Make me immortal

              with the very touch,

you woke me up once

       from  a slumber of millenniums.
Remember the time beyond time when you were a bubble
in the seething cosmic soup?
Pearson Bolt Feb 2016
some 4.5 billion years ago
the atoms that would coalesce
to ***** your evanescent features
detoured to a lonely chunk of
rock aimlessly adrift in the
Milky Way Galaxy

you stayed alive by pure instinct
fight or flight
you could not thrive
yet you survived nature's
attempts to crush you in
her fearsome jaws

bits of you walked with dinosaurs
bone fragments ground to dust and
reformed over eons of evolution until
you stood upright and found a
tongue to describe planet Earth

remnants of those dead languages
live on to this very day
they inhabit the ink stains i
leave upon this yellowed page
while folk tunes croon over
my shoulder and Dallas Green
breathes a city in multicolor

a map of the universe is etched
across your face and i cannot escape
the smirk that spread with mirth
nor erase the memory of eyes
like interstellar space staring
back at me
unblinking
for 4 minutes that felt
simultaneously like a lifetime
and the space between
2 fractions of a millisecond

you came from the Big Bang
when the cells that would form
our bodies were forged in the
cores of supernovas exploding
across the cosmos and we've
been on a collision course ever since
an unstoppable force and
an immovable object
for matter
can neither be created
nor destroyed

we're traveling
this astral belt,
floating on this
makeshift rock
surrounded by the
vastness of galaxies
and cosmos--

why does it matter
if your job *****
sometimes?

feast your eyes
on the skies
and choose to be
above it--
Stardust for thought. (01.25.2016)

So, the universe is dying. It has been proven. All starlight and galactic all, every illuminant visible is dissipating. Stretching and fizzing out to cold dark nothingness, eliminating any twinkle known in her ever widening abyss, we are destined to an age of floating rocks, lifeless. Shivering howls of worlds already abandoned are an eerie silence imminent. The cold, the dark, the void of sound or light, is depraved sensory. Death is ultimate ultimatum to any and all. Even these words. As nothing is to be, see, hear, feel, smell or taste, just dust speckling her.

Long drawn out inarticulateness, I wonder if she shall ever be able to speak again. Waxing moon in candelabra sky, lid, the blue, goodbye. A lull in space noise clamor finds faint ping. In an arched cosmos, bend an ear, hear her sing. She softens orbiting dominions, pleases an empire's hard wire. Letting sound stem, turn out, and cry, a gush of heaving out is implied. Imploding upon a deafening madness she dies. Big Bang to Softened Ping, we're somewhere in the middle of her journey.
I heard our universe is dying.

The entire universe,
Adapted from your eyes,
Galaxies are made,
With a smile on your face,
Supernovas explode,
Every time a teardrop flowed,
Supermassive black hole,
That swallowed my soul,
Constellations became,
At the sound of your name,
You're stardust,
Recycled unparalleled,
Alas! every single day,
You're light years away.

They say love has no face- so how can love be blind?
I heard failures make for good success stories, but how if I'm afraid to fall
better yet fly?
I know we are made up of matter from the universe like the cosmos, galaxy and stars, but why can't
I shine and shoot across the sky?
Good triumphs evil, but I still am a skeptic
If this is so
why is my world so corrupt and hectic?
I know that if you speak it into existence, it will eventually become yours
so why is it what I ask for..
I've never seen it knock at my
door?
Its factual that we all are blessed  with the breath
of life
But why are we also cursed with the kiss of death?
We think we see all, but what all exist ?
I want to know the meaning of life and what's the purpose
I want to know why there's more questions than answers
On my life-long list.
A little something I wrote from the top of my mind. It stared when I was in a chemistry class when my classmate was asked "Do you ever think about the meaning of life?" I replied, well that's silly, If you dont think about it then was passion and meaning does your life actually hold?

Talk to me about space
About the incredible cosmos
About the way we were all
Made of stardust, talk to me
About the way your hair bleeds colour
When you bathe, about your nightmares
After an evening with your parents, talk to me
About the girls you've kissed and the girls you've wanted to kiss,
Tell me about all the things that bind your soul
To this dusty rock we call home,
For that is where your truth lies.
Tell me what you feel about couples having PDA
On the subway, if you feel jealous or indifferent, talk to me
About the liminal spaces, the coffee shops, cross roads, train stations
Where we have a 1 in a billion chance of meeting our soulmates,
Tell me about the pain you felt when your brother died,
The nights you couldn't sleep because of all the tears
That would never fall, because your heart had gone numb.
Talk to me about you. No, not you, You.
The girl with the cosmos in her body. The you I fell in love with, after all we were made of adjacent stardust.
Talk to me.

with a hair tuck the atoms bent
to curl in a loop around her ear
compressed into a snaking stream
of custard comets, pouring down
her neck, over collar bones, passed
the ribcage made of gold limestone
holding grains of sparrows eggs turned
to sand, from ten thousand years ago

seeping into skin, grey fake tan of
statues, mountains, ocean beds alike
the ache in the pulse at her wrist from
the steady thrum injection of the worlds
squeezed, twisted, turned and churned
into a potion, a medicinal miracle, a fine
powder substance that grows at liquid's
touch.

dripping through her palms, fingertips
to create a stain upon the sugar paper
flesh of others, like a children's picture
turned tattoo in highlighted colour and
sound, drumming into ears, road works
on the way to the brain, cause a migraine
cells screeching to infiltrate all they touch
bred, genetically modified, embitterment
of the human race, a flawless system of
this, that, none other, its aim to destruct
befores and reconstruct them differently
against the wishes of the girl who calmly
indifferently, lazily, unknowingly, seductively
tucked that lock of hair behind her ear.

There is a light within
A shine without
An infinite source
The mind with doubt
Beyond the universe
Cosmic between
Eternally it goes
It is rarely seen
It's take your mind
Tears your soul
You find yourself
Life takes it toll

at first you were a flicker in the chasm of the skies
just one, amongst many thousands: sparkling, twinkling
but you drew closer and I saw, a curiousness in your eyes

the butterflies you made me feel at first soon flew away
Drowned by the vast earth-shattering waterfalls, that trickle down my spine,
and make our talks taste different every day.
I feel your universe, grows ever nearer mine...

And then: the galaxies collide. How bright we shine!
The stars- so nice together! the nebulae exchange
Their secrets in hushed melodies, you freely rearrange
My constellations. Paths never meant to intertwine,
And yet- your universe, grows ever nearer mine.

But you pass through, you leave my stars,
my constellations. No. Not even gravity would dare confine
Your galaxy, deserving life that’s free of any bars
And yet-where is that universe, that passed so close to mine?!

And I look up, and you’re a flicker in the chasm of the skies,
just one amongst the many thousands: sparkling, twinkling...
as you draw further, I recall infinity I once knew in your eyes.
