stared at the looming plants of varied iridescence;
Around him creatures chittered and swarmed
About the threat that had yet to convince.

"I mean you no harm, I have come
To escape the clutches of violence."
The creatures did not spurn his words
Or even offer defiance.

He doubted they understood a thing he said,
Yet something in his tone communicated
To these creatures that he
Need not be attacked or hated.

Aye, it was strange to witness,
For the people of Earth rarely gave such a chance;
They would sooner him die than listen,
Display his head atop a lance.

Many people coming in
Should I even say they come here daily
Faces new
I don't even know who
How should I act
With these strangers
Not even given time to
Settle down with the first group
Then comes the other groups
Keep saying "hello" then walk away
I know it's rude
But I just can't interact
new people. THEY'RE EVERYWHERE. ok ok what should i do with them??

2.
You held the cup for me.
While a woman held my face
The biting comments about your obedience didn’t faze you.
I didn’t ask you to hold the cup.

You asked me a simple question.
I answered by putting my hands around your face.
I received what I wanted.
I didn’t ask you to ask.

You tipped your hat at our eye contact.
I smiled.
You smiled.
I didn’t ask you to look my way.

Thought trouble followed me
Feminine whims of perfume overflow
The space between these moments.
I didn’t ask for scent.

I only carry it.
