Fly away, dragon child,
Away from their lies,
Away from their 'good intentions'
To keep you from the skies.

Escape while you still can,
While you're young and fresh and free.
Don't dally too long or
You'll end up just like me

My wings are clipped by cruel ideals,
Broken by twisted thoughts,
By 'reprentatives of the people'
In their high and mighty forts.

So quickly now, my little one,
Soar on wings of hope.
Something that was scrubbed away from me
Like dirt is scrubbed with soap

Slithering around my organs, twisting in my chest,
Fire-breathing on my soul, in my mind it makes a nest,
Roses of faceted scales, glitter on its spine,
Intoxication like red wine, I can’t resist their shine,
I bite my tongue, hold back the words,
In dreams I might speak out, but smoke and steam have filled my throat,
I can’t hold back a shout.

Sand on the seashore,
Wand and a bezoar,
Rustle of lace,
Legolas’ face,
Dragon’s and ghouls,
Monkeys and fools,
Knights, and Queens and fights

He stands mighty, glittering in the sunlight,
Majestic he seems, the tales do him no justice,
Forth from his lips come the sweetest voice,
“Is it not power and gold you seek,
Behind me in this cave treasure to shame the Aladdin tales,
So much lucre to color you pale,
All this is yours just for a favor I do gain,
Cadavers are all men so put them in their rightful place,
Spill their infidel blood and in God’s eyes be great”

In my mind I ponder,
Paradise lay a yonder,
From within me a still voice saves me from temptation’s fodder,
“Who are you to judge and point fingers?
Have your hands not reddened puddles,
Resist his lies for you have the treasure that all men need,
In you is great abundance,
For in that cave is a bottomless pit,
Where evil’s benefactors dwell in heat,
Therefore my dear boy resist.”

Now I know who stands before me,
His ugliness begins to sink in,
From him I turn triumphantly,
Deaf to temptation’s plea, he cannot stop me,
For he is powerless before men with roughened knees,
So from this fabled hill I descend,
Renewed and shocked by my ever present riches,
The real treasure has always been within me,
The power to love all men I see.

Once upon a time...
You & I lived lives divided
Until by fate we were united
When we first lit the fire
Once upon a time
I would watch you from a distance
Desired you, but stayed resistant
To the Urges that would cloud my mind
with Wickedness, persistent

Your perfect fairy wings
Fluttered lightly in the wind
And though I did the best I could
My thoughts were wrought with sin
And I desired you like mad
For the Angel that I had
Left me burning despicably
With wretched flames within

And You
were so
Inviting.
Your Body
Ripe
for the Taking.

Guarded you were
Behind Gates of the Dragon
Yet I watched you intently
Plotting my Ransom
Waiting on the right moment to strike
To steal you away from your
Protected Life
And to take you back with me
Into my Cell
In the dark and abysmal cave where I dwell
To teach you the ways
Us Creatures gain pleasure
To make you my Slave
And to ransack your Treasures
And then came the day
That you broke away
From the Chains
That held you to where you were safe

I saw you
And watched you
and Stalked you
Intently
While you were out searching the world
Innocently
And then,
When you were finally in reach
And we were Alone
I snatched you away
from the flowers and reeds
And stole you back with me
into my home
A cold and depressing
Dungeon of Stone

Your protector was gone
And you were all mine
When we were alone
Lost somewhere in time
And to my shock, and utter surprise
You became the flame that lit up my eyes
And slowly but surely as days slipped by
I became yours more than you became mine

And then, you escaped
or did I let you get away?
You emerged from my cave
Beautiful, unscathed
I just couldn't bring myself
to be one you hate
When your love is so sweet
I just couldn't betray it

But then, I thought
of you out in the world
Alone
On your own
My sweet pixie girl
And I couldn't
JUST COULDN'T
Handle the thought
of a Monster like me
Dragging you through the mud
Coveting you
the way that I do
But most of All
Tasting your Love

Staying put was so much harder than
trying to be your Guardian
and Rescue you
and Shelter you
from any more Hate or Abuse

And now I see my sins
Led me out of the darkness within
Into the sunshine of your life -
Where I found the Source of Light
I needed to keep me alive
And I feel like I owe you my life

And now you're free from my Prison
but I guess, so am I, in essence
In the end, the Fairy
Showed the Goblin,
He longed to be a Prince.
An allegory straight from the heart.

A wretched demon invaded my soul,
wanted his **** and feeling quite bold
Flying above and stalking his prey,
darkening the skies with his wings of grey

Beckoning calls and thunderstorms roars,
getting much closer,  looking for more.
His site is unholy, that unwieldy beast,
A fire breathing dragon ready to feast.

My sword at the ready with shield in hand,
Hell was coming fast, not by a chance.
He came for blood, but missed a mile.
Next time around, I just looked and smiled.

Two mores passes by feet did he miss
my sword struck him swiftly with
fifteen hits
He crashed in the trees, feeling beset
The dragon went down with my sword in his chest.

I respected the beast for his hard valiant fight.
Standing up tall, I felt like a knight.
His attack was for not, I do not know why.
He wanted his **** but he is the one that died
Respect the demon and you shall overcome him

I am a dragon
Majestic and glorious
hiding in a cave

Within the dragons' den—
the smoke they breathe; twists, turns, spirals
hea'enward in clouds of tar and ash
(their mouths gaping and nostrils flared).

Indeed they don't breathe fire—
    They inhale it, swallowing whole
    The ancient gift of Prometheus
(the first giver of stolen goods).

A wise woman once said:
'This is the closest one can be
    with said sacred element. Yet
    such intimacy comes with price
    (as with all sim'lar relations).

I see their wrinkled skin
And hear their deep raspy roar that
    rarely, though spontaneously
    interrupts their philosophy
(or words of the drunk lay-dragon).
An oldie of mine. But one my mind wanders to from time to time.

A sharp tongue with shark teeth
and a malicious smile with venomous saliva.
The reptiles eyes are like an alien planet.
It's soul lost within the depths of it's pupil.
It's like seeing tectonic plates shift
as they leave a black scar across a sandy red desert.
A reptile's eyes.

Dragon scales cover my skin.
For this world is filled with shattered hearts,
it is like stepping in broken glass,
I should protect myself from all your scars!

I've grown coldblooded from these cold emotions.
Icy stares and frozen thoughts.
Because your souls are trapped in arctic ice,
drifting in the same tides
every day of your cryogenic lives!

Witness the fiery eye that is the Sun.
It shines dimly behind radio active clouds.
Particles of chemical ash act like a mirror
spitting back solar rays in the face of God!
The arrogance that is man!
Earth radiates golden shadows
and the reptile is denied of heat.
I am forced to store my dragon's breath
inside the belly of my beast.

And the princess didn't run from the dragon - she couldn't, for the dragon was within.
