life choices cast in iron skillets,
presented choices that possess no flexibility

twice, she asks me today

morning fruitage, on offer,
peaches ripe to rip real sweet perfection
from your eyes to the remembering salivating mouth,
or
sweet but just **** enough
strawberries that will wince your tongue buds
intolerant of either, but perfect together

acorn squash,
over roasted to be the violin section
to your barbecued chicken orchestra serenading,
but which shall be the sweetener,
honey or maple syrup,
similar but different

the kitchen floor explosive shakes,
pans to the floor fall, eyelet unhooked all,
spices from cabinets burst forth,
kitchen mittens slapping each other
in utter disbelief

when I reply,
let us choose both!

for there is no bifurcation,
no line of demarcation
on our taste buds
this a truthful -
our lives a perpetual blending,
both will login lead to a
the right and proper ending

You want to
know why
you calmed me
so

Did you know that
Honey cures
how
the body flows

Your eyes
had truly
helped me
cope

Your smile wakes the butterflies in my heart,
Eyes like honey, like art
Lips so sweet, I could kiss them all night
If you get any closer, I just might.

Your hip is pressed to mine
As the stars above us shine,
I touch your heart.
And you touch mine.

Thickly glossed upon a lip, such honey pours for me.
The sweetest scent of Lavender, so falls upon your cheek.
Gaze of blue, with shade of white, bore through the heavy clouds.
The thought of you, though gone tonight, is all I am allowed.

A head upon your shoulder, where lies your auburn waves.
A kiss upon your chest, through which my heart conveys.
Lavender and honey, such a scent that makes me shiver.
Lavender and honey, wishing so to hold you nearer.
My now ex-girlfriend used to use a lavender and honey scented shampoo which I was quite fond of . I thought of this poem while we were cuddling one night >_>

Drunk on honey and milk.
In this dim lit room,
We lay under thin sheets that cling to our bodies with sweat.
The air hangs heavy here,
And it smells of you and I.

We whisper in hushed tones,
We giggle,
We kiss.
Nothing has ever felt as good as this.

Drunk on every touch of skin.
Drunk on every word of sin.
We melt into each other.
We melt into another.

This is what we live for.
This is the moment we die for.

Suddenly,
The rest of the world melts away.
It’s just us two.
You look into me,
And I look into you.

Our hearts dance to their new found rhythm.
Our lungs share the same breath of air,
And with our final sigh.
Our mouths say, “Fulfilled”--
And then we die.

Honey oozing out of your mouth as you speak
Glazing my ear with a seductive coat of kindness
Brilliantly beguiling my cartilage into a counterfeit tenderness
Diffusing its blissfully pungent aroma into my nose
Pulling my face towards you
Gracefully tilting my chin up
Eloquently dripping down your lips onto mine
Allowing me to taste your divine ooze
I can’t see your faults I only see your sweet
