Outside the window
Where I sit by,
This tree is there,
“Rain tree” all call her;
I see how she smiles with rain
Ornamenting blossoms all over!!
I talk with her,
I weep with her,
I share all those ruminating stories
That I left behind.....
She smiles and nodes
She consoles and encourages
Through her greens and wilted leaves, abscised branches
I rest my soul
On those wide opened canopy
And let my emotions fly away......
The tree, the “Rain Tree”
Let me call her
“My Soul Tree!!”

Come here.
Let’s.
Let’s?
Let’s…
Let’s.

Come here.
Listen to Edith Piaf
(So hipster, n'est-ce pas?)
and the scratch of her
voice on the turntable,
will be ours
to keep in Moleskine
notebooks of memory.
So that we’ll try to believe,
love is actually a thing.
Let’s.

Come here.
This quaint room will be
ours,
our guest, as we breathe life
into the coffee cups, wooden chairs.
We’ll give it a nose, yes.
Lightbulbs will smell red
wine in fingerprinted glasses.
Windows will drink
us,
to us.
And we’ll laugh, our faces
hot and sad, mouths
crammed with French
fries.
A scene blurred with happiness.
Let’s.

Come here.
Trash the hands of every
boy, who’s spread himself
out on marginalia of our days.
Slathered himself on pieces
of time we wish we had hugged to ourselves.
Hate, hate, hate
him, we’ll say.
And his **** hands.
Let’s.

Come here.
Our eyes will be fireflies
behind our glasses,
in this cinema’s night, as we ‘swoon’
at rom-coms as buttery
as the popcorn we bought in the interval.
Life’s too short, we say.
Eat about it, drink about it,
maybe even talk about it.
Forget about it.
Let’s.

Come here.
Talk, about nothing.
We’ll all be dead one day.
Let’s.

Come here.
We can be friends.
Let’s.

Let’s.
Let’s.
Let’s?

(And your giggle will end
all and every verse written.
I’m **** sure of it.)
About my lovely, lovely friend who also writes lovely, lovely poetry.

Nerves pulled taute at an alarming rate,
Sitting on the edge of too many choices, a spate,
Leading to indecision and dizziness, changed
From horizontal, too vertical, too fast, deranged

To be awake at such an hour,
As the body tries to tap into power,
But hears this " take warning early morning"
Ahead, and a head still fuzzy while scorning,

Is there really a reason to get out of bed
at 5:19?

There are chores,
There are meals to prepare,
There is reading and meditation,
There is the routine of a morning constitutional!

There is full time employ...ment.

But all of these wait in line,
As care of a friend o'mine

Comes first,
We burst,

Into the morning,
Despite weather warnings,

And on good days too,
In the early morning,

We walk the same route,
And the same distance,

We have our pace, for instance,
My two legs keep up with her four,

She is never more excited then before
We go out the door, this is not a chore,

She pulls, she stops and drop to ***,
She is content and relaxed beside me,

She repeats as often as is necessary,
It all belongs, it is her territory,

In the early morning, I will, we will
Continue to walk, each and everyday,

We will arrive at three hundred and sixty five,
Morning jaunts
Again this year, it is a joy to move and be so alive,

With her, in the early morning,
We think not on, the mornings past,
nor, that the mornings won't last
forever,
We only think on the present, the one we share,
In the moments found only in the early morning.

While the world around us revs its engine to a roar,
All we hear are birds,  paws with toenails on pavement or
Raindrops falling and wind calling us to stay longer, and more

Where there are no cares to wear on us,
We have each other, and it is early morning.

I have my father's mind:
logical, quick-witted, carefree,
always searching for sublime meaning
in words and people
over a third cup of tea.

and my mother's heart;
soft, selfless to a fault, empathetic
searching for ways to attain happiness
for everyone but themselves;
ultimately alone.

Within me,
*they are still together.

Do you ever want for things you cannot have?
Skin on skin, heart on heart
Warmth, closeness
Hands in hands and mouths that mirror each other into grins
Shadows side by side
Companionship.
Trust.
That chemical reaction that takes place in our brains that they call happy
Do you ever want for things you don't think you'll ever have?

A deep companionship
Why has it come to seem as myth?
And why would the buzzing electricity of connected souls
Fall amidst our space?
Those eyes that showed me the universe
Yet while reflecting within my skin
So many days
Rarely breaking our compass
The daily greetings you gave
Returned life to my corpse
And at night we would wallow
In the pains of our thoughts
Until your so tired head
Found its rest on my chest
If ever you were gone
My thoughts were nothing but of you
Always upon your return
My day started new
But you've taken your leave
The flying moon found its bed
Every sun that comes up
Pales in the shine of it then

X marks the spot but still I am lost,
Stuck on the spot but feeling drawn to you.
My lips go dry, yearning after your gentle touch.
Seeing you there shivering on the curb                                 brings tears to my eyes.
      You hold out your hand,
                  I am found.
Hope you enjoy and any thoughts/feedback appreciated!

Close your eyes honey.
Take my friendly hand
Let me carry your worries
Close your mind ' s eye
I know a place you' d like.
I know of this island
It has a comfy house on the sea
shore ' s sand .
The house encircled with a plush
lawn ,
And on this island the sun never
frowns .
See her laying on the sea, but she
will be up by dawn .

Can you hear the sweet song from
the brushes ?
Can you see how the water , to the
shore , rushes ?
Look in the pretty clear sky
See the variety of beautiful birds
flying by.
Please honey , let me make your
heart smile .

In this sweet get away
let me bear your pain and kiss your
worries away .
Tell me that you love me and that you'll stay,
because time takes passion slowly away,
and I don't care if you forget my name,
but all the same,
remember how I made you Feel.

See, love is just a word with no meaning
and more than once I've been left dreaming.
Hopeless romantics can't compete
with how much I succumb to cold feet.
But, all the same,
remember how you made me Listen.

Smell the dead roses scattered about.
The petals die amongst new sprouts,
just as this, you spoke my name,
but all the same,
remember please, our Taste of freedom.

My Senses spin with unfulfilled desire,
and upon silent lips, the coldest fire.
Yet still, I wish to hear that phrase,
"I love you," more than ever these days,

but all the same,
and upon my name,

what you couldn't say
I cannot blame.

Tap , tap, tap and tap
Is all to hear , as my feet and the
floor clap .
Round , round, round and round
As we whirl in the music' s
rhythmic sound .

Play , play , play , please play
Those sweet songs and drive my
head hay,
As our souls entangle in the
ecstasy .
Oh , what sweet journey into
fantasy .
Let ' s dance again ,
My only repeller of sadness and
pain .

Let ' s dance again , but this time
slowly .
Hold me close and hug me tightly
So i can smell that sweet scent of
jasmine
And listen to the thumping of your
heart and mine.
Let ' s dance dear lovely angel
Till we fall asleep with a song of
handel' s .
